Very comfortable and beautiful home. Great vacation for us. Only issue is that my two girls were in college and the internet speed was not fast enough for their classes. That was our only issue.

Great house. Well equipped. The one bedroom without AC got a little warm on hot days. Beautiful, quiet lake. Perfect for kayaks, fishing, and swimming. Host lives next door to property and keeps close eye on property and tenants.

This was a terrific place for our family to stay while attending our son's wedding at Bates college. Highly recommended. The house is lovely; it's right on a quiet and peaceful lake yet only 10 mins drive from Lewiston. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals, and the deck outside (overlooking the lake) was a great place to eat them. The hosts were very kind, showing a much-appreciated flexibility on departure time, and communication with them was excellent.

We had a great visit for our student's graduation from Bates. We enjoyed the lake, the house and location. Close but quiet! Our hosts were great and communicated with us as needed. Wish we had found it before graduation. I would have been our house in Lewiston/Auburn!

Lovely, cozy cottage on Taylor Pond. It has plenty of space for 7 people. It was chilly while we were there but the gas heating stove took the chill off. Love the views of the lake and the outdoor setting offered wonderful places to sit and relax. Kitchen is older but offers all the modern comforts needed to cook meals or prepare snacks. The hosts are very accommodating and turned on lights for our 11:30 pm arrival. This was our second stay at Taywood Cottage and we look forward to future stays!

A beautiful Fall week on the lake. The property was really on point. Comfortable, quiet, quaint. We were visiting family in Auburn and it was easy to get to and from. The hosts were responsive and very nice.

Great location on the lake

Plenty of space and a great location on the lake. Susan and Woody were available when needed while giving us privacy. Love having access to kayaks as well!

We had a wonderful stay here! The pond was wonderful and warm, and the tubes and boats provided were so much fun to use. (Word to the wise- bring water shoes!) The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. The front yard was not quite what we expected from the pictures- we thought it would be flatter so we could play some yard games. There also is a bird house placed right in the middle that happened to have baby birds in it (which was exciting to watch through the kitchen window) that prevented us from really using that space much at all. There also is no AC in one of the bedrooms upstairs which made it difficult to get comfortable on the humid nights of summer. There were plenty of fans provided however, so the cooler nights were very comfortable. Just plan accordingly if you are staying during the summer! Other than those small details, I would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

We loved our stay here. The house is wonderful and well cared for, one of the most well stocked rentals I have ever stayed in. Cute neighborhood, right on the water, and the hosts were so nice. Thank you for a great week.

This is a hidden gem. Beautiful renovated vacation house on the west shore of Taylor Pond. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the lake to the sound of loons calling nightly. Perfect for one family or 2 small families. The hosts are wonderful and highly responsive. The house is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Lewiston, Auburn, and Bates College

Love the Cottage!

We enjoyed 3 wonderful days at the Taywood Cottage on Taylor Pond! Very clean, very comfortable, and right on the water. Spent hours paddling the kayaks around the pond. Terrific layout for families. Great location - listen for the loons on the pond in the evenings! Owners live right next door and are excellent hosts!

Beautiful Property

We very much enjoyed our stay at the lake. There are multiple levels of deck to sit on while taking in the sunset over the lake or the views in general. The amenities are nice (grill with propane pre-filled, two kayaks, etc). The beds, furniture, kitchen supplies, etc were great. The property is very clean inside as well.

The views are amazing. House was lovely and everything you could need. Owners are friendly and stopped over to make sure we had everything we needed. Even with a day of our visit rained out it was still great.

Susan and Woody were very helpful and welcoming. They gave us lots of tips for shopping, dining and activities. The house was fully equipped and the set up was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the kayaks and lake even though we had chilly days. The sunset view was in a perfect spot for us to see each night. There is a variety of activities for family fun within an hour drive. We would definitely recommend this spot and hope to return some day. Thank you Susan and Woody for sharing your home with us.
