Family Home with Garden Room & Woodland Views

Summary:

Cosy 3-bedroom home in peaceful Kennington, just minutes from Oxford city centre. Enjoy a bright living space, fully equipped kitchen, and private garden with a garden room offering stunning woodland views. With direct access to Bagley Wood, it’s perfect for relaxing stays, whether visiting for work or leisure.

The Space:

Welcome to our newly refurbished property in Kennington.

Located on the outskirts of Kennington, our property on Bagley Close makes the perfect base for visiting historic Oxford and the surrounding area, whether you’re here for business or leisure.

Set in a peaceful residential location, this property has stunning views out over woodland from the all year round garden room located at the rear of the house. The ancient forest of Bagley wood, which can be accessed through a gate at the end of the garden, is one of the largest woods around Oxford and is known for its wildlife, wildflowers, and beautiful trees. Take your time winding through the trees on the numerous public footpaths, keeping an eye out for wildlife on the way.

Inside, you’ll find two spacious double bedrooms and a cosy single room, giving you flexible sleeping options for a restful stay. The modern bathroom features both a bath and shower, and there’s a separate toilet to make mornings that little bit easier for everyone.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at your leisure, along with a washing machine - ideal for longer stays. After a day of exploring, the welcoming living area provides a comfortable spot to unwind and recharge.

The River Thames is a 10 minute walk away accessed by a public footpath next to the Tandem pub. The footpath leads into Oxford city centre which is about a 45 minute walk featuring beautiful riverside views and meadows. The other direction leads to Abingdon and passes the historic riverside Kings Arms pub in Sandford which dates back to 1650 and serves traditional food and drinks. Further South down the riverside path leads to the charming riverside market town of Abingdon, which is the oldest continuously inhabited town in England, with evidence of habitation for over 6000 years !

The village shop, pub, post office, hairdressers, pharmacy and “chippy” (fish & chip shop) are just a 5 minute walk from where you’ll be staying, and the bus stop to take you into the centre of Oxford is a 5 minute walk away with the number 35 bus arriving every 20 minutes .

Once you're in Oxford, the city centre is compact and easy to explore on foot. Whether you’re interested in visiting the museums, the world-famous Colleges, taking a walk through the stunning Botanic Gardens, or exploring the covered market packed with unique shops, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Whilst staying in our property, you’ll be perfectly placed to enjoy all that this wonderful city has to offer, and you’ll also have a great base for exploring further afield should you wish.
