Beautiful well maintained house, easy everything. My only complaint is specific to my preferences, it would’ve been nice if there was 1 king out of the 3 beds, and more of a blackout cover option for windows. Otherwise simply perfect location & hosts!

We're glad that you enjoyed the house and thank you for pointing out the quiet neighborhood in your review. Stay with us again whenever you're in the area.
This was our second stay at this charming property. The location is wonderfully situated in a quiet Sun Prairie neighborhood within walking distance to boutiques in town, an easy driving distance to Madison and all the major attractions. The property is clean, comfortable, and stocked with all the amenities. The beds and linens are great, and the place gives a nod to local famous folks- Frank Lloyd Wright and Georgia O’Keeffe- in its decor.

We love repeat guests and it's always a pleasure hosting you and your college roommates on your reunion weekend. You brought a lot of joy to the Sun Prairie vendors. Thanks for the welcome rock for the backyard Village in the Grove!
Hosts were friendly and welcoming. House was clean and all beds were super comfy. Would definitely stay here again when in the Madison area.

We strive to be certain the house is clean, so thank you for pointing this out in your review, as well as the comfortable beds. We welcome repeat guests and you're always welcome to stay with us again.
This was indeed a pleasant retreat! It's a beautifully renovated home, with a nod to Frank Lloyd Wright and Georgia O'Keeffe, that has everything we needed or wanted: lovely interior yet a homey, relaxing feel, comfy beds, strong showers, pretty gardens, and helpful, friendly hosts. They even had a substitute charger cord. Since I was recovering from a leg injury, having one bedroom and full bath on the main floor made the trip easier. We chose Sun Prairie for its proximity to Madison, and the trip was an easy one. But we found local places to eat and shop and learn a little history that were worth visiting too. Definitely one of the best VRBOs where we have stayed.

We appreciate your pointing out in your review that the house had everything you needed for your family gathering. That is what we strive to do. You're always welcome to book with us again.
This cute house in Sun Prairie was clean and comfortable, and the hosts who live next door were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. All three beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and good quality linens. Towels were also plush and plentiful. We will definitely stay here again if we need accommodations in Sun Prairie or the Madison area.

We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed the house. Thank you for mentioning the amenities in the house in your review. It was our pleasure to host you and your friends.
Everything was perfect. You can tell this isn’t simply a rental property, but a labor of love for the owners. They met us when we arrived and gave tour of the property. The first floor master was comfortable and, thankfully, separated from the two 2nd floor bedrooms we shuffled our kids off to. The game room is in the basement, which also gave some peace and quiet. Downtown Sun Prairie was a comfortable walk away. We highly recommend Full Mile. Good food, beer, and staff. We will definitely be staying here again.

You booked at the last minute and your plans seemed fluid. We're glad that we could accommodate you in the ways you mentioned in your review. Full Mile is a favorite of ours as well. Come stay with us again.
We had an excellent stay! This place had a ton of space. I loved the grill. The hosts are very friendly. We certainly enjoyed meeting them, however it did create a certain pressure around the check in process knowing that we had to meet them. (“ it’s part of the check-in process.”) we would stay again if the need arises.

We're glad you enjoyed the house and grill. Greeting guests is our way of explaining unique features of the house, rather than leaving notes on everything. Guests that don't want to meet us when they arrive, should make us aware of this when they book. Thank you for sharing your feelings on this matter.
Always a pleasure to stay here! Already set for next year!

About the host
Hosted by Randy & Connie Burmeister
The Burmeisters have lived on Dewey St. for the past 49 years and enjoyed raising their family in their 112 year-old four-square home. Connie is a retired elementary school teacher. Randy retired from law enforcement after 43 years of service.
Why they chose this property
Randy and Connie live next door and are the property managers for 213 Dewey St. They purchased this property in 2017 because they enjoy renovating older homes and landscaping. They are committed to their unique historic neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
213 Dewey St. is a classic Cape Cod home. The home was renovated and a first floor master bedroom, master bath, deck, guest bathroom and first floor laundry addition were completed. All mechanicals were upgraded. New kitchen appliances were installed. The wood floors were refinished. The exterior and interior colors are traditional for this 1947 home. And new Arts and Crafts furnishings were purchased to complete the classic feel of this cozy home! We encourage long term stays and family gatherings. Bookings over 30 days have no state and county sales tax added.
