Lovingly restored 7+1 bed / 5 bath and 3 kitchen mansion built in 1887 by one of Kansas city's (then) richest men, J.G. Peppard.

In 2018 MD Homes magnificently restored this opulent Victorian Manor to all of its historic glory. As you step into the J.G. Peppard House, complete with detailed period furniture, you will feel like genuine Victorian aristocracy.

Located in the trendy Westside, this mansion is walking distance to KC's best attractions like
The Kauffman Centre,
Sprint Centre (Put a crew together for the next big concert),
The Convention Centre, and
Party Central at Power and Light.

Some of KC's best restaurants, bars, breakfast joints and shops are just one black away.

We are also perfectly located for KC's best wedding venues in the West Bottoms, Downtown, and Midtown.

The house is built on 3 levels and can be split into three self-contained luxury apartments, one on each level. There is a gorgeous front deck with views of the Kauffman center and downtown and is perfect for enjoying your evening cocktails. A rear deck and plenty of parking is also at your disposal.

A grand Victorian staircase complete with Chandelier greets you in the foyer on the first floor.

A 3 bedroom 2 full bathroom luxury apartment with incredible historic charm will wow you on the first floor. Light the gas fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine during the winter months in the Parlor.

The grand staircase will take you up to another 3 bedroom 2 full bathroom luxury apartment. The open plan kitchen, eating and lounge area showcases a beautiful turret window with views of downtown.

On the third floor (or "Le 3rd Fleur") a beautifully restored 2 bedroom one bathroom apartment finishes off the over 5,700 square feet of living space.

This is Kansas City's premier accommodation for any groups in Kansas City. Whether for weddings, celebrations, or corporate events this is the house to show your family, friends and associates how much you appreciate them.

Best Start to 2024!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house with a large group of family and friends for New Year's weekend. This house is rich with history, yet updated with current amenities to make your stay wonderful!

Family Christmas

We enjoyed our family (18 people, ages 9-85) Christmas here. The house is elegant, accommodations were great! It is definitely a great place to make memories!

Family get together

This is such a beautiful venue! We had ample space for everyone together and for some alone time. The neighborhood has coffee shops and small restaurants that served delicious food! Beds were huge and comfy, all appliances updated, the kitchens well stocked with dishes/utensils, etc You will marvel at the woodwork and the beautiful era pieces. Will definitely book again!!

A great wedding stay was had by all

My family stayed at the Peppard House during the week of our daughter's wedding. There were 11 adults and 5 children, and it suited everyone very well. The house was lovely, and we enjoyed the historical nature of the home. Our grandsons loved running up and down the stairs (they stayed on the 3rd floor). The second floor was perfect for wedding pictures when the girls were getting ready. The extra refrigerators came in handy for all the extra food and drinks. There was a nice little bougie grocery store 6 minutes away which came in handy. Megan was super quick to respond to any questions we had. I would recommend this home to any large group needing a place to stay in the downtown area of Kansas City.

Family Wedding

We had 16 family members, adults and children, staying in the house. There was plenty of room and bedrooms for everyone. We loved the old style of the house and it was fully equipped for our needs. The only complaint we have is the Wifi didn’t work sufficiently and therefore the TV also didn’t work. And unfortunately when the host was messaged about this particular issue, we did not get a response or resolution. All other inquiries to her were answered promptly and efficiently. We would definitely recommend the house and would consider staying there again if we return to the area.
