The Farmhouse at Nunwell

NEW FOR MAY 2026

The Island Holiday Company is delighted to present to you, The Farmhouse at Nunwell – A Historic Luxury Farmhouse Estate Surrounded by Ancient Parkland

Escape to one of the Isle of Wight’s most unique countryside retreats — a beautifully restored historic farmhouse nestled within the breath-taking grounds of the ancient Nunwell Estate. An historic family estate, where the Oglander family have resided since 1120.

Surrounded by rolling parkland, ancient veteran oak trees, and unspoilt countryside, Nunwell offers an unforgettable luxury self-catering stay where heritage, nature, and refined comfort come together effortlessly.

Lovingly restored between 2023–2026, this exceptional farmhouse was originally built around 1812 — blends original character features with sophisticated modern living. Inside, guests will discover flagstone floors, exposed wooden beams, limestone walls, bespoke handcrafted interiors, and elegant entertaining spaces designed for memorable gatherings with family and friends.

Whether you’re planning a large family holiday on the Isle of Wight, a countryside group getaway, a special celebration, or a peaceful rural escape, The Farmhouse offers a truly atmospheric setting unlike anywhere else on the island.

From cosy evenings beside the double-sided fireplace to slow mornings overlooking ancient farmland, every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a warm, luxurious, and deeply relaxing experience.

Guests can enjoy access to surrounding farmland and parkland, including a shared field with tree swings, whilst also benefiting from the unique on-site offerings of the Nunwell Estate, including the seasonal farm-to-fork restaurant “Braai” and Nunwell Farm Kitchen, the estate’s artisan butchers showcasing ethically sourced local produce.

PLEASE NOTE BRAAI IS A POP UP RESTAURANT WITH MAIN OPENING FOR JULY AND AUGUST, WITH SOME ADDITIONAL WEEKENDS. PLEASE CHECK WEBSITE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION

Located within easy reach of the Isle of Wight’s beaches, coastal walks, market towns, and countryside attractions, The Farmhouse at Nunwell combines rural tranquillity with excellent island accessibility.
