Among the protected assets you can find the Cathedral of Noto, the most important catholic place of worship in the city. Also in the centre, Palazzo Ducezio is not to be missed, a true gem of baroque architecture which houses the famous Sala degli Specchi (“Hall of Mirrors”). Toward the coast stands the natural oasis of Calamosche Beach, declared in 2005 as “the most beautiful beach in Italy” for its crystal clear waters.
The airport of Catania Fontanarossa is about 90 kms far away, while Comiso “Pio La Torre” airport is 80 kms far.

We recently stayed at this property and were disappointed with the overall experience. The pool is nice, the covered outdoor dining area was shaded and private, the location is convenient to town. The biggest issue is the sleeping accommodations. The mattresses were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on, and that includes staying at hostels during extended travels throughout Central and S America in our younger days. It was like sleeping on paper-mache on top of creaky, old springs. The pillows were stale and flattened. The bedrooms have very low sloped ceilings, making large portions difficult for adults to stand in. The downstairs shower is very small and only provided scalding hot or cold water. The main couch was dated, uncomfortable, and had a noticeable odor. A footrest is a cardboard box with a covering on top. Don't try to sit on it. In Sicily trash collection is daily, but our trash was never picked up, despite multiple notifications to management. Garbage piled up, bags tore easily, animals got into the trash, and we had to clean up debris from the street and transport the garbage to the dump ourselves. At checkout, we were criticized about the trash situation despite repeatedly informing management throughout our stay. The property has potential, but the lack of basic management (trash, communication, beds and linens) really dragged things down. We won’t be back, but if you go, bring your own trash bags, a good pillow and maybe a helmet.

Thank you for the review. We are glad you liked the pool and the outdoor dining area layout. We take note of your comments regarding the mattress comfort, the sloped bedroom ceilings, the shower water temperature, and the municipal trash collection difficulties. Our team has inspected the plumbing settings and verified the local recycling calendar guidelines to optimize waste coordination. The Wonderful Italy Team
