Edinburgh Palace Apartment - Ground floor apartment near the Royal Mile

This CENTRAL exceptionally clean GROUND FLOOR modern apartment (non smoking) with one bedroom (king-size bed with Sealy mattress), living room, separate kitchen and bathroom has every conceivable comfort and convenience for your stay. You will find a free welcome pack on your arrival to get you started. We have a selection of maps, guides, books and DVDs for your use and Wi-Fi (with a strong reliable signal) is also available free of charge together with IPOD docking and CD player. Of course all heating, bed linen, towels and cleaning etc are also included in the price quoted. (No further charges)
We provide everything you will need so there's no need to go shopping for the basics like, soap, kitchen roll, etc.
We have decided to let out our apartment to a maximum of 2 guests to ensure the best possible experience. We have therefore been able to provide a comfortable quality sofa in the living room as a sofa bed is not required. We have furnished the apartment carefully, choosing stylish quality furnishings for an enjoyable stay for our guests. The apartment is heated throughout and is lovely and warm.

Access
As the apartment is on the ground floor there are no accessibility problems for the infirm. We also provide a 'meet and greet' service at no extra charge to ensure you have gained access to the apartment and to answer any questions you may have.

All the main tourist attractions are within walking distance and Edinburgh has a fantastic regular bus service if you want to go further.

Arrival
If you are flying to Edinburgh airport, you can take a taxi for £25 to £30 to the apartment. If coming by train, the Edinburgh Waverley train station is just 1 mile away.

Check in/check out times
The general check in time is 3pm but we are quite flexible so just ask if you want to arrive earlier and we can try to arrange that.
Check out time is normally 11am but again if you need to stay a bit longer we can sometimes accommodate this. Please just ask us and we will try to help.

Edinburgh's official City Sightseeing Tour Bus has 11 stops and takes in Edinburgh's fantastic tourist attractions. The bus stop at Abbeyhill beside the Palace is just a few minutes walk from the apartment. You can start and finish your journey at any of the 11 stops and use your ticket for 24 hours. The buses are regular and you can hop on and off as often as you wish.

Great place to stay

Excellent location and free parking

Neat,well equipped basic apartment. Perfect quiet location with excellent parking facility. Walking distance to all the attractions. Lynn was there to welcome us and had provided a welcome pack which was very handy as we arrived quiet late in the evening. Thank you for making our stay comfortable.

Ideal location

This apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped, extremely warm and ideally placed for Edinburgh city centre. Especially good if you're driving from England as it's not far from the motorway (you don't have to drive through Edinburgh) and there's free parking right outside the apartment. Lynn, the owner, met us at the agreed time and contacted once during our stay to make sure everything was OK. We would definitely stay here again.

Royal Mile apartment

We found the apartment to be very convient to attractions, the Royal Mile, transportation, and shopping. Lynn was there to greet us and help with any questions we had. We found the apartment well supplied and would definetly return to this property when we travel to Edinburgh again.

Location, Location, Location

Very nice apartment. Short walk to major transportation & the start of the Royal Mile. Very close to Holyrood Palace and park and to Arthur's seat if you feel up to the climb. Hop on Hop Off Bus stops right near by. The Apartment is furnished comfortably and the little welcome package of tea, coffee and cookies were very much appreciated. Grocery store near by and you can take the bus direct to the airport for 1.5pounds from right around the corner. Great place to stay for any extended visit to Edinburgh. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this apartment to friends.

The number 35 bus from the airport comes right down to within a few minutes walk from the apartment for only £1.50 which is fantastic value for money. The hop on/off tour bus also stops here. WOW This is a great apartment in a lovely area

Lynn and Paul were lovely , Met on arrival and communication throughout was spot on. The apartment is well within walking distance to everything , the parking permit and space was a real bonus. The description was 100% and the owners leave you everything . Its so clean and well maintained with guide books and a personal folder with hints and tips . LOVED EDINBURGH such a friendly city. We went for my boyfriends 30th birthday 3 nights of fun and romance and we had just that it was perfect .....we would liked to have stayed longer. My only negative part is we had to leave ! THANK YOU Lynn and Paul We would recommend to anyone wanting the perfect place , who like to walk around 30 min ( slow stroll) to the main attractions

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this accommodation and the wonderful City of Edinburgh. Accommodation was as advertised, good communication with owners. Once you get your bearings everything is within walking distance, especially Hollyrood Park, Arthur's Seat, Calton Hill, just to name a few. We walked miles! We would stay here again.

City Haven

This apartment was very clean, well equipped, warm and beautifully located. There was free parking on site which was a bonus as we walked most days. The location is 5mins from Holyrood Palace and the start of the Royal Mile. We could easily access all the sights and sounds of the Old City. It was also easy to walk to the New Town and Princes Street. The apartment was within easy walking distance of Sainsbury's and the best coffee in Edinburgh at Century General Store in Montrose Terrace. The Property owner warmly welcomed us and was great to deal with and very prompt in answering emails.

Supernah an der Royal Mile

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral, die Royal Mile ist in 10 Gehminuten sehr einfach erreichbar. Die Wohnung war grösser als sie auf den Fotos schien. Der Wohnung sieht man allerdings an, dass sie sehr viel vermietet wird. Der Kühlschrank war leider nicht sauber. Lynn hat uns freundlich begrüsst und uns kurz alles erklärt. Der vorherige E-Mail-Kontakt war problemlos.

Location is everything

The Location of the apartment is ideal for anybody who wishes to explore the City. Only 10 minutes walk to Holyroodhouse Palace and the Royal Mile, a taxi takes you up to the castle for just 5 GBP in roughly 15 minutes and the green Edinburgh Tourbus stops five minutes away. The apartment is also ideal if you arrive by car , due to the free on site parking. The ground floor makes it easily accessable. The welcome pack is a nice little extra.

Weekend break in Edinburgh

Five minute walk from Holyrood Palace, easy access to Arthur's Seat, this apartment was great. Far enough away to be quiet in the evening but near enough for a short walk into the Old Town of Edinburgh. Apartment was spotless and very comfortable after a heard day's walking round the sights of Edinburgh. Buses ,if required, just up the road. Minicab fare to Waverly Station £4.60. Ideal for a stay in "Auld Reekie".

We loved our stay!

Wir haben hier eine traumhafte und magische Woche verbracht inklusive Hogmanay. Die Wohnung von Lynn und Paul ist genial gelegen. Nur um die Ecke befindet sich Holyrood Palace und die Royal Mile beginnt dort. Man kann bequem alles zu Fuß erkunden und sogar den Berg Arthurs Seat erklimmen. Das Appartment war zweckmäßg eingerichtet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. An alles ist gedacht. Das Bett ist mega bequem und gemütlich. Lynn und Paul waren jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir werden diese Woche nie vergessen!

Clean, beautiful and well positioned flat

The flat was clean, cosy and funished with everything you can need. Altough it is settled on the ground floor, it is warm (and the owner also gave us an extra heater if it wasn't enough). Very near the city centre so we were able to reach the royal mile on foot. Just round the Holyrood house and a very nice park. The owners are very kind and nice.

Wonderful location with wonderful owners!

The Palace Apartment by Lynn and Paul was perfect for our week long visit to Edinburgh. They gave us transportation schedule help, places to go and provided immediate necessities in the way of coffee, milk, cereal, etc in the apartment when we arrived. Lynn checked up on us via email to see if all was well and we were enjoying ourselves - WE WERE! The apartment was immaculate, VERY QUIET and well furnished with everything we needed. We strongly recommend the Palace Apartment for a great visit in Edinburgh!!!

Excellent apartment

Ideally located for a visit to Edinburgh, just behind Holyrood and a few minutes walk to the Royal Mile. The flat is well equipped and the owner was there to meet us at our agreed time. Free car parking, 2 minute drive to large supermarket and the complex is really quiet. Would have no hesitation in recommending this place.

Don't miss this one...

Free parking is just one of the many benefits this apartment has to offer. The modern furnishings and level of comfort would be hard to beat. Lynn (the owner) goes the extra mile to ensure her guests have everything they might need to make their holiday one to remember. Situated in one of the most convenient areas of Edinburgh, makes it so easy to see everything the Capital has to offer - either on foot or by the local bus which is a short walk away. We just love it, and hope to return for a 3rd time next year!

Great Location & a Lovely Apartment

I would definitely recommend this property. The location meant it was easy to walk into the city centre and yet it was a very quiet area. Free parking on site meant coming by car was easy (though we didn't need to use the car during our stay). The apartment itself was clean, tidy & well equipped. Plenty of useful tourist leaflets and guidebooks were there to use. Welcome pack was very helpful so we could have a coffee and sort ourselves out without having to dash to the shops. Lynn has been friendly & helpful at each stage from initial booking onwards.

Superb apartment in a super location

The apartment was well furnished. It is in a super location with walkable access to holyrood palace, arthur's seat and the castle. There was free parking. Lynn made sleeping arrangements for our 3 year old daughter which was exactly what we needed.

Ideal for a couple.

Ideal location for a couple wanting somewhere close to the city centre but with off street parking. The flat was in a safe area and just a 20 minute walk from the main central attractions. It was also a short walk from Holyrood Palace, the starting point for the climb of Arthur's Seat (recommended on a clear day) and the Scottish Parliament. A Sainsbury's supermarket was also close by. The only minor criticism was the size of the dining table which was a bit small to eat off. Otherwise everything worked perfectly and we had an enjoyable stay. Lynn met us on time and showed us the basics and there were plenty of maps and guides in the flat. We would recommend this flat to others.

Bright, spacious and ideally located!

My boyfriend and I spent five days in this apartment during our stay in Edinburgh. It brought our holiday from brilliant to fantastic! It's spacious, well equipped and less than ten minutes from the city center. Ideal home away from home! Lynn was extremely friendly, helpful and easy to contact! I couldn't recommend this apartment enough for anyone looking for accommodation in the city!

Clean, comfortable, a real 'home from home'.

The apartment was perfect for our needs. Cosy, modern and very well maintained. Lynn met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. We settled in with nice cup of tea, everything was supplied on a welcome tray which was great. We walked into town every day, a pleasant 10 minute walk takes you to The Royal Mile so location wise the apartment is perfect for seeing all the sights. When we arrived home each night the apartment was lovely and warm and we slept well as the bed was really comfortable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh, we will definitely be back.

Free parking!

An amazing location near the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace. Also handy for Holyrood Park, we borrowed the binoculars from the apartment and climbed up Arthur's Seat. What a view from the top, not to be missed! The apartment was very clean and supplied us with everything we needed, even spare bedding and towels which we didn't need in the end. The parking is great and being free is a huge saving in Edinburgh. All in all, a very comfortable and convenient stay.

I have lived in Edinburgh all my life so know the city well. I have chosen the Holyrood area to purchase an apartment to let out as I know it's a great location to see the best of what Edinburgh has to offer a tourist. My family and I have been on many holidays ourselves so know what we appreciate and need in our holiday accommodation. We have therefore provided everything we would like ourselves when away from home. I hope you will consider booking with us and look forward to meeting you.

What makes this property unique

This apartment is new, modern, bright and fresh. It is in a quiet location away from the main road but just a short walk to the Royal Mile. Now with a UK king-size bed and Sealy mattress.
