Boat, Fish & Bike at The Lodge+Studio on Lake Wissota

A lovely waterfront home, on the Chippewa River, that can fit the whole family with a main house and attached garage turned into a private, fully furnished studio with full kitchen and gorgeous views. All located on a dead end road with views of the Chippewa River. Perfect location allows guests full access to Lake Wissota. Take your boat to the many eateries and sand bar beaches along the 60 miles of shoreline and then tie your boat on our dock at the end of the day. Fish off the dock, enjoy the patio outside or make a fire. 3 blocks away from bike or snowmobile trails. So many options.

Main house: this space has three bedrooms located in the lower level walk-out; two of the large bedrooms feature king beds and a third bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen on bottom and twin on top. The lower level walk-out family room has a fireplace, 2 pull out couch beds and a convenient patio door with easy access to the water and outdoor fire pit. The upstairs offers a large living room with an additional pull out couch bed. Full kitchen with large island and new appliances, plenty of space to do any cooking and gathering. Enjoy a cup of coffee or drink at the drink bar with a seating area that has views of the Chippewa River. On a rainy day, enjoy the 3 big screen TVs, 2 wood burning fireplaces and a cozy living room.

Studio: in addition to the main house, there is an attached studio apartment. This studio apartment offers a queen bed, pull out couch, full screen TV, full kitchen and bathroom. Come and enjoy some family time but also have your own space for a little more quiet and relaxation.
This house is the perfect weekend getaway, week long family vacation or an extended stay to work remote. Even bring the well behaved dog. So much to do for everyone whether you want to be active or enjoy a nice drink and relax. Discounts given for 7 plus days and deep discount for 28 plus day stays.

Note, this body of water is part of the historic Chippewa River, downstream of the Xcel Energy Jim Falls Dam, water levels fluctuate. Currents and water levels are unpredictable - use at your own risk.

Things to do:
Wissota State Park: Whether you want to go for a hike or relax on the sandy beach, Wissota State Park should be on your vacation to-do list. Only a 10 minute drive and it offers a large, family-friendly sandy swimming and picnic area, located on historic Lake Wissota, and is set in a beautiful northern wooded area for walking and hiking. Plenty to do for the whole family.

Old Abe Trail: If biking is your thing to do, you are only 3 blocks away (less than a 2 minute bike ride) from the Old Abe Trail. This trail offers 28 miles of beautiful (bike or snowmobile trail) riding along the river and landscapes of the Chippewa Valley. Old Abe Trail links up to over 70 miles of trails throughout the Chippewa Valley. You can spend your whole vacation on your bikes or snowmobiles and visit many of the quaint eateries and historic sites in the area.

Leinie Lodge: Located less than 20 minutes away is the historic Leinie Lodge. Leinenkugel brewery was founded in 1867 and has been a huge part of history for Chippewa Falls. Go enjoy a refreshing beer out on their patio or take a tour and learn about the history of Leinenkugel. Also, make sure to check out their website for any events they have going on throughout the year.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Toss any used towels on the floor of the bathrooms. WET or DAMP laundry and towels should be hung over the laundry bin, washer, or shower.
Strip used beds and pillows and leave the sheets on the bedroom floor. Load and start the dishwasher (pods are under the sink). Clean any remaining dirty dishes.
Clean the grill if it was used. Close and lock all windows and doors. Turn Thermostat to 82 degrees in the summer and 55 degrees in the winter.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No parties allowed. This location is suitable for a large family gathering but is not allowed for a party that exceeds the number of registered guests
Please put garbage and recycling at the end of the driveway, at the end of your stay or early Wednesday morning. Garbage day is Wednesday morning.
Pets: DOGS ONLY – Must be approved by host. Unapproved dogs incur $500 fee. Dogs must be housebroken and not left alone. Extras fees may apply.

We just love the solitude of this property. The quiet neighbors are super nice. This place has it all. Keep your boat at the dock and ready for when the fish are biting, and/or bring your bikes to explore the miles and miles of trails dedicated to your hiking/biking/snowmobiling fun through Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Located in the quaint town of Jim Falls, WI only 18 minutes from Leinies Lodge in Chippewa Falls.
