Retire back to the lounge for nights in front of a film, or perhaps take advantage of your position within this International Dark Sky Reserve by curling up with a glass of wine and seeking out various constellations. Upstairs, rest and rejuvenate in one of four thoughtfully designed bedrooms, which are ideally served by the family bathroom.


Pack a picnic and your windbreakers and head down to the seaside village of Derrynane (3.5 miles) for hours well spent on the sweeping golden beach. The area also boasts an ancient abbey and a historic house with manicured gardens for those seeking to learn more about the region. Foodies are in good company at the seafront village of Waterville (6.5 miles), which is famously known for its locally caught and cooked seafood. Alternatively, play a round of golf at its world-class course.
