Charming Hilltop Home with City View
This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom little beauty over looks beautiful downtown Chippewa Falls. This home is near the Heyde Center for the Arts and is close to all that the City of Chippewa Falls has to offer.
This 120 year old home is fully renovated with all of the character and charm left in place. Our home has two gas fireplaces perfect for cold winter nights. The home is equipped with Kenmore Elite appliances.
Spend the evening in our quaintly lit back yard. Take in the sunset on the porch and be sure to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner on the deck overlooking the city. Enjoy a nice fire on the brick patio or soak away your stress in our outdoor hottub. Please note the outdoor hottub (seasonal) May 1- Thanksgiving. (Occasionally opened by late March-message us to confirm).
Our home is a perfect stay for those having their wedding at the Heyde Center for the Arts. Bridal parties use the home to get ready for the big day, the married couple retreat back to the home for a romantic wedding night and it is a great gift opening location the day after!
We are also near the Chippewa Falls Ice Arena, home to the Chippewa Steel Hockey Team! We are a hockey family through and through and love the Steel! This house is a great location for Steel families to spend the weekend watching their favorite hockey player!

We loved our stay. The home was adorable, spacious, and perfect for our family of five. Our only regret was that we didn't get to enjoy it longer due to an extended family event. We hope to return the next time we are visiting family in the area!
Great location for walking distance from downtown and Leinie Lodge. Quaint old home with a lot of space for 5 of us. We enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit. It was a bonus that the wood was provided for us.
We enjoyed our brief weekend stay. Kids loved the bedrooms, laundry shoot, and games/toys. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and close proximity to trails, restaurants and activities. House is well maintained and supplied generously. We would stay again.
This was a wonderful home! It was meticulously clean and within walking distance of downtown Chippewa. The home has a historically significant past, and has amazing details throughout. The view from the deck is gorgeous. The owner was very responsive and helpful! I highly recommend this home!
This property is a hidden historical gem just steps from the Heyde Center. Lovely historical property with a gorgeous deck overlooking downtown CF. And did I mention the hot tub? Highly recommend!
My family needed to come Chippewa Falls for a funeral. The home was clean, and in a great neighborhood. We would love to return for a happier time stay.
Lovely home, with great amenities. Nice location on a hill, with a view of town. It was magical at night, sitting in the hot tub with the twinkling of the city lights below.
Four friends in our 30s (and one infant) got together for a weekend retreat and catch up. Communication was top notch and the property is as described. Would definitely stay here again. Lovely secluded property, close to many great shops and coffee spots. I greatly appreciated when Tara refunded us a portion of the payment because the TV was not working. You'll be well taken care of and rejuvenated after a stay at this property.
Needed more space for Easter family gathering. I felt at home and everuthing was there for cooking and cleaning. Plenty spacious and all 7 sat at kitchen table. House could host BIG gathering easily if needed.
Visited many attractions on foot as Chip Falls is right there.
Thanks Kristas!
Our stay was great. Easy check-in and out, great communication from owner. Reading other reviews, yes It was tricky to get to but the owner provided clear directions on how to find it so it wasn't a problem. Internet is slower (50Mps) so if you're looking to work from there, beware that speed is limited. Otherwise, it was exactly as I expected and had everything we needed.
This East Hill gem was just perfect for a hometown visit! We loved the charm and love put into this old home! It is well maintained, and cleanliness is top notch! We had our bikes, and this location provides easy access to the bike trail.....whether heading toward Eau Claire and beyond, or north on the Old Abe Trail! The deck offered a great view of downtown Chippewa, and it is a short walk downtown for coffee! There is even a quaint cafe/coffee shop, with tasty sandwiches and treats, right at the Catholic Church just down the street! The owner is very responsive to questions. We hope we have the opportunity to stay again some day!
Very quiet area and very convenient. We could just walk into town and see the shops (and olsons ice cream). Also did tubing down the river from Loopys. The house is quirky but lovely. It’s older architecture which was fun to explore with my kids. Love all the little details. The hot tub was a big hit! The hot tub was a big hit! Had a couple minor questions along the way and the owners were very responsive. It was just what we needed for a safe getaway during this crazy time. It was nice to have a change of scenery.
What a spectacular home to spend the weekend with my sisters. Close to town. This house had such character, it took us 20 minutes just to go through the house and appreciate every detail of the structure and woodwork. The doors were a conversation in itself. Enjoyed the view from the hot tub. We were surprised there was no hand railing on the steep staircase to the upstairs. Would highly recommend this home. I am already looking for a reason to go back and share the experience of this home all over again.
Charming really describes this house. It has all the things I love about older homes - wood floors, doors, and casings. The decorations make you feel at home. And the house has everything you need. My teenage granddaughter gave it high marks. There is quite a bit to do in Chippewa Falls. Irvine park is beautiful. And we always need to go to Olson’s ice cream whenever we are anywhere near the area!
A group of friends and I gathered in this house to have a relaxing weekend getaway. The place was wonderful, beautiful old world charm with all the modern amenities. We reconnected over morning coffee on the deck in the treetops, relaxed in the hot tub, and had a late night chats around the fire pit. We had some good meals based on the host’s recommendations and had a great time wandering around town shopping at the antique mall and the boutiques. Absolutely loved it, thank you for a wonderful stay.
We enjoyed our two night stay! The house was clean and well stocked with soaps and paper towels. The deck was great to hang out and visit on. The hot tub was a nice touch to end the day. The home was in a great location for walking downtown as well. We plan to stay at the house again.

About the host
Hosted by Tara & Jason Krista
My husband Jason & have been raising our family in this home for 15 years and have lived in the home for nearly 20 years. We have 4 children ages 15-7 and they have rode up and down the alley where the home is located and nearby streets with their bicycles for years.
We love the history and character that an old home has to offer. We have renovated every part of the home over the years on our own. We recently built a new home, but have decided we cannot part with the home that has helped write on the slate of our family.
We love the charm that the City of Chippewa Falls has to offer and believe others would love to spend a weekend in our quaint home soaking up the small town atmosphere. We love to walk downtown and listen to music in the park on Sundays or grab a bite to eat at Max's.
Our photo was taken August 9, 2019, which was the day we left this home for our new home. It was a bitter sweet day.
We hope you enjoy your stay in our home.
Sincerely, Tara Krista
