Hi there! Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We’re absolutely delighted to hear you found the property stunning and finished to such a high standard — it’s always especially rewarding to hear this from our very first guests following a renovation. We’re so pleased you found everything you needed for your stay and that the bed stood out as one of the comfiest you’ve ever slept in — that’s exactly what we love to hear. Thank you as well for your understanding regarding the small teething issues. As you say, with a newly renovated property these can occasionally arise, and we really appreciate your patience while they were identified. It’s wonderful to hear you’ll be looking to book again — we’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back for another stay. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Beautiful...

We stayed for a week at the end of May. One of the first people to stay since its refurbishment & I must say that it is beautiful - finished to a very high standard. There were all the amenities, utensils and little extra touches that you could need. Particularly liked the drying porch (although in 30C heat it was only used for drying off our towels!). The extra dog blankets and raised bowls were also great. The beds have got to be some of the comfiest I've slept in. The private parking was a great bonus too. The location is great, close to the park and easy walk into centre of Keswick. My only very minor issue was that the TV was difficult to work & would benefit from some additional instructions (but now I'm being very nitpicky!). We wouldn't hesitate to book again for our next visit to the area.

Hi there! Thank you so much for such a fantastic and detailed review — we’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay, especially as one of the first guests following the refurbishment. It’s wonderful to know the property made such a strong impression and that the high standard of finish and thoughtful touches really stood out. We’re so pleased you found everything well equipped, from the kitchen and amenities to the extra dog-friendly features like the blankets and raised bowls — it’s great to hear these made a difference. The drying porch sounds like it had an easier time of things in that kind of weather! It’s especially lovely to hear your comments about the beds — being some of the comfiest you’ve slept in is exactly what we love to hear. And we’re glad the private parking and location, close to the park and within easy walking distance of Keswick, worked so well for you too. Thank you also for your helpful note about the TV. Not nitpicky at all — we completely understand how frustrating that can be, and we’ll look at improving the instructions to make things clearer for future guests. We’re thrilled to hear you wouldn’t hesitate to book again — we’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back on your next visit. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

A modern well equipped cottage in an excellent location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wordsworth Cottage. It had been recently refurbished throughout with good quality fixtures and fittings and tasteful decoration in every room. The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil that we could possibly need and the bed was extremely comfortable. One of the main assets was the private parking space at the back of the property. We parked the car for the week and went around on the bus to save on hunting for parking spaces and paying for car parks. The bus stops are not far from the property and the services were good. The cottage is located about 10 minutes walk from the town centre where we found lots of shops, restaurants and supermarkets for everything we could possible need. Just to mention a couple of things which aren’t really complaints, just things that may help future guests. It took us a while to figure out how to lock the doors from the inside as we were not familiar with that type of device. Some simple instructions would have helped. Also we were not able to access any main stream TV channels live or any freeview channels. We could only find internet channels such as Iplayer, ITVX etc. If these are available some instructions would be useful. Fortunately we are not football fans or we would have been disappointed at missing the World Cup matches live.

EDIT: For all future guests, the television has now been upgraded and receives live/satellite channels! Your feedback is important to us, and we and the owners will always act on it where we can. Thank you again for your review, and we encourage all future guests to get in touch if they have any questions, no matter how small. Hi there! Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We’re delighted to hear you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at Wordsworth Cottage and appreciated the recent refurbishment, quality furnishings, and thoughtful décor throughout the property. It’s fantastic to know the kitchen had everything you needed and that the bed was so comfortable. We’re also pleased the private parking space proved such a bonus, allowing you to leave the car behind and make the most of the excellent local bus services — a great way to explore the Lake District without worrying about parking. It sounds like the location worked perfectly for you too, with Keswick’s shops, restaurants, and amenities all within easy walking distance. Thank you as well for your helpful observations. We appreciate your comments regarding the door locks and TV. The TV does provide access to live television channels as well as the streaming services, but we understand that unfamiliar systems can sometimes be difficult to navigate. We’ll review the information provided in the property to see whether additional guidance on both the locking mechanism and television would be helpful for future guests. We’re delighted these were only minor points and that they didn’t detract from what was otherwise an excellent stay. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. We’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back to Wordsworth Cottage in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages
