Kiahuna Plantation Resort, on Poipu Beach, is one of the most popular destinations on Kauai. The property offers 35 acres of tropical gardens, lawns, and beachfront along with the famous South Shore sunshine.

Kiahuna Unit #155 is a second story (top floor) one bedroom Garden Paradise Category which is very quiet and private and has a beautiful view of the expansive central lawn area. It is a one minute walk to the beach where you may check out complimentary beach towels and chairs. Parking and high speed Wi-Fi internet access is also complimentary. Air conditioning units in both living area and bedroom area.

Access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club is also provided. This includes a beautiful pool with water slide, waterfall, shallow end sand beach, and hot tub; tennis courts; workout facility with weight room, weights, and cardio equipment. A personal trainer is available and daily classes (Except Monday) in Yoga, Aerobics, Core, Zumba, and more are available at a nominal charge.

We have stayed at many Kiahuna Plantation units and this is one of the best! They have managed to combine the old world charm of Hawaii with a modern, comfortable touch. It was clean, comfy bed, beautiful view, and very well stocked. Probably the best stocked kitchen of any condo. The owner is extremely helpful, thoughtful and easy to contact. Don’t hesitate. This unit will delight you.

We had a great stay! Location is perfect with close beach access and athletic club across the street. The kids enjoyed the pool there while we had food and drinks at the Cabana. Property was clean and kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

This exceeded my expectations! Very comfortable, the bed was amazing. Well equipped unit that had all the appliances we needed, including a coffee grinder and French press for our fresh Kauai coffee bean we bought at the plantation. Location was perfect for Kauai. We saw the entire island in a week. Beach was great. Grounds were clean and had plenty of space. We will be back!

Awesome Condo - perfect location and great communication from owner

Amazing location steps from Poipu Beach. Was great to have a full kitchen to make some food at the unit and also tons of great eat out options within walking distance. Poipu Athletic Club across the street for pool option as well, complimentary passes to club included as part of check in! Owner was very communicative throughout the entire process from booking to check in to check out. Would absolutely stay here again.

Just spent 6 days & 5 nights here and loved it. Space was good for 2 adults & a 7 y/o. Place was clean and as described. Had everything you could need including great A/C. Real bonus was proximity to Kiahuna Beach and 2 minute drive to Poipu Beach (which was our favorite beach). Probably our favorite amenity was access to Poipu Athletic Club - the pool, facilities and were fantastic. I’ve already recommended James & Sandy’s place to our neighbors and will continue to highly recommend.

Perfect location. Great condo. Super quiet, but light sleepers may hear the furnace from the bedroom, even though it’s outside. I’ve never heard any roosters in the morning or during the day. High-quality kitchenware. Super convenient and has everything you need and more. Both AC units work perfectly. Definitely recommend!

Perfect place to relax!

We have stayed at Kiahuna many times, and this is our favorite unit! Jim and Sandy are wonderful hosts with great communication. #155 is beautiful with the perfect kitchen items for preparing meals and several thoughtful items for enjoying the beach nearby. The building is situated perfectly to have windows open during the day with trade winds blowing, and the AC units worked wonderfully to keep it cool at night after a couple of 90 degree days. We love the location and enjoy walking to nearby restaurants. We will definitely book again.

We love the Plantation Resort. The only negative is that the Plantation Restaurant never reopened after COVID. The amount of rain was about what we expected. It never lasted very long. Temperatures were consistently in the upper 70s.

Very nice unit in wonderful area.

This is unit is updated - with great decor and furnishings. The kitchen has all of the kitchen items you may need! The garden view is very nice and the walk to the beach is short. I would give it 4.5 stars if that was possible. We have stayed in three units in Kiahuna Plantation and other units offer boogie boards, coolers and sun umbrellas. This unit doesn't have those things. But, the air conditioning works great and surf boards, boogie boards and snorkel grear are availble to rent at the beach hut for a modest cost. If this unit is availble for our next trip we would absolutely rent it again!

Great place to stay in Poipu

My husband and I brought our 2yr-old daughter and had a great stay. The condo is nice and clean and has everything you need including beach chairs and an umbrella. We appreciated the AC for afternoon naps too. The whole complex is wonderful - huge beautiful grassy lawns for the kids to run around and a great space with chairs to watch sunset. The beach right outside the complex was too narrow with no access but the other beaches are just a quick walk. My husband rented a surfboard right from their beach hut which was a bonus. It's also walking distance to a very nice shopping center, restaurants and the athletic club where we enjoyed the pool twice. Our daughter loved the shallow sandy area. The hosts were very communicative and everything was smooth and easy. For a few-night stay we highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We had 2 adults and 2 kids under 12 for 11 nights. The kids slept fine on the pullout couch in the living room. The bedroom was very cool and the bed was comfortable. The condo was super clean and stocked with everything we could need, including beach chairs and umbrellas. The location was amazing with a quick walk to the beach and the amazing athletic club. Loved that it included free beach towel rentals! We rented surf boards and spent everyday at the beach. We used the bbq on site and loved that there was also a laundromat on site as well. We used the athletic club everyday between working out, the restaurant and awesome pool with slide. The athletic club had something for everyone of us in the family. The condo was within walking distance to many great restaurants and a quick drive to many other places to eat/shop. Will be coming back to stay in this condo again for sure!

Great place; short walk to the beach!

This is a wonderful condo (look at the pics!). Plenty of space, well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed, and pleasantly decorated. There are 3 ceiling fans and louvered windows to keep you cool. There is no ocean view, but the complex is right on Kiahuna beach (2-3 min walk through the grounds from the condo). Poipu beach (the most popular beach in Kauai) is 5-10 min walk, but honestly Kiahuna beach right in front of the complex offers great snorkeling and 90% less crowd, so you're probably better off just staying close. The beach hut offers free towels, free chairs (non-folding deck chairs, deck loungers, etc) and other gear for rent, such as umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkel sets for typical island rates. If you need a folding chair to take to another beach then you'll need to rent it some place else. The towels can be traded for dry ones as much as you like, which is really nice. They also offer surfing lessons and snacks, such as ice cream (!), for a reasonable fee. This is a really big condo complex (~40 condo buildings, 300? units). It's managed almost like a hotel -- there's a 24 hour registration office that will give you your door key card, beach towel cards, etc. There's a restaurant on-site and a coffee shop right across the street, but the line was very long, so we avoided it. The hosts are in San Diego and were very responsive and seemed very nice from the messages they sent. Bottom line: If you're looking to stay in the Poipu area, then this is a great place. Poipu is very touristy though, so if you're looking for a quiet, isolated island getaway, something a little more "off the beaten path" -- then you may want to avoid Poipu entirely.
