Sunflower House on Lake Wissota

Get ready for your vacation to begin! New construction home by award winning builder located on the Yellow River with direct access to Lake Wissota! The bright open concept living room, kitchen and dining room will allow you to enjoy each other’s company as you prepare your meals. Relax in one of the four bedrooms. Linens are included for the queen beds and the 2 full bathrooms.

If the weather is chilly, gather around the fire pit and make s'mores. Firewood is included. Games, books and puzzles are provided for relaxation, and also enjoy the game/poker table. Two Smart TVs allow you to use your personal Netflix or Hulu account so you don’t miss an episode of your favorite shows!

Enjoy the morning sunrise from the porch or the dock, which is only a few steps from the house for easy access. Bring your boat, tie it to the dock and enjoy fishing and water sports all day long.

Take a boat ride to the nearby restaurants or grill your dinner while relaxing on the covered porch. If you’re a nature lover, take a hike through Lake Wissota State Park, enjoy Ray’s Beach, or pull up to an island and play on the sandy beaches! Just minutes from the shops, restaurants, breweries, and wineries in the area.

Beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful week staying at the Yellow cottage. The cottage was clean and the owners were easy to communicate. This was our 2nd time staying there. Was quiet and a nice spot to unwind. Would definitely stay again.

Great weekend get away

We stayed at the Sunflower house July 2023. We had a wonderful stay, the house was clean and the hosts answered all of our questions. Great fishing off the dock, we would definitely return!

Long Weekend Getaway

Really up to date and clean cottage. Liked the fact that there were 4 bedrooms, 2 up & 2 down, so that young children could go to bed earlier with no distractions.

family get away

Had a great time and was a comfortable house for adult family. Nice place to relax and play some cards. Lovely view of the lake, and we also enjoyed some local actives that got us outdoors and having fun. Would definitely recommend this home!

Great new house with boat rental. Was on a great spot on the river to access the lake. House is brand new and well stocked! Owner is very helpful! Loved our stay!

Annual Mother/Daughter Weekend

There were four of us and Sunflower totally fit the bill. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch as well as playing cards at the picnic table as the weather was beautiful the entire time. Very comfortable home with well appointed kitchen, including grilling utensils. Would most definitely stay here again.

Basketball Tourney

We had a girls bball tourney in Eau Claire. This was a little more expensive than a hotel. So much better and great to be on the lake. House very new and modern. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Wedding Weekend

We rented this property for our wedding party for a weekend and it was great! Sunflower house

This property was everything we needed. It was very clean and very well equipped. The orders were very nice and accommodating. There was firewood ready to have a campfire, the kitchen was well equipped. If I could say one thing that would make it perfect. Perfect! It would be the steps down to the lake. Could have a hand railing on them. Other than that, top notch.

Lovely home with pretty view of water

This home is even better than the pictures. The downstairs game room is open concept with the downstairs family room. Nice to have 2 separate family rooms. The main floor open concept kitchen/family room was great for all of us to gather in. The back porch with chairs was great for watching the boaters and wildlife. We didn't use the fire pit because it was very hot during our stay (in the 90s). The charcoal grill worked great; there was plenty of adirondack chairs, patio chairs and bag chairs for 12 people. Our only disappointment was the condition of the lake. Very algae filled; even at the state park beach. It was too yucky to swim, but okay for boating. Possibly all lakes are going to be this way from now on? Due to climate change maybe? Or too much pollution from too many gas powered boat motors?

Our annual college girls group enjoyed the house very much. Plenty of space without being too big. Kitchen was the perfect size to whip up a meal. Neighborhood was nice and quiet and the view of the lake beautiful. Very relaxing.

Super Sunflower House

Check in was smooth with the email code key. Kitchen was well stocked.(but bring a good skillet as the ones there were old teflon). Well built house! Bring your own shower soap/body wash. Laundry facilities available with fee payable online app. Owners were available for questions and help. We were an older group so hand bars in shower would be a help, and handrails on the entrance stairs would help- but easily accessible for most people. Located on the river that empties into the lake. Small dock was sturdy. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. TV is set up so you can use your accounts for programing so bring your username and password. House is close to Chippewa Falls, Yellowstone Cheese factory, Eau Claire, Lake Wissota State Park. Neighborhood is small and quiet, good for short walks, with access to much more walking territory. Small Weber grill available. This is a very nice place to stay!! Not super fancy but a house to feel comfortable in !! Thank you to the owners !!!
