Place was great. The whole complex should make the BBQs work when the power is off because that is precisely when people need the BBQs as a backup for cooking food.

Our condo was very nice. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and such to cook meals. They even provided beach towels. Very clean and comfortable.

Nice condo with a good location

Overall the condo unit was good and the location near the ocean was great. The pool and hot tub were nicely kept up.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience was really awesome. Everything was clean and ready to go. The hot tub and pool was an added bonus. I really liked the location of the condo with the deck surrounded by lush greenery and the parking lot behind because it was easy to go in and out quick and access our car. The sound of the fountain in the bedroom was really nice and didn't bug me, but If your a light sleeper this may matter. There is also some good beaches walking distance from the condo to watch sunset. The concerirge service offered lots of assistance if we needed it, but we are more do it yourself kinda of ppl. But I imagine some people would really like that added touch.

Dissapointing

The location of this property was nice and it was walking distance from the beach. When we arrived the unit appeared to be clean, but it was not. There was only enough towels for two people, instead of four. Our bed linens had not been washed and we discovered hair on our sheets. The rollaway sofabed was not in the best condition and the linens were also dirty. We ended up having to throw all the linen in the washing machine. The next morning I sent an email informing management of the dirty linens and they offered to send someone over with fresh linen. I declined because my husband had already washed them. Later in the day they dropped off additional towels. If one pays a hefty cleaning fee upfront there is an expectation of having a clean apartment. Obviously, the cleaning crew did not sweep floors or change linens in this unit. This was essentially stealing from the employer and myself. I would not reserve this place again. We will pay double and stay at a nice resort.

Communication with the host & Sunny Maui Vacations was horrible. I tried calling & texting but the response time was unacceptable. By the time I did get a response, it was too late. Got no information about the flooding in Kihei & was not able to get to the resort. After reaching Kihei, it took over an hour to get the resort. During that time tried getting a hold of the host & Sunny Maui with no response.I was told by the property manager on site that it is Hawaii state law that text messages/email should be sent to the guests 1-2 times a day which I never received.Spoke with the property manager on site the next day and he said he tried getting into contact with the host & Sunny Maui but did not get a response until several hours later.I did get 1 response the next day but the information provided was for the previous day which did not do us any good & was useless. Further more, got no required text info/update for the rest of our stay.

The weather event during that time was highly unusual and created rapidly changing conditions across South Maui, including road closures, flooding, and access limitations into Kihei. Many areas became temporarily inaccessible, which understandably caused delays and frustration for those traveling. During this period, our team was managing a significant volume of incoming calls and messages from guests across our portfolio, while also coordinating with on-site personnel and monitoring official updates. While we remained actively engaged throughout, response times were at times longer than our usual standards, and we sincerely apologize for that experience. One of our colleagues provided directions upon your arrival to assist with access, and our team followed up the day after your arrival to check in and see how we could support you further. We regret that this did not feel timely or helpful in the moment. There is no state requirement mandating a specific number of daily messages to guests. That said, consistent and thoughtful communication remains very important to us, and we are sorry this did not meet your expectations. Your feedback regarding communication and timing has been taken to heart, and we are reviewing our approach during emergency situations to ensure updates are as timely and useful as possible moving forward.
