About this property

The Davis Historic Home

The Davis apartment is the unit located on the right side of the building as you are facing it. It is within one mile of Downtown Eau Claire's shops, restaurants, and bars. It's also a 10 minute drive to the music festival grounds (Eaux Claires, Blue Ox, Country Jam) and a 5 minute drive to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. This apartment is currently under renovations and will be full of character and amenities including a small concrete patio with a dedicated grill.

This property has a long history and we were determined to keep that history while updating towards a more modern, welcoming look. Constructed in 1881 during the waning years of logging in Eau Claire, the house features a gable front and wing façade and wood frame, characteristic of Folk Victorian architecture. The house maintains its original wood siding and windows, as well as its original decorative porch.

With updated amenities guests will feel right at home. During the summer guests can enjoy a beautiful patio and short walks to local parks.

This property met our needs for the weekend. The host was easy to communicate with, the house was clean and had many of the extras like toothpaste and toiletries. My only complaint is that the pull out couch was not comfortable and we were happy to have brought a blow up mattress to comfortably sleep 6 guests.

This is a great little place to stay in Eau Claire. Its close to everything and very cute and cozy. We stayed in Davis and it was perfect. Wish weather would of been better to take advantage of the outdoor back yard. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We had an excellent stay! The house was very cute, clean and the location was great. The thermostat was locked, which I understand, but it was a bit warm for our liking. House was well stocked with plenty of everything you might need. Beds, pillows, and furniture were very comfortable. Nice modern kitchen. The only less than perfect thing was that the upstairs was quite warm, as it was a warm week and there didn't seem to be any air conditioning upstairs.

Nice spot for a weekend visit to Eau Claire

Back to Eau Claire for Blue Ox Music Festival. This is a great home for two couples, or family with older kids. Nicely redone property. Everything functioned well. Street out front is currently under construction so parking may be limited until that is complete. Spot in alley was great for us and rideshares found us without too much trouble. Host quickly answered questions, which is always appreciated. Will definitely keep on our list for future visits to this area of Wisconsin.

Immaculately clean! Lovely patio with umbrella table. Plenty of seating indoors too. Plenty of towels. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen needs a few pots and pans. The few there were had very scratched teflon surfaces. We attended some really nice free concerts in several area parks, so having a couple of the fold up nylon chairs to take to those concerts would have been nice. Pool and pickleball courts were just a 10 minute drive from the house. If you’re traveling with another person, ask them not to flush a toilet while you’re in the shower as the shower will get VERY HOT for a couple of minutes.All in all, we’d stay there again! The landlord was very responsive to our request for repair of the back door and for oven mitts, both of which were very much appreciated as we cooked and used the oven while we stayed there.
