This is what one our our guest loved: We spent five days in this house. It turned out to be better than its photos. The house is right on the banks of the Kangaroo lake. I had my coffee on the pier everyday amongst tall trees . The house is well kept and has everything that you would want.

Not far away is the nostalgic drive-in movie theater that will surely capture great memories.

For your shopping pleasure take a day and enjoy the many shops there are to offer. Stop and have lunch at one of the fine restaurants along the strip. Only a short drive away there are many orchards and vineyards to explore. Everything is at your fingertips for you to enjoy.

Fully stocked kitchens, cozy living rooms, and comfy beds to relax in while you stay.

The home has 5 bedrooms with 4 baths and can comfortably sleep up to 16 people. 5 of the rooms have water view which includes the kitchen/dinning area.

When we walked in and saw the view of the lake and the beautiful open living area we were delighted!! We had a birthday toast of the dock watching the sunset! Gorgeous~ It was so nice there we cancelled dinner reservations and had a light dinner there, and played games. What a great piece of Heaven!! Thanks for sharing!!

The Perfect Long Weekend Stay

The Island View Lakehouse was the PERFECT place to stay for our girls' weekend! The location is unbeatable on Kangaroo Lake, and the house itself is comfortable, spacious, and has great lakehouse vibes. Terrie was a very welcoming and communicative host. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Door County with a family/larger group!

Perfect home for a family vacation

We had a wonderful week’s stay at Michael’s home on Kangaroo Lake. Plenty of space for the 6 of us (plus a toddler who loved running around in the yard and “playing” the provided yard games!). The weather was great so we ate our dinners outside overlooking the peaceful lake. Michael was very responsive and the location was ideal-just a few minutes to Bailey’s Harbor and 10 or so minutes to Egg Harbor and the Main St Market. We would highly recommend this home!

The perfect ‘home base’

This was the perfect ‘home base’ for our first family vacation in 3 years. Waterfront, amazing sunsets, quiet neighborhood, well-appointed kitchen, and pretty much everything else you could ask for. Long before our departure we began planning our return.

Island View Lake Home

We had a wonderful family vacation at the Island Lake home! It was a beautiful location, and close to many things to do and places to see. We loved to gather as a family for dinners in the evenings. Memorable family vacation

Wonderful home to spend time with family. Very spacious areas and kitchen well stocked with pots/pans for fun family dinners. Beautiful outdoor spaces were enjoyed by all, especially the lake, kayaks, and fire pit. So close to all the lovely towns, shopping, grocery and beaches. Highly recommend Waseda Farm for local meats and produce. Michael and Terrie were wonderful hosts!

Beautiful home inside and out

House and grounds are very well maintained on Kangaroo Lake. The 5 bedrooms and 4 bath comfortably fit our family of 14 included 9 adults and 5 grandkids. Campfire pit was well stocked with wood, weather was cool ( October) but would be awesome to use the lake during the summers. Definitely an A+ property and property owners.

Home away from home

This home was very comfortable for the entire family. Beautifully decorated and well stocked kitchen. There is ample space for a large family or group of friends. The house is on Kangaroo Lake, which is shallow, so very nice for children in warmer months. Access to all villages on the peninsula with a short drive. Beds were very comfortable. Great place to stay!

Lake house paradise

This property was beautiful. We stayed with our family and had kids 3 to 18. It was more beautiful than the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked and we grilled many meals. The whole family enjoyed kayaking on the lake and it was great for the kids because the lake was so shallow. There were plenty of outdoor games to play and we spent a lot of time just hanging outside. The property was very quiet and the backyard was very private and secluded. I would stay here again. Great Stay!

This is a beautiful property that was convenient for a large group of people. I went with 8 of my friends from high school/college and we had the time of our lives. The owner was great and checked in with me frequently to see if we needed anything. There was plenty of firewood to do a bonfire and bikes! My favorite town in DC is Baileys Harbor and it was just a 3 min drive to town. The owner provides many suggestions of things to do if you don’t know DC. The house itself was clean and spacious!

Absolute perfection!!

This house is better than the listing even describes. Everything about it was perfect!! The owners did not spare any expense and left no details unturned. Everything you could need... even down to an instapot and materials to start the bonfire each night. We have our fingers crossed for a week next summer!!

Relaxation with Family and Friends

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect. There was so much at the house to keep us busy. Bicycles, kayaks, canoe. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. The location was convent to everything we wanted to do. Guys went fishing and only had a 5 minute drive to the boat. Would love to rent this home again.
