Poseidon and Trident Spring Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very good facility for a large group. Service staff were prompt and helpful with communications and service. The only hitch was problems with the WiFi which also affected the functioning of the TVs.

We had a wonderful stay at your home. We loved the fact that we could all gather in the kitchen and on the deck outside. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and spacious! We loved the little resort area with all the amenities as well!

This place needs a deep cleaning!!! Fans on porches were filthy. We didn’t even want them on because we thought dirt was gonna fall on us. The bathrooms were dirty. The floors in the corners need to be cleaned. The mattresses are in awful shape. I’ve never seen such tiny bunkbeds in my life, we couldn’t even sleep on the bottom bunk. They were so small. The floors were dirty. Somebody spilled a bottle of water on the floor window to wipe it up and the paper towel was filthy. There wasn’t enough paper towels. Ants were curling all over the kitchen sink all over the kitchen counter. We put cinnamon down to deter them.We asked for two lightbulbs in a bathroom to be replaced so we could put makeup on and the reply was simply , NO. How rude!!!!They said there would be a code for the golf cart which after looking for over half an hour we found out there was a key for the golf cart. Half the information we were given was wrong.After being told no about simply getting 2 Lightbulbs Pl., we were scared to complain about anything else. The garage door where the golf cart was kept is broken. You couldn’t shut the door when we went to leave. There was no garbage cans to put the garbage in so we had to put it in the neighbors garbage. There were only two recycling can or no garbage cans. It’s a nice house but they’re not keeping it up and if they wanna run it, they better do some work in there and get better cleaning people because they did a terrible terrible terrible job.

Nice location

Large house with lots of room for all! Rained almost every day but still great time was had! Place needs a few updates one fridge and dishwasher didn’t work well but very roomy!

Ping pong, 2 video games and a lot of room to play board games for our entire family. We plan on using this home every year for our weekend getaway.

August 2021 family reunion

Reviewer Comments: Poseidon & Trident was a great size for our group of 19, although there is room for more. Arrival and check in/out was easy. Both houses were clean. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Location was perfect- easy access to pool, lake Kai and the beach. A dishwasher leaked and maintenance responded very quickly. The kitchen has the very basics like silverware and plates, but very limited on cooking pots or pans. If you are going to cook for a large group, bring your own large skillet and pasta pots. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Long Weekend for Wedding

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One of the best points of this house is everyone can actually eat together in the same room. There is plenty of space with two living rooms in the main house but neither is big enough for everyone at the same time. Overall, my complaints are minor issues like only have a pedestal sink in the master bathroom (absolutely no counterspace), the bedroom windows only have blackouts so you either get no light or you let you neighbors (who are very close) see in your bedroom. The door to the master bedroom balcony doesn't have any covering at all so garage apartment can see right in and you can darken the room. Overall, we would stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The folks at Beachwalk Vacations are great. Always friendly, always have the right answer, and always willing to help you. However, the house we rented is another story. It is tired. It is in need of a DEEP clean. The floors are dirty, the carpet needs cleaning, my family had to throw their soxs away, and a number of things need to be repaired. The front porch railings are rotted and dangerous. The caps on the rear porch railing posts come off in your hand. The left garage door is broken. We had to open it by hand to get the golf cart out. The golf cart is very slow. You can walk faster. The house is in need of a good electrician. Many of the switches and outlets don't work. I believe the master bathroom has a serious electrical problem. The GFI and lights did not work for 6 days. Then on Thursday of our stay, they worked. This could be dangerous, or a short. Someone should draw a map of what switches do what. You have to go to the back door to operate the ceiling fans in the living room. A map should be easy to write because several switches do nothing, The A/C went out on the hottest day of the week. it took all day to have someone repair it. All they did was add some refrigerant. But nothing was repaired. Where did the refrigerant go? The next renter may have the same problem unless the leak is repaired. We couldn't do anything in the living room that night because it was 83 in the house. Other than that, our family enjoyed the Beachwalk property, not the house. I would recommend Beachwalk vacations, not the Poseidon and Trident property.

We are sorry to hear that everything was not up to your satisfaction. Poseidon is one of Beachwalk’s largest and most favorite houses and thankfully your negative opinion is isolated and at odds with nearly everyone else who has been fortunate enough to stay there. Yes, there was record setting heat that week and the air conditioner (like those all around the area) needed to be recharged. We wish you would have told us about the grill. The first we heard about it was in this review and it was too late to do anything. The owner actually had a brand new one in the garage in case the grill ever failed. In any event, we hope you visit Beachwalk again.

Perfect Home for our Family Holiday

The open kitchen / dining set up allowed meal preparation for a large group while enjoying family socializing at the same time. The fireplace and the windows added to the ambience of the room. We enjoyed meals and games with each other. The living area, porches and basement game room also gave us hours of enjoyment. The location was ideal for both Detroit and Chicago family. Beachwalk management were extremely responsive, organized and professional.

Plenty of space, was clean, and had fun games in the quiet bottom floor. We even continued our tradition of a polar plunge! We enjoyed our stay together. The house needs some larger cooking pots, but no other complaints. The staff was very helpful.
