Great Santa Teresa house!

This is a great Santa Teresa house! Clean, modern, in a central location but also quiet and with great views. Yonatan is a wonderful host and made sure we had a wonderful stay. Our kids loved going from the infinity pool to the beach down the hill!

Villa Kaleo Serenity

Villa Kaleo in Santa Teresa was exceptional. The property was beautiful, modern and in a great location. Central enough to be close to beaches and restaurants, yet removed from the main road through Santa Teresa which can get quite busy on the weekends. The property is beautiful, well kept, and the location just up from sea level gives it the perfect vantage to view the ocean from the serenity of the hillside overlooking Santa Teresa. The property manager Yonatan was very helpful and answered all of our questions regarding where to eat and how to get around. We can’t wait to go back again.

Our family loves to travel, and I have to say...the house (how the architecture allows for nature to be part of the experience), the location (right in the heart of Santa Teresa, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and yoga classes), the amenities (kitchen and bathrooms are fully equipped), the pool (wow), the view (wow), the sunsets, exceeded all my expectations. Great house, great location!!

Our family of four stayed between Christmas and New Years. The house was perfect - great views and great location. Right in the middle of Santa Teresa. The host was incredible. So helpful before and during the trip with reservations, cars, etc. We used LocalBird for fishing, snorkeling, etc. We missed our flight from San Jose to Cobano and there were no other flights. The host quickly helped us come up with Plan B including a driver. Saved tge day!!!

An overall amazing place! The host epitomizes hospitality, and the house checks every box from amazing views and a location that can't be beat in a town that defines vibe to uber comfy beds I'd like in my home. Host recommendations were very solid. Couple of minor house issues were tended to immediately. Don't know if it was clear in property description (mighta been) but the lower suite is not connected inside, which didn't matter to us but could for families with young kids. Enjoyed the stay!

Santa Teresa Sanctuary

Our family was fortunate enough to stay at Villa Kaleo four nights in early January. We were instantly transported into a state of relaxation when we stepped into the infinity pool with a clear view of the ocean. The outdoor seating for our morning coffee and reading was perfect with not only the view but the sounds and sights of tropical birds. Jony was the perfect host and recommended some amazing local shops and restaurants; I would highly recommend Uma. We all enjoyed the beach and happy hours at Banana Beach. My kids and husband also signed up with a surfing instructor through Banana Beach and had a blast.

Incredible stay!

Our family of 4 stayed for 12 nights at Villa Kaleo. This is our 5th trip to Costa Rica and the first time to Santa Teresa. The house was fantastic the host even better. Jony was in constant communication from the beginning to the end of the trip. He gave us a fantastic list of restaurants and a couple activities upon arrival. The house is in a great location but given the steepness of the hill a 4x4 car or atv is definitely needed. The pool was a great asset for us to unwind at after a day of surfing and swimming at the beach. We look forward to returning!

FREAKING AWESOME!!!

This is an amazing home with views to die for. Jony was great and helped us with all of our extra activities, but I could have never left the house and been completely satisfied. That pool is fantastic. We bird watched, lizard watched, and the best was the group of howler monkeys that paraded through the trees near the house for a great show. Most will want to rent a car or 4 wheelers to get up the hill to the house. We were adventurous an enjoyed the hike as a challenge. Santa Teresa is such a charming town with the kindest people living Pura Vida!! I highly recommend getting the chef Rodrigo to cook for you in the beginning of your trip. He will make a delicious meal with plenty of leftovers to eat on through the week. If you are looking for a great private villa in Santa Teresa, look no further.

Paradise in Santa Teresa Beach!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience! This Villa is by far, the most incredible place we have ever stayed! This is our second trip In 2 years and we can’t wait to comeback again! The view of the ocean and beach from every room was incredible! We felt as though we were excluded from everyone else but within walking distance to the Main Street with many restaurant choices and shops! It was such an incredible location! Yanatan gave recommendations for restaurants, and set us up for daily excursions! We couldn’t have asked for anything better! All the work was taken off our plates! This is what vacations are all about! The excursions and beauty of Costa Rica are like nothing else! Well worth it! And having a house cleaner each day was such a joy, making our vacation even better! We cannot wait to come back as it was an incredible 10 days packed with fun and relaxation each day! Perfect!

I cannot stress enough how perfect this house was. Beautiful design, convenient location (close to restaurants, markets, surfing), views for days, and an outdoor space that invites you to lounge around all day. Also, none of the dust or noise you get from the main road. Must have a 4X4 vehicle for the road up, but you get used to the steep climb quickly. I stayed here with my husband, two teenagers, and my mom. We all had our own private suites but the central living/kitchen area is open and fits us all comfortably. The daily housekeeper was something I didn't know I would need but was such a luxury I may look for that in all of my rentals. Jony kept in touch with us on and off throughout our entire stay making sure that we had everything we needed. He provided great recommendations for places to go. He even spotted us out one night at his friends restaurants and was so nice to buy dessert for us. (thanks again!) We will definitely be coming back to this location.

We stayed at this beautiful property for a week and had the most splendid time. The house is perfect in every way. Clean, modern, simple without any clutter. We loved it. Our host made our first visit to Santa Theresa great. He connected us with a surfing coach, massage therapist(s)—the best we’ve ever had, fishing guides AND gave us excellent recommendations before the trip and during our stay. He even made dinner reservations and recommended an amazing chef who we had 2 nights. This was truly a 6 star stay!!!

Gem in Santa Teresa

Excellent property in Santa Teresa. The property is as pictured. The hill is quite steep to get up to the house, we did have a 4x4 but chose to walk it which was a good workout. You definitely want to either be up a hill or directly on the beach in Santa Teresa because the main road is extremely noisy with trucks, ATV’s and everything else sharing the road. The daily housekeeping was an added bonus, be sure to tip well.

Whoever planned the house took great consideration of the location- facade of glass windows to an ocean view ! Two master bedrooms facing the ocean, a pool and outside deck. Friendly and attentive owner and team. Water in shower could run better😉 but overall perfect!

A slice of paradise!

Villa Kaleo is an incredibly beautiful place that will let you relax at any time of the day! It offers you stunning views of the wild ocean and is surrounded by trees and greenery that provides homes for a wide range of birds, variegated squirrel and colorful Lizards. We were a family of 4 and were happy to call this place our home for a week. The kitchen and living room area offers a cozy and modern feel and provides anything you will need to stay in and cook or to just relax after coming home from the beach. Its design is simply beautiful but very practical at the same time. We loved the espresso maker with provided coffee in the morning! Deliciously brewed coffee combined with beautiful views will start off your day in a perfect way! The bedrooms were very spacious, display modern chic and have very comfortable beds. Each bathroom offers beautiful showers! The place was cleaned every day, towels were replaced daily, which was very nice since especially the pool towels might not dry much in the humid climate. The location of the Villa couldn’t be more perfect! You have all the privacy you need, but yet you are so very close to all the happenings: It is only a five minute walk to some Cafés for breakfast, the organic grocery store or the beach and everything else in Santa Teresa can be reached easily on foot or by car from the Villa. We spent many mornings just walking down the hill to grab breakfast and met wildlife (agouti, iguana)on our way down or up the hill! The hill that leads up to the Villa Kaleo is very steep, so make sure if you arrive by car, you have 4WD. We also have to thank Jony for making our stay so enjoyable!!! He is one of the most friendly, responsive, and helpful hosts we have ever had!! Jony has such a pleasant and easy personality and is eager to help with any problem or question! Thank you so much, Jony! He not only gave us plenty of restaurant recommendations, he also helped us with our ferry booking, covid testing, let us back in when we locked ourselves out 😉 and really made us feel welcomed. An unforgettable trip!
