Indulge in a truly splendid stay at this impressive group holiday home in the coastal village of Polruan in Cornwall. Sleeping 10 guests, the five-bedroom house nestles in gorgeous gardens and takes in views out over the estuary to Fowey. Chapel Mead has a unique offering of private steps that lead directly to a small beach at Boy’s Cove and is a 1.5-mile walk from the National Trust’s Lantic Cove, this is a magnificent place to enjoy as a base for exploring this beautiful corner of Cornwall or as somewhere to relax and spend quality time with family and friends.
Spread out and enjoy this enticing retreat which offers ample space inside and out. Prepare hearty feats in the capacious kitchen/diner, where you can open the doors right up on to the garden on summer days. Choose between two lounges, each with a TV and DVD player and one with a winter-warming wood burner. A family shower room and a twin bedroom are also at ground-floor level. There is also a downstairs utility room, with a table football. Four of the bedrooms are up on the first floor of the house. These include three king-sizes, one with an en-suite shower room and the other with an en-suite bathroom, with roll-top bath. There is also a family bathroom and a bunk bedroom, with a small double as the lower bunk up here. The gardens, with generous space for outside dining and children to play, make this a magical spring and summer retreat. You must make sure to explore the beach at low tide, it offers a private sandy beach and amazing views over to Fowey. There is parking here for four cars.
Catch the ferry over to fashionable Fowey to dine out and browse in the independent shops and galleries. Follow the South West Coast Path out from Polruan to Lantic Bay and Pencarrow Head.
