The Space:

Stables Cottage consists of a kitchen/diner equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and dining seating for four guests and a sitting room with TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor double and a twin, serviced by a ground-floor bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed front garden with lawn and parking is available. Shared outbuilding with communal facilities including a payphone, external shower rooms, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board, books, games, DVDs, and tourist information. Within 5.2 miles you will find a shop and within 0.7 miles, a pub and sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. A travel cot is also available on request. Stables Cottage is a charming base for your next getaway to Herefordshire. Free fishing is available at Pearl Lake for anyone staying in our lodges. Rules and passes to be collected from reception. We also have an onsite restaurant, bar, putting green, BMX trails, outdoor chess, zip wire, adventure play and golf for you to enjoy during your stay. Note: The stairs up to the twin bedroom are very steep, please take care. Note: A Z-bed is available on request and can sleep up to one additional guest. Note: Though pets should be kept on leads, there are off-lead areas within the park and lovely walks around the area. Note: The park will be closed during Jan & Feb and the site will have some maintenance ongoing during this time as well as staff training. Note: Bookings made for parties of workers can only be accepted with the prior consent of the Owner. Note: The site is closed so there will be no access to the bar/bistro, fishing areas, golf course as they are not open.



The Neighborhood:

The pleasant village of Shobdon lies between the historic market towns of Leominster and Presteigne, and is surrounded by beautiful Herefordshire countryside, close to the Welsh borderlands. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Shobdon has a village shop, an excellent pub/restaurant, and even a private airfield, providing a rare opportunity to learn how to fly helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Leominster, dating back to the 7th century possesses some fine examples of architecture including the Priory Church, along with a wide selection of shops, cafes, antiques centres and pubs - an ideal place to spend an afternoon. Close by are many National Trust properties including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall, plus the Judge's Lodgings in Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the renowned Shropshire Discovery Centre and the Acton Scott Historic Farm. Sample Herefordshire's cider or discover Hereford with its fascinating Mappa Mundi world map and the captivating chained library, home to a collection of rare and ancient books. The pretty medieval market town of Ludlow is also close by and makes a great day out, with more than 500 listed buildings and a magnificent castle.
