In The Woods feels like an oasis conveniently situated on 10 wooded acres. If you are looking for a quiet serene location without giving up convenience of places nearby, you’ve arrived! Guests can now relax on the new patio. Only 5 minutes to explore downtown Eau Claire's shops, restaurants, and much more. Just a few minute drive to Mayo and Oak Leaf. Bring your bike, trails are right around the corner.
We have a pet free, smoke free home to welcome guests with allergies.
Wildlife included.

The living room is furnished with comfortable furniture, high speed internet (WiFi), Smart TV, Satellite, Blu-ray DVD player, games and a small library.

Kitchen
Create your favorite meal in a fully-stocked kitchen. i.e. a slow cooker, mixer, blender, dutch oven, pots and pans and more! Keurig and traditional coffee maker, coffee grinder, french press and tea pot. We offer a variety of coffee and Keurig pods.

Bedrooms
Two bedrooms have queen beds with down comforters (seasonal), king size pillows. The third bedroom/office has a twin XL bed suitable for an adult.

Bathroom
The linen closet consists of bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, hair dryer, first aid kit along with space for personal items.

Basement
Guests laundry area washer and dryer. Designated area holds a large movie library, games, and books.

Patio off the kitchen suitable for 5 guests.

For everyone's protection, exterior-only 24/7 video monitoring is in place clearly posted on the property.

Paul and Anita have a wonderful place. Clean comfortable and a great eye for detail. The view and surroundings are amazing in the middle of everywhere but you could especially escape from the hustle and bustle. We will book again!

Everything about this stay was wonderfully perfect. The home was beautiful. The area was the perfect wooded escape while not being too far from stores/food etc. the home had everything we needed in the kitchen and bath. Truly my favorite VRBO that I have stayed in to date and we will definitely be going back!

My experience with the little house in the woods was wonderful! It was very easy to check in, the house was immaculately maintained, and we had everything we needed in terms of beds, linens, and the like. I woke up to a family of deer that had bedded down over the night and watched them while I drank my coffee for a relaxing first morning on the property. Just follow the house rules and this is a great place to stay! My friend and I used it as a 2026 planning retreat, it was a perfect fit for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with any kitchen utensil we could have asked for. There are also paper plates and cups if you wanted to forgo making dishes during your stay. Every little detail was well thought out by the hosts. 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful property

My family and I stayed here for the weekend of my daughter’s wedding. The home and location worked perfectly: only 6 minutes from the church and 10 minutes from the reception venue. Plenty of space for my family of five. I am labeled as a “clean freak” by my family and friends, and even I was blown away at how immaculate the house was! Whenever I need to come up to Eau Claire for an extended stay, Paul and Anita’s property will be my go-to!

Great wooded retreat!

Very clean, tastefully decorated and very secluded even though you are basically in town. Saw turkey and deer wondering around. The hosts were quite friendly and easily reachable if you needed them for any reason. Will be staying there again.

Quiet little get away

My sister and I stayed here. We LOVED the place. It had everything we needed and we loved the quiet wooded setting. Yet we were close to everything we wanted to do in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley area. Highly recommended!!

Nice hideaway

Nice quiet location tucked into the woods with deer and turkey sightings out the window. Place was clean and provided all the necessary amenities. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy and also not far from stores, restaurants, parks, and city life.
