Cottage nestled in the heart of a hamlet of five or six thatched cottages where life seems frozen for centuries.

This spacious house with an area of 220 m2 comfortably accommodates 5 people.

A wonderful stay in rural Dordogne

An excellent venue for immersing in the countryside of the Dordogne region. The house is roomy with ample facilities. Very private bedrooms and bathrooms are good for two couples, but can be adapted for a family. A modern kitchen makes food preparation simple. The host is very friendly and helpful. A car is essential to explore the surroundings.

Stunning Dordogne Home

Although it rained most of the week we were in Dordogne, the house was magnificent. Beautifully remodeled farmhouse, fully equipped, peaceful garden filled with spring lilacs and other flowers, and wonderful host in Regine. We got out most days to explore the nearby countryside and towns, but loved staying in to read, cook, talk. Great restaurants and a nice little village to buy bread, wine, groceries about 10 minutes drive from the house. The perfect place for us: we will definitely go again and highly recommend it.

Outsatanding place in the country

The property was exactly as described. A really nice bonus feature was that the two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the building with 2 bathrooms and an office between them so you could not hear anything from the other bedroom (ie snoring). This is a perfect property for two couples who are travelling together. The Dordogne area is rich in heritage, good food, good wine and fun things to do. I would recommend the area and if you are going to stay in one place and explore, then I would highly recommend this property. Regine was a very accommodating host who was available for any issues. It must be an easy job for her as there were no issues whatsoever

Heart of Dordogne

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay at La Chapelle Aubariel! Regine is a gracious hostess who was always available to answer questions. The location in a quiet hamlet offers nice opportunities to take walks in the evening after dinner on the patio. While it's in a country setting it's actually quite convenient for visiting sites in the Perigord area. Sarlat is the nearest city - about 10 minutes away - and we did our shopping there. It's also a great city to visit with its old town and nice restaurants. The house itself is very spacious with large comfortable rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. We appreciated having free wifi and also having both a washer and dryer. We would definitely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

Wonderful stay

My husband and I just returned from two wonderful weeks at this beautiful, peaceful home. It is exactly as pictured - large and very comfortable. It is absolutely spotless clean and beautifully equipped. Régine has thought of everything, from binders filled with information about the region, markets and restaurants, to a basket with big fluffy robes. The house has two large bedrooms, each with its own big bathroom. One has a huge bathtub, the other a wonderful shower (one of the best showers I have had). The kitchen is well appointed - we regularly cooked and found everything we needed. The house is in the country but well situated so it is easy to drive to the many sites of the Dordogne. And Régine was a joy to deal with. She replied immediately to emails, was there to greet us when we arrived and came at our requested early hour when we left. She is warm and lovely. We could not have hoped for a better host, or home from which to explore the Dordogne. We hope to return!

Groß und schön

Das Haus ist sehr schön, sehr groß und sowohl geschmackvoll wie auch praktisch eingerichtet. Im EG befinden sich neben der großen Wohnküche zwei große Aufenthaltsräume bzw. Wohnzimmer, von denen je eine Treppe ins OG führt. Hier finden sich ein SZ mit Vorzimmer mit einem weiteren Bett und ein großes Schlafzimmer, ein Arbeitsraum und zwei Bäder, eins mit Wanne und eines mit Dusche. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Es liegt im Weiler ‚La Contie‘ zusammen mit 5 anderen Häusern und Nebengebäuden ein paar Kilometer von Archignac entfernt. In Archignac gibt es keinerlei Läden, sodass man ohne Auto nicht auskommt. In 25 Minuten ist man mit dem Auto entweder in Sarlat (sehr schön) oder in Montignac (Lascaux). Am besten gegessen haben wir in Tremolat im Bistro de la Place gegessen. Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag: Fliegengitter vor das eine oder andere Fenster

Charme, calme et situation idéale

Très belle bâtisse, spacieuse, propre et très bien équipée, au calme dans un petit logis plein de charme. Idéalement situé pour rayonner et découvrir la région (pleins de documentations sur place) L’accueil de Régine, la propriétaire, adorable, et disponible, nous a particulièrement touchés, et donné envie de revenir! Le gîte est magnifique... Situé dans un lieu dit où le calme est assuré. Les prestations sont parfaites et la propreté des lieux irréprochables. Le jardin est soigné et invite à la rêverie. Très bon séjour

Gîte chaleureux et authentique. Pour les amoureux de la pierre. Beaucoup d'espace et de calme. Le gîte est très bien équipé : il ne manque rien. Avons passé un excellent séjour, en famille. Accueil chaleureux. Paysages magnifiques. De nombreux chemins de randonnée sont accessibles autour du gîte et au-delà. Beaucoup de belles choses à voir et à visiter dans ce coin de Dordogne. Sommes ravis de ce séjour.

Magnifique séjour, une adresse à recommander vivement !

Nous avons passé un formidable séjour dans ce gîte : très grand confort, très bien équipé, très propre et un accueil très chaleureux de Régine, la propriétaire, par ailleurs très disponible en cas de besoin. Toutes les pièces sont aménagées avec beaucoup de goût, le tout en respectant l'authenticité des maisons de cette région. Location parfaitement adaptée pour deux couples. Nous recommanderons l'adresse sans hésitation et nous serons où aller si nous retournons dans cette région !

Gîte parfait pour se détendre

Le gîte se situe bien au calme à la campagne. Il est aussi très bien situé géographiquement. Les extérieurs sont agréables grâce à un noyer qui permet de profiter de son ombre bienfaisante quand il fait chaud. La grande table rectangulaire devant la maison permet de manger dehors. L'intérieur de la maison est spacieux, très propre, bien agencé. Il y a à la disposition des vacanciers de la documentation pour visiter la région. Nous n'avons manqué de rien pour notre quotidien. Régine réserve un accueil chaleureux et serviable. Ce gîte est parfait pour une famille ou un couple avec des amis.

Un grand merci pour Régine, un accueil très chaleureux, disponible et pétillante. Un vrai rayon de soleil. Le gîte est idéalement placé pour la découverte de la région. Le silence , la campagne, l'exposition la nature ou toute une harmonie règne pour être en total repos. Rien ne manque, la maison est entièrement équipée avec de l'espace pour chacun ... Pour une première expérience en location je n'est qu'une envie avec ma famille , c'est de retourné en immersion à la Contie . Merci Régine pour tout cette énergie positive. Cedric.M

Sehr komfortables, hervorragend ausgestattetes Périgord-Haus

Eine Woche Regen und Kälte Ende Juni - da war es gut, in diesem großen Haus zu sein. Wir konnten heizen und hatten sehr viele Besichtigungsziele in erreichbarer Nähe. Während der Hitzewelle eine Woche zuvor wäre es in den Schlafzimmern unter dem Dach sehr heiß gewesen, außerdem hätte uns ein größerer Außenbereich gefehlt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, Madame Schitz ist eine sehr aufmerksamer Vermieterin. In St. Daniès (10-15 Minuten mit dem Auto) gibt es einen sehr gut sortierten kleinen Supermarkt, einen Bäcker und einen Schlachter. La Contie besteht aus wenigen, meist sehr schön sanierten alten Häusern, von denen die meisten als Ferienhäuser genutzt werden. Als wir dort waren, waren nur die beiden Dauerbewohner im Ort, es war also sehr ruhig. Lascaux, Sarlat und viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen in dieser Gegend, das Haus ist für eine Périgord Noir-Erkundung sehr gut geeignet.

Superbe séjour dans un lieu privilégié au calme !

Nous venons de passer une semaine dans ce magnifique gîte, dans un lieu exemplaire de calme, et à proximité de sites touristiques de choix : Sarlat, grotte de Lascaux, châteaux, jardins, ... Propriétaire très accueillante et à l'écoute. A recommander vivement.
