About this property
A 2-bedroom former Georgian pub in the centre of gorgeous and historic Rye.
A former Georgian public house in gorgeous and historic Rye. Set in Church square facing St Marys's Church the house in the very centre of medieval Rye.
The space
Set over 3 floors the property has flexible accommodation and can be used as 3 beds but it's set out as 2 with a sofa bed in the lounge. The bunk beds are small singles ideally for children 6 to 14. There is fast wifi and modern facilities in this charming old house and personally, I have loved every minute of staying there.
Guest access
The Station is an 8-minute walk and is just over an hour from King's Cross St Pancras (not including transfer time) , Camber Sands is 2.5 mile walk or 10 minute drive from the house and is according to Time Out magazine 'the best beach in the United Kingdom' high praise! As you might imagine, they weren't planning for the car in the 12th century so parking isn't included but you can unload at the house and park in the nearby long-stay car park (£2.90 a day at time of writing)
Other things to note
The house has no outdoor space but is opposite the Churchyard and the Gun Garden is a 1 minute's walk away. The house has very tall stairs and guests should consider that, we don't recommend very small children stay solely for that reason.
On weekends and holidays, the road is busy with tourists taking photos, (the road is very instagramable) but by the evening is very quiet again.
