About this property

Lakeside Lodge – Private Dock, Hot Tub, Fire Pit & 8 Kayaks

Gather with family and friends at Lakeside Lodge, a spacious lakefront retreat on Norris Lake. With room for up to 20 guests, this peaceful cabin features a private dock, hot tub, fire pit, and eight kayaks for exploring the calm, no-wake cove. Less than half a mile from Flat Hollow Marina, it’s the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and laid-back lake living.

Relax and unwind at Lakeside Lodge, a 6-bedroom, 4-bath lakefront retreat designed for families and groups. With space for up to 20 guests, this spacious home sits in a peaceful, low-traffic no-wake cove where the water stays calm and quiet, perfect for swimming, kayaking, and floating the day away.

Less than half a mile from Flat Hollow Marina and about 12 miles from the Tackett Creek ATV trail system, Lakeside Lodge offers the best of both worlds: easy water access and nearby land adventures. Across the cove lies Overlook Bay and more than 10,000 acres of TVA land, and just around the bend is the Chuck Swan Wildlife Preserve, where deer, wild turkey, foxes, and bald eagles are often spotted.

Down the stairs is your private dock, complete with a covered boat slip, swim platform with ladder access, and two jet-ski ports. Eight kayaks are available for guests to explore the peaceful cove, and when the day winds down, there’s no better place to be than in the hot tub, around the fire pit, or gathered at the granite fire table on the lower deck. Three full-width decks offer a mix of sun and shade so everyone can relax their way.

Inside, the main level features 23-foot ceilings, a cozy gas fireplace, Smart TV, and a kitchen equipped for group meals. You’ll find a full-size refrigerator on the main level, a second refrigerator and high-capacity ice machine on the lower level, and a large dining table for ten with extra seating just outside on the upper deck overlooking the water.

Sleeping arrangements are ideal for families and friends: a king suite on the main floor, two queen bedrooms (one with bunk beds) and a full loft upstairs, plus a queen suite and bunk room on the lower level. Three roll-away beds are available for added flexibility. Every bedroom, including the loft, has a Smart TV.

The lower-level rec room brings everyone together and offers rainy-day fun with an arcade console, Smart TV, and board games. Guests also enjoy practical comforts like a washer and dryer, dual-zone HVAC, Keurig and drip coffee makers, and free Starlink Wi-Fi (satellite-based, reliable but may be slower at times).

Bring your own boat or wave runners, or take advantage of our seasonal tritoon and jet ski rentals, which include life jackets. Tube rentals are also available for an additional fee. When renting directly from us, your watercraft can be delivered to Flat Hollow Marina at no charge, or directly to your dock for an added delivery fee.

Please note: The minimum rental age is 26, and party groups must be pre-approved. Parking is available for six to seven vehicles, including boat trailers, with overflow parking near the marina. Firewood can be purchased on-site, subject to TVA burn restrictions. A separate rental agreement and damage protection plan are required after booking. Pets and smoking are not permitted.

Lakeside Lodge blends comfort, convenience, and the laid-back pace of Norris Lake. It’s the perfect setting for families and friends to slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories together. Come enjoy all that Norris Lake has to offer!

About the host

Hosted by Tom Sturm, owner and rental agent

Host profile image
Tom Sturm is the broker/owner of Tennessee Home Finders (in LaFollette, TN) which sells real estate and manages rental properties just like this one! The Sturms love our busy lives in Cincinnati, Ohio where Tom leads a team with Coldwell Banker's Tom Sturm Group, and we're always looking for ways to help someone at church, work, and in the communities where we live and do business.

Nearly 20 years ago before the recession hit, a builder friend offered their cabin on the Lake to our family as a way to reduce stress and re-connect, and we gratefully accepted. As we traveled south on I-75, the Cumberland Mountains filled the windshield vista, and the closer we got to the Jacksboro/La Follette exit, we found our souls at peace and our minds unwinding. By the time we'd driven through winding mountain roads dappled with sunshine and breath-taking views and arrived at their "little cabin"... a beautiful 5-bedroom lakefront home, full of charm, near Flat Hollow marina - needless to say, we'd fallen in love with Norris Lake, the area, and its people.

Since then, we opened the real estate company Tennessee Home Finders LLC, and look forward to making as many trips to Tennessee for both business and pleasure with family and friends as often as we can get away. Yet no matter how many times we make that drive, Norris Lake and the Cumberland Mountains still hold the magic that originally captured our hearts with wonder and filled our spirits with peace.

Tom and Judy built - then sold - a lakehouse in Flat Hollow over a decade ago, but ironically, this "diamond in the rough" became available right next door to the one they used to own. After many months of planning, remodeling, renovations and Judy's design skill dreams, "Lakeside Lodge" is "All Decked Out" and ready for you - our family, friends and guests.

We hope you'll enjoy the same peace, experience the same wonder, and unwind and make memories like we did. Welcome!

Why they chose this property

Hailing from Cincy, we've packed everything under this roof and on this lakefront lot to make it your best one-place stop for a dream getaway. Everyone should experience the natural beauty, unlimited fun and guaranteed relaxation of a Norris Lake vacation. Lakeside Lodge has been designed to be a 24/7, year-round attraction with daytime fun at the dock and on the decks, cornhole, fishing, and watercraft rental options … and a fire pit, fire table, fireplace, hot tub, pro-grade lighting package and indoor entertainment for night-time enjoyment.

Even a rainy day can find you playing PacMan or any of the 18 games on the video console, enjoying a book or movie on any of the 4 televisions, all with Direct TV and Smart TV streaming connections, or make the drive and get to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood in under 2 hours. Deerfield Resort's 18 hole golf course is about a 30 minute drive, and there are local tennis courts and an open-to-the-public nine hole country club course in LaFollette as well.

For fun on the water, you're just a quarter mile from the marina, but tucked back in the no-wake cove just beyond the floating houses - close to everything, but safe and fun for all ages. With some of the best parking in the area, as well as marina-provided trailer parking, bring your watercraft or rent ours! Fishing guides are available for the sportsman (recommended to book in advance), and water toys are available for rent for the lake lovers. Norris Lake's 800 miles of pristine wooded shoreline and 35,000 surface acres of crystal clear water will take your breath away.

It's our personal memory - maker, and there's no greater compliment than "We didn't miss a thing, it couldn't have been better." Our goal is to share with you and your family the every-time-we-come experience of relaxing down time, joyful discoveries, wear-yourself-out time on the water, and deepening friendships that just happen when you hang out together at a place with no worries.

What makes this property unique

Over the years, our family has rented many homes in many areas of Norris Lake, but we intentionally returned to the Flat Hollow area. We found that the friendliness of the property owners, renters and the new Marina owners, Chris and Jamie, made us feel right at home. We especially like this quiet cove in a NO WAKE zone so our kids can jump off the dock without fear, and we prefer the sounds of nature and laughter day and night instead of roaring speed boats and loud stereos.

We also enjoy the convenience of Flat Hollow Marina's full service restaurant, gas station, bait shop and marine store - so relaxing to just order ahead and drive down to pick up carry out, or eat out when the ladies need a break and the guys aren't grilling, or just walking down for ice cream, listening to the bands or enjoying karaoke and seasonal entertainment on the weekends.

But our absolute favorite things are... sitting on the deck every morning with a cup of coffee, listening to loons and crows call as the mist rises from the Lake... hanging out with friends on the deck or dock after a great day on the Lake and a delicious dinner from the grill. Later you'll find yourself hanging out by the fire, or stargazing from the upper deck and being awestruck as shooting stars streak against the velvet black, Tennessee sky.

Most of the community across the lake from us in Overlook Bay is still undeveloped, and there's nothing like catching a glimpse of the bald eagles or bluebirds which nest there, or listening to the splash of jumping fish on a peaceful morning.

Let us know how we can make your special event, big celebration, or family or group vacation extra special - we and our staff are happy to accommodate any way we can. Come on down and stay a while - and tell us your favorite thing to experience at Lakeside Lodge!
