Well equiped rental on the main street through town
Clean but very dated furnishings. Needs some love but the kitchen was well equiped and functional. Being on the main drag was noisy with traffic during the day but quiet at night
We had a fun stay...house location makes it easy to get to town walking. Also coffee shop nearby and fun to sit on the porch and watch what is going on.
The location was perfect, pleanty of parking, clean, and bedrooms were spacious, kitchen was very large. When in Mt. Shasta I will definitely see if this place is available and would recommend to anyone who is looking for location
This is a fairly good-sized house located in central Mt. Shasta. I can imagine a group of friends coming up for the ski season and having a marvelous time.
Excellent location. Walking distance to downtown and restaurants. This a great option for a basic rental with all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.
Perfect location to be able to walk to everything. Beautiful yard which our dog enjoyed too. Comfortable beds and spacious kitchen. The host was very easy to communicate with.
The house was clean upon arrival and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Check in and check out were simple and the owner was fantastic to communicate with. The location is perfect for what we needed. Walking distance to downtown area and restaurants. Easy access to Hwy 89 with skiing/sledding and hiking nearby. Will plan to stay here again.
Great stay. Everything was clean and comfortable.
The only negatives: the hot water ran out after two quick showers. A few spoons suitable for children would have been nice, since they were all very large. But great stay overall.
We were in town for the high school ski and snowboard state championships and this house met our needs perfectly. The location to Mt. Shasta Ski Park and town was great! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and the kitchen was stocked. There could have been more toilet paper, 2 rolls for 4 people for 4 days was not quite enough. All in all it was a great place and we would choose to stay again.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable. Location excellent. As were the fallen apples in the front yard. Having only one bathroom wasn't as much of a problem as anticipated for the 6 of us. Cable TV, however, was unusable.
I used to live in Mt. Shasta so I was looking to stay in town. This house is in a great location at the south end of town and reasonably priced. The house needs a bit of updating to the furniture in the living room but the beds are comfortable. The host was accessible and accommodating in adding additional days to our stay due to the winter storm that dumped so much snow we could not get to our next destination. We did need help with shovelling the driveway and walk because it snowed a couple of feet and the host had it done in the beginning of the week. However when it snowed another foot or two later in the week and he was delayed in communicating if he would have a plow person out again, we ended up having to have a friend plow the driveway for us. Other than that, our 8 nights there were enjoyable.
This property is well worth the price - it has LOTS of off street parking, a big kitchen & dining room, three bedrooms and a discrete bathroom w/fan. It also has lots of games though you'll probably want to bring your own. Location is great, you can walk or drive to "downtown" but there are a few restaurants nearby.
A couple notes:
To park off street you need to drive through a somewhat constrained stone wall opening, so drive slowly and take your time!
There are lots of dishes and cups/glasses; no dishwasher but has oven/stove and microwave. The coffee maker needs 12-cup flat-bottomed basket filters - they were low during our stay so you might want to bring some.
The heating works really well - but note that the thermostat is programmed to reduce to 62 degrees at 11:30pm; so if that's too cold for you, you'll need to get up and reset it.
And finally, there is no ghost. If your kids are freaked out at the thought, don't let them read the guestbook!
We had a great time at this house. There were a few things that could be updated like the mattresses and some of the door knobs. But other than that, it’s a perfect location. It was great to go ski skiing.
Good location -easy walk to restaurants and short drive to so many things to do! We had a great weekend hiking and swimming and seeing waterfalls.
The house has a beautiful mural on one side that we didn’t see in the photos online. The house was older and not updated but was very clean. The yard is large and our dogs enjoyed the space.
