Sleeping up to 12 guests across six stylish bedrooms, this elegant property is the perfect escape for family gatherings or group getaways by the sea.
As you arrive, ample parking for 2-4 cars sets the tone for a stress-free stay. Step into the porch, ideal for beach gear, boots, and coats, before entering the main hallway where there is a convenient downstairs WC and a quiet office space for those who can’t quite escape work.
Glass doors lead you into the heart of the home: a stunning open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area. The kitchen is a cook’s delight, fully equipped with masses of storage, twin Neff ovens, a four-ring induction hob, and every essential for preparing family meals. Gather around the large dining table or relax on plush leather sofas and enjoy the views. Patio doors open onto an expansive balcony with stylish wicker seating and awe-inspiring sea views, perfect for your morning coffee or sunset drinks.
Just off the main living area is a second lounge, a dual-aspect sanctuary bathed in natural light with access to the balcony from both sides. Comfortable sofas, a tranquil sea-inspired palette of whites, greys, and blues, and more breathtaking coastal vistas ensure a relaxed, luxurious ambiance throughout.
Upstairs, the top floor boasts a magnificent master suite with a super king-size bed and Juliet balcony overlooking Millendreath Beach, mature gardens, and the sea. An ensuite with walk-in shower and ample storage completes this restful haven. A bright and spacious double bedroom sits on the same floor also benefitting from generous storage and quality bed linens throughout ensure a comfortable stay.
On the ground floor are three beautiful bedrooms: one twin room ideal for children or adults, and two expansive king-size rooms, both with garden and sea views, one with an ensuite shower room. A large, luxurious family bathroom features a walk-in mixer shower, freestanding bath, heated towel rail, and ambient lighting.
The lower ground floor is a self-contained sanctuary featuring a king-size bedroom with elegant cornicing and generous storage. A practical shower room serves this level. The downstairs lounge with leather recliners flows seamlessly into a sunny conservatory and second kitchen/dining area. Patio doors open onto a spacious terrace with dining furniture and a gas BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining and long, lazy evenings.
The south-facing, sloping gardens are a true highlight. Wander through mature plantings of rhododendrons, camelias, and azaleas, or relax on one of furnished patios. At the garden’s edge, a slate-paved terrace offers the perfect spot to sit back and listen to the waves crashing below, a blissful reminder you’re only moments from the sea.
Plaidy Beach is just a short walk down the hill and is a pretty, peaceful cove with a mix of sand, pebbles, and fascinating rock pools to explore. At the base of the cliff directly below the property lies Millendreath Beach, a larger sandy bay accessed via a steep path with plenty of steps. It’s well worth the effort to enjoy the sandy beach often frequented by local sea swimmers. Paddleboard and kayak hire are available in the Summer months and there is a popular beachside café and bar. The bustling fishing town of Looe is just a five-minute drive or a scenic 25-minute walk along the rugged coastal path. The walk is hilly in places but offers truly spectacular sea views. Looe itself has an array of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and boat trips to enjoy.
Please note that the property is arranged over four floors and is therefore only suitable for guests who can manage stairs. One well-behaved pet is welcome, but must not be left alone in the property and kept contained to the hard floor living areas. This is the perfect home for making lasting family memories by the sea in beautiful Cornwall.
