The property was perfect for a weekend getaway at the lake. Plenty of beds, nice kitchen, and master bathroom was quite large. The boat dock & kayaks were also a huge hit with the kids.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay. Scott is easy to communicate with.The location is great with easy access to the dock.Our grandkids had a blast discovering the multi-level townhouse.The kitchen is the most organized, well stocked kitchen we’ve ever seen and had literally everything you would need.We had a great time and would stay here again.

We had a large party, all adults. Everyone slept great. The kitchen was super well equipped and great for a large crowd. The back porch was expansive and caught the breezes perfectly. We would definitely rent this property at our next visit to Point Venture. Scott was amazing and available, great communicator!

The house accommodated our group excellently. I had several questions that were answered quickly and thoroughly by the owners. We were able to bring our dog and use the community’s pool since the lake closed the day after we arrived. Even without lake access the stay was amazing.

Oh my goodness! This property was awesome! The set up was perfect for our family. We let “the teens” have the bottom floor and we took the other floors. We never heard them!!!!! The kitchen was amazing; has everything you need and plenty of it! The furniture was comfortable and the view was very enjoyable, both day and night. I can’t say enough about our stay! I’m ready to go back!

What a great time! House was perfect. The lake was wonderful. We enjoyed the kayaks that were there for use. We had a ping pong tournament. Fed the deer in the area. Walked to the restaurant on the lake. Neighborhood was perfect. We all had the best time and would love to stay here again!

Lake house for the eclipse

Wonderful visit for eclipse. House was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Host did an excellent job with communication. Only downside was how steep it is to get to the lake - but that is everywhere along Lake Travis. Overall, great experience.

Hi Dava, I'm glad you had a nice visit to view the eclipse. Yes, we currently have a lot of stairs from the house to the lake due to Lake Travis being down 50 feet. Hopefully we will get some substantial rain to raise the lake level.

Perfect

Perfect getaway for husband and I! The home was clean, comfortable & has everything you need! The lake was 45 feet below normal so the dock was quit a hike down! And it is pretty far from stores / restaurants but it was perfect for us because we wanted to isolate this weekend…the neighborhood does have a restaurant and store so you honestly don’t have to go anywhere if you choose to. We will definitely stay again.

Great home and neighborhood! Just be mindful it's a far drive to anywhere else

Home is beautiful and very accomdating. The dock was well maintained too and had a lot of outdoor furniture which was a plus. Only drawback was that the VRBO was almost 1 hr from most conveniences and nearby restaurants close quite early. Had the location been 'across the river' then it would have been a much, much shorter drive. Overall, a great stay and I would happily recommend!

We are located in Point Venture on the North shore of Lake Travis. People need to look at a map and evaluate what their stay is for. If you want to go to downtown Austin, it is a 45 minute drive (with no traffic). If you stay directly across the lake, it would be a 30 minute drive (with no traffic). However, on the South shore of the lake you will likely pay about double the rate to be directly on the lake with private boat dock access.. People need to evaluate if an extra 15 minute drive is worth paying close to half the rate per night. Please note, there is floating restaurant and bar - Captain Pete's Boathouse, which is a two minute walk away. Caddie Shack sports bar is also a short walk away and often features live music and a food truck on the weekends. Additionally, Cedar Park with many dining and shopping options is 25 minutes away.

Great place! We had a wonderful time. Kitchen was well-stocked and easy to work in. The bedroom layout was a little strange. Third floor bedroom had no bathroom and its AC exhausted heat into the dinette area. There was a bunk in the game room and a bunk in the dinette. Worked fine for us but not ideal if everyone doesn’t go to bed at the same time. More comfy chairs would be nice in the living room. We had 10 people and there was seating for only 7. Had to move bar stools in to play games/watch tv. We had fun. Water was beautiful but lake level was down. The hike back up to the house is pretty far. Overall it was great. We’d stay there again.
