Lovely place to stay, just needed Wi-fi
Wonderful place to stay. Though your sharing the pool/gym with others it wasn’t busy and didn’t have a ‘butlins’ feel. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was lots of extras if you needed them like blankets and a heater.
The accommodation is spacious enough for a standard wheelchair, though there are steps to get from the car park. There are a few dvds and games in the cupboard for guests as well as table tennis for the table by the pool. The only let down was the welcome booklet was hidden behind the DVD player and we didn’t have the code for the door to the pool/gym for the first day, but the owner was great at getting back to us through email. Luckily BT mobile network was good the whole week but Wi-fi would’ve have been so much better, I believe it’s the only cottage on the colmer estate that doesn’t have Wi-fi. The estate is different in that there is no onsite office or manager. Each cottage is left to manage themselves, with groundskeepers coming during the week to complete their individual tasks. There is a well stocked garage a 5 minutes walk up the road and a fish and chip van visits the adjacent campsite on Wednesdays. The feel of the place is well mannered and quiet, but wi H plenty to do that you can just relax hanging out at the cottage. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay and we plan to return booking several cottages for extended family.
