We loved our stay. It is quiet, so is the local town. It is a scenic drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and so clean! We had one mix-up with the security gate, but it all worked out! We will be back!

Cabin was clean and the area was pleasant. The bed was fabulous ( only used the downstairs bed). Description and pics adequately present the property. Some note the bed is high. It is, however a step stool was under the bed if needed. Neither my wife nor myself are very tall and we did not need it. The driveway is steep and somewhat short. We were able to manage it in a 2500 double cab SRW, without any trouble. We would definitely stay in Rocky Hollow again.

Close to everything but very quite and peaceful

30 mins from pigeon forge, 40 mins from gatlinburg, 10 mins from the park...this cabin community is in a gated community with nice roads, nice cabins, surrounding a golf course. Very well kept community but also still secluded and peaceful. Will definitely return!

We loved the cabin. The stair case was amazing. Everyone had their own space and it was just what we needed. We have stayed on the golf course before and it's perfect. We were able to get every where we needed within 20-30 minutes from the location. The beds were comfortable and the air worked great. We even got to see a deer outside the bedroom window and a bear on the way home. The kitchen had basic pots and pans to use and included a dish washer. Thank you for having us.

We were very happy with the cabin and found it very clean and comfortable. It is in a very beautiful area near a golf course. It has a lovely front porch and deck. I would definitely stay again if possible.

This is the place to be!

Had an absolute wonderful time at this cabin. It is out of the main stream of all the tourist racket and traffic. Great communication with the owner, and so many nice amenities. We are looking forward to a return trip next go round!

Great stay on the quiet side of the mountain

My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend together. She is in graduate school at UT and can’t visit home often. I appreciated the ability to bring our dogs so that my daughter could see them because she misses them very much. We made some good memories sitting together on the porch. Thanks for a great stay.

So cozy and extremely clean. My mother and I rocked for hours on the front porch. Very quiet, and really convenient to everything. Sadly, we didnt see any bears though.😔

Fall stay at Rocky Hollow

Our stay at the cabin was enjoyable. The cabin was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The linens were are clean and white as was the entire home. Be prepared for a steep driveway. We had two cars and had to decide how to navigate parking. All in all we had a wonderful week!

Relaxing stay at spotless cabin

Our family of three had a lovely time at Rocky Hollow. The location was quiet, the cabin was very clean and the beds were quite comfy. There is a hot tub upstairs that isn’t functioning but that wasn’t an issue for us. Our communication with the owners was seamless. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Townsend

Everything was wonderful!! Everyone needs to read the information on BEARS. On our morning to leave there were 5 bears around the cabin. We had to wait for them to leave before we could leave!! We read the tip about DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN CAR!!! and thankfully they left our car alone. The only negative we had is no tv in den downstairs.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin was clean and well equipped. Description said hot tub then underneath listed it as a garden tub. There is no hot tub. The garden tub did not have a faucet so it was not able to be used. The driveway was a bit steep. But overall we enjoyed our stay. Great location for access to the National Park.

Wonderful vacation in a perfect cabin

This cabin was exactly what we wanted, expected, and needed. Communication with the owner was completely timely and satisfactory. Kitchen supplies were everything needed to cook meals. Water pressure & hot water amounts were great. Furniture was comfortable. Beds & bedding were perfectly comfortable. The driveway is slightly steep but was completely manageable with backing in to park our F250 pickup. The grill was absolutely completely clean and the outdoor seating on the front and back porches were perfect to enjoy the cool weather. Wood for the fireplace was provided and that was very much appreciated. A week was just not long enough in this comfortable cabin in such a nice quiet neighborhood. We did not see a bear but a turkey did cruise through. The sound of the birds early in the morning was wonderful to hear. We will definitely return to this cabin.

Peaceful but Hairy

We enjoyed our stay here. The property manager was very responsive to messages. The fireplace was amazing. We did note that throughout the house the cleanliness was lacking as there was dust and pet hair everywhere. We were aware of it being a pet-friendly location, however, with the fee for pets staying there, we did expect a deep cleaning to be done after each pet visit. We also enjoyed the access to a washer and dryer. We do wish there would have been a TV downstairs so we did not have to take snacks for the games upstairs. We were unable to cast to the TV as it was an older model and there were issues with the Roku allowing access for casting due to needing an access pin. Overall, we enjoyed a relaxing long weekend for the holiday.

We arrived in the Smokies over 16 years ago. Our first trip was a fly fishing adventure. Until then, my only Smokies adventure had been to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Townsend proved to be an oasis in the mountains. The setting is serene and peaceful and without the trappings of the more recognized areas. Trout were not the only things hooked that weekend... we were as well. Just one year later, we arrived in Townsend to live full time. It took a year to make it happen, but we were determined to make the Smokies our home.
We surely can not imagine living anywhere else. Waking every morning to the sunrise over the mountains, and the sights and sounds of the birds and other wild life living in the area, is an unbelievable experience.

It has been our objective to educate others about the wonders of living here in this beautiful place and we have done our best to create an environment that will hopefully give our guests a place to call home when they come to visit.
The number of returning guests has grown greatly in the past years.
If your dates of arrival are not available for this cabin, try our other cabins
also on VRBO.

Why they chose this property

This home is located in a true mountain community with paved roadways and easy access.. The community is located only minuets from the Cades Cove entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

What makes this property unique

It is our mission to maintain our cabins in a manner that will never disappoint. We are VERY local and we keep a watchful eye over our retreats.
We want you to consider our cabins your home away from home in the Smokies.
