You cannot beat the location of this house. It was right on the beach and the views were amazing. The house was very clean and the perfect size for our group.
Beautiful sunsets; lovely, comfortable two-night stay for my hiking group closer to the Lake Ozette triangle trailhead than where we live! Don’t hesitate to book this home with comfortable beds and all the kitchen amenities one would need.
We had a great stay. Especially loved walking to the Slip Point tide pools. House met all of our needs with comfort. Sitting and staring at the waves was amazing.
What a gem of a property! We enjoyed our time at Clallam Bay so much that we modified our Olympic Itinerary slightly so that we would have more time to relax at the home. It was cozy and clean, with comfortable beds and more amenities than we had time for in our 3-night stay. We appreciated the provided coffee and kitchen supplies, particularly since Clallam Bay is quite remote and secluded.
We absolutely loved this house for our trip to Olympic NP. We saw a whale, sea otters, seals and bald eagles from the back porch. Within 1 hr to nearly everything. Would definitely stay again
The home was a perfect slice of the Olympic Peninsula. Our multi-generational group enjoyed the water views, comfy beds and location to Olympic National Park. We say sea lions fishing, bald eagles soaring and tidal creatures!
Beautiful home, well outfitted, unbeatable views and location
I would highly recommend this home to anyone. A group of 6 stayed here for a fishing trip and were amazed by the great accommodations, friendly and helpful interaction with the owner, and the incredible view and beach location. A very clean and well cared for home.

Thank you Michael! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at our property, and we hope you'll come again soon. Have a great summer and happy fishing!
The location was perfect for a week of exploring the Olympic peninsula. Great views off the back patio, including a couple sea otters who hung out near the shore for a few days. Host was very responsive. Easily enough space for two families. The kids had fun exploring the tide pools a short walk down the beach.
This location was an excellent base for exploring the coastal hikes and rainforests of the peninsula! The house was comfortable and very well stocked. The views into the strait and the SUNSETS were incredible during our stay in early July. The backyard is a quiet pebble beach with rolling waves, tide pools a short walk away. Constant parade of bald eagles. It was difficult to leave the adirondack chairs each evening! Potential renters should be aware that the position of the property on Clallam Bay is quite westward facing, which has a very coastal feel, despite being well into the mouth of the Strait. Great spot!
We absolutely loved our stay at this house! The location is perfect for walks on the beach, tide pools, fishing in the river, sunsets, and just general relaxation sitting on the patio overlooking the water. We thought the location was great to explore the rainforests, beaches, and lakes of Olympic National Park. The owners are wonderful and very helpful with any questions prior to and during the trip. They even offered fishing advice to my son who brought his pole to fish in the river and bay.
Planned a trip to fish with a group of first response fire service guys.
The house was perfect and we had a great trip.
Owner is super helpful with anything we needed.
Haley & Peter's place is just amazing and was so great for our kids! They spent hours exploring the tide pools or simply enjoying them in and around the house... which ultimately allowed the parents to enjoy their time as well :-) The view - even from the kitchen is fantastic.
Thank you, Haley & Peter for letting us stay and your great & fast communication
We really enjoyed the house, view, and location. Seeing eagles over the Strait, exploring the tide pools - you feel very close to the water's ecosystems from this cozy house!
The place was great (very comfy beds; we used the kitchen heavily, and it was up to the task), but I want to rave about the experience. We watched harlequin ducks feeding in the surf just a short distance away. Out a bit further, buffleheads, goldeneyes, and loons. On a walk along the beach in the state park, common mergansers. I definitely recommend taking binoculars for the diving ducks and other waterfowl. The rocky intertidal there was spectacular -- a number of firsts for me, including the giant pacific chiton and a nudibranch. We lit a fire one night and enjoyed the sound of the waves. It was a great getaway.
We stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving weekend. We loved everything about it. The location was excellent, with a lot of hikes around. Every day we had a couple hrs without rain, we took advantage of the surroundings. The owners were very responsive and even left out wood for us to use in the fire pit. We didn’t end up using it, but appreciated their willingness to provide for us. The house was well provisioned, we had a lot of the basics and even more. The only reason I am giving four stars for the cleanliness was that we were looking for items the kids dropped under the beds in the bunk room, and it seemed that it had not been vacuumed in a long time. Same for the rugs. Other than that everything was very nice and would return here without question. Thank you for the hospitality.
This place was exactly what we expected and more. The house interior is updated, fresh, and airy and cozy at the same time. Big picturesque windows with views of the beautiful bay and a great gas fireplace to warm you up as you look at the view. Our family ate some great meals cooked in the well stocked kitchen, played many boardgames, went on hikes and beach walks, and had a fantastic time!
The location is terrific, both from being right on the water, as well as being convenient for reaching other spots on the Olympic Peninsula. The listing is accurate. The house is comfortable. The kitchen is particularly well-appointed. The manager responded promptly to all questions.
We stayed here for a few days in August. The pictures of the house are accurate- it's beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed. The house is right on the beach, and there are wonderful windows to enjoy and hear the view and sea breezes. The beach is rocky, which means there are some awesome tide pools a short walk from the house.
The house has several amenities...you can tell the home owners have thoughtfully furnished this house. Plenty of comfy indoor and outdoor seating areas, stocked fire pit, grill, good wifi, kitchen is well stocked with equipment, dishes, extra ice maker...just everything you would need is there. Check-in and out was easy and well communicated.
The town is small (which we liked), so I would recommend doing most of your grocery shopping in Port Angeles on the way in. The town has 2 restaurants, and a co-op and larger gas station mart for essentials. Would stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is on a beach loaded with neat things to find. The home is very clean and up to date. Kitchen well stocked. Linens very nice and beds very comfortable. Nice fire pit with wood provided. For hikers, it is a bit far from the Hurricane Ridge entrance, but we still did it. Pretty close to the ONP at Ozette and Shi Shi area. We had a great time hiking the mountains, the coast and exploring the beach front. Would love to come back!

About the host

We are a family of 5 (including our Yellow Lab, "Otter") that LOVE the outdoors - especially beach walks & forest hikes. The cabin is our favorite place to go relax or explore. There are so many options for outdoor activities. Peter is a very avid fisherman, and our 9-yr-old son has been besting his dad lately! Myself & our 8-yr-old daughter love walking the beach to find new shades of sea glass, large agates, starfish, & perfect urchin shells. We love hiking as a family and typically end up at the Co-Op on the corner for icecream after one of our day-hikes.
Why they chose this property
We grew up fishing in Sekiu. We would camp or stay in the fishing motels along the waterfront to salmon fish and always really enjoyed our time (and the fishing was GREAT!). But better yet, now there's more to enjoy if someone wants to spend the day on the beach instead of on the boat. The fishing party heads out early morning and then we all meet up for brunch around 11AM in town. Everyone staying behind can enjoy their morning coffee/cartoons by the fireplace and a morning beach walk all before having to change out of their pajamas!
What makes this property unique
The views cannot be beat! And the waves and beach are ever-changing. Half of the beach is pebbles, agates, and shells. The other half is beautiful sand. Our neighborhood also backs up the the Clallam River which is fun for flyfishing and swimming in the summertime. This property is truly unique and absolutely breath-taking. Pull up a chair to the boulder bulkhead and firepit to watch the waves lap in.
