This is a quiet, highly regarded and admired neighborhood with a laid-back atmosphere that allows you and your family to spend lots of time enjoying this nature filled area along with lots of private outside space.
Tree-lofts are just as much fun for adults and children. This nature preserve is walking distance to Harbor Town, restaurants, tennis, golf and shopping. Lots of windows allow you to feel like you are living in the trees while listening to the ocean.
This 1000 sq ft home is extremely comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 full small baths. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook in when ever you choose, although you are surrounded by many great restaurants. There is a television, roku, dvd player and cable in each bedroom. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and on suite bathroom while the other bedroom is equipped with a comfy queen size murphy bed and the 2nd bathroom is just across the hall. The linens and towels are all high quality and you find everything you need in this great tree house to relax and enjoy your best vacation. Desk area is provided for that work or school away from home, although you might choose to work outside on the deck. The WiFi is strong, fast and safe. The outside deck areas are the best and great for casual dining, safe visiting and grilling. This incredible outside living space is where you will spend lots of time enjoying nature and fresh air. There's even an outdoor pool table. This property is designed for having fun.
The owner is a hot air balloonist with a rich history in the sport. The decor reflects this history and makes the experience even more magical.
Kayaks, tennis rackets, golf clubs, beach chairs and beach towels are provided.
The Sea Pines Resort Pass is a $22 weekly or $8 per day and is obtained at the guard gate when entering . This pass will allow you to travel anywhere open to the public in the Sea Pines Resort. Additional fees may apply during special events like Heritage Golf Classic.

Deer Island Sea Pines Treehouse

We stayed 11 nights on Deer Island. Our Deer Island treehouse came with a lot of deer and a lot of character. It did not disappoint. To interact with wildlife like this, was an experience we will never forget. We enjoyed feeding the deer every day. We were at the very end of Deer Island Road, and it was so quiet and peaceful and beautiful. It was just what we needed, a relaxing vacation. Our dog absolutely enjoyed himself too, he also loved watching all of the deer. It was so nice to take walks down Deer Island Road to Harbour Town. We bought groceries and grilled out, but we also went to a few restaurants to enjoy the local cuisine. If you get chance, and you are looking for something totally different, we recommend trying this place out. Hilton Head overall is an amazing place. So, do yourself a favor, and plan your next vacation here. Lastly, thank you to our host, she was so sweet and so kind, we truly appreciate her. Ohio folks and our furry family member love Hilton Head!

This is our 3rd year at Carols property and we love it! So quiet and lots of deer and birds. The privacy of deer island is not to be beat! Love getting to bring our pups as well. Deer island is close to Harbor town but still has a private feel.

My husband and I had a mixed stay with our dog for two days. First the good. We enjoyed the location on Deer Island. Deer do in fact visit the property and eat the deer pellets that are provided. It was a special treat to see the deer so close! Deer Island is a short, walkable distance to Harbor Town, where we took a boat tour with our dog and ate at Quarterdeck. The home itself is quirky. We loved the outside area and all the windows. and we also liked that there was a washer and dryer on the property. Now the not so good. When we arrived in the evening, we noticed right away that between the two bathrooms, there was only 1/4 roll of toilet paper. Period. No extra rolls anywhere. There was also only one bar of hand soap between the two bathrooms, lightbulbs were burnt out, and no paper towels. I contacted the owner right away to let her know the urgent need for toilet paper. Her initial response was actually intended for the house cleaners, so I corrected her. Then nothing. No response that night or even the next morning, even after I sent 6 messages. Luckily we brought travel soap and a small roll of paper towel, and we conserved the toilet paper. New TP finally magically appeared at noon the next day without notice. We were also told to bring our own blanket to cover the furniture for our dog, but the furniture was already full of dog hair. Outside, most of the toys/furniture are dirty or unusable (ex. the pool cue tips are broken). And be sure to bring your own coffee!

Adorable property

Note: Bring cash for the resort pass at the gate. We absolutely loved staying here. We were looking for a private place to stay close to the beach & restaurants that would welcome our little furbaby and we were fortunate to find this place. It was absolutely adorable. The window all around bringing so much light & views of nature. We were so happy to see a fully functional kitchen as we were able to run to the grocery store for a few items so we can enjoy occasional breakfast and lunch at the property. Cleanliness; nothing puts your mind at ease when staying at a rental like walking in to the property & you are treated by the sent of cleaning products.lol I loved that I could tell not only by visual inspection but it smelled so fresh and clean. We really enjoyed the having the deer visit. I felt like I was living in a Disney movie. Sitting outside downstairs & hand feeding the Deer who were very polite and not shy to come up if you hold your hand out. I didn’t touch them but fed them the our nutty cereal w/ strawberries in a disposable cup. I was in love! I would recommend bringing your own bikes. The ones on the property are inoperable unfortunately however they do have a bunch of beach accessories downstairs! You can walk or ride your bike to harbor town and enjoy some restaurants & shops! There is parking if you choose to drive. There are free trolleys that come through harbor town about every 10 minutes that can take you to the beach other areas of Sea Pines resort.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the treehouse! We were blessed to have not one but 2 fawns with their mothers visit us regularly during our stay!! The home is lived in and lovley!! We were there for a wedding on the island and had every thing we needed!! Thank you for sharing your quiet space.

Whimsical and cozy!

We loved our stay at this very unique and cozy tree house loft. It's very colorful and clean. All essentials were supplied. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Washer and Dryer is a plus! Kitchen fully stocked with supplies needed. The Owner, Carol responds quickly with any questions we had. Definitely recommended! Lots to do nearby for all ages!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this "treehouse"! Carol had it well equipped with everything we needed. The location is enchanting with the abundance of birdsongs and visiting deer! Its an easy walk to Harbour Town where we had a nice Valentines lunch.

Another wonderful week!

This is our second time at Kelsey’s treehouse and it was again wonderful. The property is quiet and secluded with beautiful trees all around and lots of wildlife. We saw deer every day! Easy walk to Harbor Town and a 15 minute bike ride to the beach with easy access to other places in Sea Pines. The fact that our dogs can stay is a bonus. Porch was a perfect place to sit at any point and just rest and enjoy the surrounding. Carol is a great host!

Unique property in a great area.

Kelsey’s treeloft provided us with a great experience. The treeloft is secluded, in a beautiful neighborhood of unique architecture. Although our stay was limited, the property provided many accommodations to further enjoy the activities HHI. We greatly enjoyed being able to walk to Harbortown for breakfast and activities. We can’t wait to come back and experience all the glories of Kelsey’s Treeloft and HHI. Thank you for having us.

Great location, Fun house

Carol - Thanks for hosting us. We had a nice visit and loved the location. The home was a perfect size for my wife and I as well as our pups. They were well behaved and did not get up on any of the furniture. Not entirely sure the unit was cleaned before we arrived. We ended up getting there at 2pm to drop our car off and walk around yet the cleaning crew was nowhere in sight. The trash wasn't taken out and the unit was not that clean. Also, for future guests to know, there was no available propane for the grill (though there were 4 empty ones in a storage area on the deck). Also, when I went to try using the red grill, it was infested with rats... yikes.

We enjoyed feeding the welcoming young deer and their offspring.very cute and unique.

Terrific reunion with friends and their families Beach , tennis pool,action cookout’s Etc Most enjoyable time. Becoming one with nature and very little TV made it special..Not,particularly Sr friendly with stairs etc . But it worked for us us . The upstairs outside furniture could use a refresh. It’s hard with the rains etc , but we made the best of tent table with wine etc .I forgot,to,roll,down the tent so,ask the cleaners to,do,that, Thanks,Carol

Wonderful Time!

We had a wonderful time at Kelsey’s Treehouse! We couldn’t have asked for a better location in Sea Pines right by Harbour Town. I am unable to walk far because of my knee but my teenagers walked to Harbour Town several times. The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed. The scenic nature and quiet beauty were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the daily visits from the deer. We drove to Coligny Beach and Fish Haul Beach and had no trouble with parking at either location. We had a lot of rainy and stormy days but we just went with it and enjoyed a Fireworks Cruise from Harbour Town, dinner at The Crazy Crab, and ice cream at The Salty Dog. We are so grateful for our stay at this perfect home. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our 12 days at this property, the location couldn’t be better, it’s within walking distance to Harbour Town. The bike trails through Sea Pines are extensive. Restaurants and grocery stores are a short drive. The tree house itself is very unique, it is dated and in need of some TLC, it is definitely not the spot for someone with mobility issues, the inner staircase can be dangerous for someone that is over 5-10 or with broad shoulders, the angled floors are a bit unnerve at first. The deer around the house were the highlight of the trip. The owner is very cooperative and is available and attentive to all issues.

Relaxing Hideaway

This was a wonderful home. It is well appointed and nicely maintained. The kitchen items and linens were fantastic, we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck, watching the deer, and listening to the birds almost every evening/afternoon. The location is perfect. Close enough to Harbor Town to enjoy, but far enough away to be secluded. A fantastic house and great communication with the owner Carol. We are looking forward to staying there again!

I purchased this property decades ago so that I could enjoy being in the hub of Harbor Town, the most exclusive marina and area on the island and in Sea Pines Resort. It is located in walking distance of so much and yet when in the tree loft you feel very private in a wooded setting. I am glad to be able to share this with you and your family.

The tree loft sits in the woods providing the feeling of great privacy and being surrounded by nature and fresh air yet is walking distance to everything in Harbor Town and the walking and biking trails.

The outdoor decks are great additional living space. I spend more time on my deck than I do inside the house. It is amazing to be outside and in the trees. I can sit on the large deck and watch birds and squirrels or read. I can walk to restaurants, shopping, the marina and much more.
