The mural on the outside of the house is beautiful!! The location made walking to down town really simple. The beds and bedding are comfortable; the bath towels are plush. Bring your own toiletries soap and shampoo; there is a hair drier.Nice to have a washer & drier available. Kitchen has lots of dishes, pots and pans. Living room has comfortable furniture if you're into movies bring DVD's.You can enjoy sitting on the front porch on rockers & a view of Mt Shasta from the front yard.
Cute house on main thoroughfare. The room with the largest bed is at the front of the house so there’s a little road noise at night, especially with windows open. Yard is not secured for dogs and, if they’re inclined, they can easily jump the low retaining wall and get in the street if not leashed. Floors were dirty, especially in the kitchen. However, the bed was comfortable, kitchen amenities were helpful, and the location was perfect for our daily wanderings and adventures in the area. Great restaurant just a block away!
I’ve stayed three times now. Great location and Roger is very attentive to emails and any issues that need attention. House was nice and warm and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back.
The house was adorable and had everything we needed. It was walking distance to restaurants and close to downtown. We would definitely stay here again!!
Roger was amazing. Answered all my questions and had fast responses. House was just as good. Nice and quiet with the feel of home. Will definitely stay again next trip up here!
We had a wonderful stay there with our friends and our dogs. The location is perfect and walkable to a fabulous grocery store, as well as restaurants, bars and retail shops. The house was a nice size for four people, though there is only one bathroom, so you need to plan a little around shower time, which was not a big deal. The beds are comfy and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies and even a few pantry items and spices. The pans are a little rough, but definitely usable and we enjoyed cooking all of our meals there and eating them in the back yard. Overall, the house is very charming, clean and comfortable. A couple of things to note. There is no secure fenced area at the house, and it is on a busy street. If you have dogs, you will need to keep them on leash for their safety. It is an old house, so it comes with those quirks, such as only a couple outlets in the bedroom and doors that don't close perfectly. The wifi is great, but there is not a dedicated workspace, so if you plan to work remote, you'll be doing that from the dining room, which is open to the living room. We'll definitely be back to Shasta and visit this lovely house again! We had a marvelous time and can't wait to rediscover the beautiful hikes, the great vibes and wonderful hospitality we received by both our host and this scenic town.
We had a fun stay...house location makes it easy to get to town walking. Also coffee shop nearby and fun to sit on the porch and watch what is going on.
The location was perfect, pleanty of parking, clean, and bedrooms were spacious, kitchen was very large. When in Mt. Shasta I will definitely see if this place is available and would recommend to anyone who is looking for location

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Our stay was horrible. We stayed one night and left. The house was dirty and smelled. The bathroom knob was broken and it was hard to get out of the bathroom when the knob came off. Our dog could easily jump over the front fence as it was a 3 ft stone wall. We approached the property owner about a refund but he said we had to go through vrbo. When I went to Vrbo, I couldn’t find a place to cancel. I am so browned off on Vrbo now. We are going to dispute this with our credit card.
