Group Cottage in Sourbrodt

The High Fens has a quieter rhythm than most parts of the Ardennes, and this large countryside cottage near Sourbrodt makes the most of it. Sleeping up to 24 guests across 12 bedrooms, the property combines wellness spaces, outdoor living, and direct access to some of Belgium’s best hiking landscapes with enough room for larger groups to settle in comfortably for several days at a time.

Most afternoons naturally drift between the private garden, barbecue, and nearby walking trails before evenings move indoors toward the sauna, Turkish steam bath, and pool table once temperatures begin dropping outside. The atmosphere feels relaxed and sociable rather than formal, making it especially well suited for family gatherings, retreats, and countryside celebrations. The meeting room also works well for seminars or team stays without making the property feel corporate.

High Fens-Eifel Nature Park can be reached within roughly 6 minutes and is known for elevated wooden boardwalks crossing peat bogs, pine forests, and open moorland landscapes. Nature Centre Botrange lies nearby beside Signal de Botrange, Belgium’s highest point, while Reinhardstein Castle can be reached within approximately 11 minutes overlooking the Warche gorge. Lake Robertville sits around 6 minutes away for kayaking, swimming, and lakeside walks during warmer months, while Railbike des Hautes Fagnes offers one of the region’s more unusual outdoor activities roughly 10 minutes from the cottage.
