A mere 6 miles away lies the charming coastal town of St Bees, boasting a gently shelving surf beach perfect for leisurely walks or engaging in surfing and kite surfing activities. For those seeking a more forested adventure, Whinlatter Forest, located 19 miles away, beckons with its excellent bike tracks and the exhilarating Go Ape experience. Positioned just off the Coast to Coast walking route, the local area boasts an abundance of captivating walks, whether it's the 17-mile trek to Catbells or the closer 2-mile journey to Kinniside Stone Circle. On clear days, the panoramic views extend all the way to Scotland and the Isle of Man.


Nestled on a picturesque working farm, this holiday cottage exudes rustic charm and comfort. As you enter, the spacious lounge welcomes you with a cosy wood burner, feature beams, a classic fireplace, and a stone flag floor. Connected to the lounge is a delightful dining room with a wood burner-effect electric fire, a grandfather clock, and a spacious dining table to enjoy a family dinner or hearty breakfast. The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities and has a convenient breakfast bar. A utility room off the kitchen houses a washing machine which then leads on to a downstairs bathroom. Ascend the wide staircase, with a large picture window overlooking fields and livestock. The bedrooms offer character and relaxation – there is a small double with low ceilings and feature beams at the top of the landing, two more double rooms and a twin, all have charming farmyard or field views. The beautiful family bathroom completes this floor.


Step outside to the garden, to the rear of the property where a hot tub awaits so you can enjoy complete relaxation, stargaze or watch the wildlife and birds. There is seating in the garden so you can enjoy a morning coffee or a good book.
