Nestled on a hillside in the picturesque mountain village of Sambugaro, this charming stone-built chalet is ideally set up for alfresco living with plenty of outside space. Guests can dine on the terrace, prepare meals on the BBQ, or simply unwind in the spacious garden, soaking in the serene surroundings.

Arranged over three floors of a typical Ticinese chalet the rustic, wood-beamed, panelled interior offers guests a cosy retreat after a busy day exploring with central heating and a fireplace.

On the ground floor guests will find a delightful living space with an open kitchen, a dining table and a cosy seating area by the fireplace. The kitchen is fitted with; a Nespresso Coffee Machine, a cooker hob, an oven and a fridge freezer.

Upon arrival, you\'ll find a complimentary welcome kit that includes one bath towel and one face towel per person, a shower kit, two rolls of toilet paper, a kitchen kit with dish soap and a sponge, and a 35-litre garbage bag provided by the municipality.
As this is a self-catering accommodation, these items are provided in case you forget anything and are kindly provided. Any other products you may need during your stay can be purchased at nearby supermarkets.


Location

The property is located in the picturesque town of Sambugaro, ‘Sambüie’ in the heart of the Verzasca Valley and a 15-minute walk to the famous Ponte dei Salti (a 30-minute walk uphill back) and the Verzasca River. Here guests will also find a popular swimming spot, for people who are brave enough to take a dip in the refreshing water. Adventurers can also try a day out canyoning from the Ponte Bivio Corippo (a 7-minute drive). There are two restaurants within a 10-minute walk (a 3-minute drive) and a grocery store a 13-minute drive away.

For something more refined, the beautiful city of Locarno, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, is 30-minute drive away. Here guests can pick up the best local produce at the farmers market every Thursday in Piazza Grande where there are also stalls selling regional crafts, second-hand clothes and books.

Popular excursions include a trip to the town of Bellinzona (a 40-minute drive), a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its 3 medieval castles, and if you miss the Locarno market, then Bellinzona’s weekly market (Saturday morning) is one of the best in the region.

The closest international airport is Milan Malpensa, a 1 hour 50-minute drive. Public transport options are limited, so a car is recommended to fully explore the surrounding areas.
