Our experience was wonderful with two large families. The lake views and accommodations are beautiful. The house is well stocked for what you need to enjoy your time.
We were a group of 7 women spending a long weekend. We enjoyed the stay and liked having enough comfortable beds for all of us. We were out and about a good amount of our time, but when at the property greatly enjoyed the view, sunsets, outdoor seating and comfortable indoor spaces.
Great stay for a group of guys up for a fishing trip. Nothing like a good outdoor fire and watching sunsets and having coffee on the water in the morning!
Our house outside Egg Harbor was a lovely quiet place to spend our time in beautiful Door County. Away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to explore the attractions of Door County.
We loved our stay! The location was central to all the things we love to do on vacation. We love touring the wineries and it was an easy drive to all of them. Our host communicated well and offered many suggestions when asked of places to eat and other attractions. The beach was a beautiful setting and the house was perfect to accommodate our group of 10 adults.
This house was very clean and SO well appointed with many activities and things to do. We never turned on the TV and instead visited by the lake, enjoyed kayaking with the kayaks provided, played ping pong or corn hole. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and we were grateful to have found it!
We enjoyed this spacious clean home! We kayaked on Green bay using the kayaks that were available to us as advertised. The check in was extremely easy. The best part was the very comfortable and picturesque backyard/deck overlooking the bay!
We stayed with friends to explore all Door County has to offer. The place was great to come back to and watch the sunset, which were all gorgeous! The deck on the beach was fabulous for it. Very clean and well stocked with any kitchen utensil needed and spices for cooking. Would highly recommend.
We had a great time!! The owners thought of everything. The kids loved being on the kayaks and riding the bikes. We sat around the bon fire every night. Lots of amenities. Communication with manager was seamless! Absolutely loved staying st this home!
This home was absolutely great. Large enough to give the teenagers space. Very clean and just overall very nice, Enjoyed the outside as well. Spending time on the shoreline watching the sunsets was fantastic. thank You

Favorite vacation rental ever
This house was better than the photos! Very comfortable, clean and a quiet location. The view is incredible (!!!) and the kids loved the kayaks, bikes, ping pong table, fire pit and the Irish theme. It was a great amount of space for 6 adults and 3 kids aged 7 to 10. We brought water shoes and rocks on the beach were not an issue at all, unlike some other reviews. The house is in a great location for visiting the adorable towns in door county. We loved it and didn’t want to leave!!

Great home and location
We loved staying in your home for a family vacation. Being right on the lake made it a delight every day of the trip! We enjoyed getting out in your kayaks, enjoying a campfire (with classic s’mores), watching the sunset right in the backyard and enjoying time in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the water. Relaxing and enjoyable. And we appreciated your attention to details and service. Even replacing a coffeemaker quickly so we could enjoy our coffee. We would certainly recommend and hope to return.
Outstanding sunsets from the firepit and the deck just steps from the water. A beautiful home with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. If you're in need to get away from everything and just reconnect with nature and yourself, this is a good place to do just that. Bald eagles in the sky during the day, the galaxies beyond what you've ever seen during the night, and the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep will make you never want to leave.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Did like: wonderful for family getaway. very quiet and peaceful.
Didn't like: We had camp fire and we got lot of kids running around. Probably we can help few more lights probably till the lake shore so that we can enjoy the night time with lights on :)
Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful vacation at Shamrock Bay. With direct water access, we were able to enjoy kayaking, relaxing in the beach chairs, and watching the beautiful sunsets. The wooded area surrounding the property made it feel like our own private getaway. Many Door County destinations were just a short drive away. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking and baking dishes and utensils. The two dining tables, the two living areas, the four large bedrooms and the closets provided us plenty of room. The owner, Peggy, was gracious , friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Shamrock Bay!
Our reservation was for several days during the week at the end of August. The property is secluded from the road, but as you approach, you appreciate the landscaping and roomy driveway in front of the house. Inside is warm and inviting - definitely like someone lives there and enjoys it. There's quite a selection of games, as well as ping pong in the garage and some kayaks to use, all of which, we took advantage. It would have been nice to take a bike ride, but time went too fast. The kitchen was well stocked with any implement we needed for food preparation. Our favorite amenity was the wooden deck by the water. We sat and read as well as watched boats go by, the kids swim, storm clouds roll in, and the sun set. We only left for groceries, and to take part in a fish boil. Our time was up too soon.

Disappointing beach and water access
If it weren’t for the fact that we paid over $1,000 per night for this rental then we probably would have considered a 4 star review, but at that price point we definitely expected more. The beach is all large stones that are hard to walk on and there is a layer of algae along the entire waterfront that is at least a foot deep. There are large black spiders everywhere on the beach and the algae continues into the water. Definitely bring water shoes for both kids and adults if you are considering going in. All of the other neighboring properties have docks and this one really should have one as well.
There were also a lot of more minor issues that were nonetheless disappointing and did not meet expectations (dirty dishes in dishwasher upon arrival, no wash clothes or paper towels, no broom, bad AC flow to the upstairs, broken tile at the main entrance, lack of drapes on the upstairs balcony door, etc.).
All that being said, the water views are fantastic, we really enjoyed the fire pit, it is a spacious location and good for large groups, and it is close by to a lot of great spots (Egg Harbor beach is only 10 min away and is all sand and completely algae free plus it has a small playground for kids).

Response from VrboOwner on 14 July 2023
Hi Aubrey, thanks for taking the time to review your stay. After reading your feedback, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
- Wisconsin is home to some spiders and algae in the water, which can be a natural occurrence in certain areas. The smooth rock beach was accurately represented in the listing's photos. However, we understand it may not have been the experience you expected.
- There's no dock pictured or advertised in the listing. We're sorry to hear that caught you off guard.
Once again, thank you for sharing your review with us. We truly value your feedback, and we're glad you had some enjoyable moments during your stay as well.
