Enchanting 2-Bed Riverside Cottage with Parking

A beautiful Victorian riverside cottage, discreetly located at the end of a private lane in the heart of the Canterbury city, with secure gated parking for up to four cars. To the rear is a tranquil garden overlooking the River Stour.

The small cottage is perfect for a family group or friends travelling . There are two good size bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with a double bed. The family bathroom has a walk in shower PLUS a bath, and there`s also a downstairs WC.

The perfect secret hideout within the ancient city walls of Canterbury. This lovingly decorated cottage promises not to disappoint! After a day exploring the historic cathedral city of Canterbury, the surrounding towns, countryside or the coast all within a 20 to 30 minute drive away. Come back to a tranquil home. In the summer the garden is perfect! Imagine sitting on a Jasmine arched bench and watching punting boats and wildlife go by. There is a fireplace inside for those cold winter nights too!

Upon entering the cottage you are greeted by a light and bright porch area. This follows through to the right into the kitchen area with a small dining table and 4 chairs. To the left you will find the downstairs cloakroom.

The kitchen with its classic country cottage feel is equipped with all the modern amenities for those evenings when you want to cook an evening meal or mornings when you`d like to make breakfast.

To the back of the house is the warm and cosy living room with a few books, games and a tv to help you unwind. The living room opens into the back garden a perfect sun trap to for the long summer days!

On the first floor you will find 2 tastefully decorated bedrooms, and a spacious modern family bathroom with a seperate shower and a bath.

For families we provide a travel cot (please bring your own cot linen) and a high chair.

The entire home is solely for the use of our Guest.

There is parking down a gravel path which takes you to the property.

`Please note that Canterbury lanes are generally narrow. This property is accessed via a narrow pebbled lane that is very tight for larger vehicles. All cars should reverse down the lane as the parking area has a very limited turning space. Please consider this before booking.`

The city of Canterbury is one of the most popular places to visit when looking for a perfect stay away from home to be near the sea. It a famous world heritage site full of cobbled streets with top tourist attractions including the famous Canterbury Cathedral, the oldest Cathedral in England! The high street is full of lovely restaurants from fresh seafood to Michelin star. It is also perfect for shopping with lots of choice over all of the city centre from well known shops to independent businesses. There is stunning scenery from countryside to seaside walks as well as many family friendly activities including theatres, punting boats down the river, bowling and even wildlife farms, you will not be stuck for things to do. Should you ever want to leave there are easy train links into London from both Train stations with a high speed train from Canterbury west which will get you to London in just 55 minutes!

The property is walking in distance from the city centre, here you will find two train stations with main links into London. As well as a bus station with buses to take you to most surrounding areas.

There is parking alongside the house for up to 4 cars ( one in front of the other/stacking system). This is at the end of Greyfriars Lane, behind the wooden gate. ( see pictures I will send) . I highly recommend reversing down, coming in around the curved house side. It is slightly tight past neighbours wheelie bin

Thank you for your interest in our property, we would like to remind you that as per our House Rules, we observe a strict no party policy; Gatherings, parties or social events are prohibited in our home. Should such events occur (or be reported during your stay), please note that you would be liable for any damages to the property and you might be subject to loss of deposit and eviction regardless of the check-out date, the moment any such activities are reported.

NO SMOKING OR VAPING IN THE HOUSE

- Please safely discard used cigarettes in the bin once cool.
- Please put your general waste and recycling in the correct bins and please help keep the home tidy by ensuring the bins are put out on the requested day.
- Please note unless agreed ahead of time, no pets are allowed at the property.
- Please leave the house as you would like to find it and ensure all dishes are washed and put away.
- Please turn the heating down on departure.
- Please inform us of any broken glasses etc when they happen so that replacements will be arranged for the next guests.
