It is famous for its world ranked golf course, its trout and salmon angling and its golden sandy beaches. Waterville lies on a narrow strip of land between the Athlantic and Lough Currane. Waterville and its surrounding area offers a number of breathtaking walks and places to see. The most scenic of these walks is the Coomakista Pass.

Water ville Golf Links is ranked in the Worlds top 20 and Ireland top 5 Links courses. Links Land is a rarity and less than one percent of courses in both Ireland and the British Isles are championship Links. Water ville is one of these blessed places hence it regularly attracts the Worlds top golfers who test their mettle here. Golf at Water ville is a mystical experience - the beauty of classic links land, surrounded by the sea, yet forever changed and by the elements. At over 100 years old it is ranked as one of the top 5 courses in Ireland and the top 20 Links courses in the World. Links Golf combines sand dunes gorse and native grasses, firm fairways, sod faced bunkers and subtle putting surfaces all intertwined by the ever changing weather. Forget the lob wedge. Think bump and run creative shot making. Are you ready to are walk in the footsteps of the earliest golfers. http://www.watervillegolfclub.ie/
Hogs Head Golf Course
Overlooking the magistic Ballinskelligs Bay and set among natural megalithic stonework and indigenous Bog Deal, there can be few places more visually stunning locations for a golf course than Hogs Head.
Here the awesome beauty of the Bay hits you as you play through holes framed by over 8000 yards of ancient 'famine' walls.'Skellig Bay is full of challenging golf holes', says the the Sunday Independent Golf correspondent Dermot
