The cottage is arranged all on one level, with a kitchen/diner with exposed wooden beams creating a cosy atmosphere. Tuck into delicious home-cooked meals, taking time between courses and sipping wine. The charming, cottage-style lounge features a focal wood burner for cosy evenings in – the perfect spot for curling up with a good book, before retiring to the comfortable king-size bedroom for a restful night’s sleep. The next day, take your morning coffee out on the garden bench and watch your dogs sniff around the beautiful garden. You might see kestrels, hares and woodpeckers. There’s a BBQ perfect for grilling up some locally sourced produce.


There are plenty of natural beauty spots around the cottage, including the River Lark, which is less than 500 metres away. If you’re looking for a place for a date night, try Ipswich (6 miles) or Woodbridge (3 miles). Woodbridge also has boat tours around the RSPB reserve, so you can try a little bird watching. Finish the holiday with a trip to Shingle Street (11.5 miles) to take an evening stroll on the beach.
