Ocean-Front Beach Bungalow with Two Bedrooms and a shared Ocean-Front deck

The single-story Bungalow is a charming, quaint & relaxing Ocean-Front unit with white-water views, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 4, with a kitchenette, 55" Smart TV, and "Gigablast" cable internet.

The Bungalow has ocean white water views with no other property between you and the ocean! Watch the waves, surfers, dolphins, whales, boats and gorgeous sunsets (look for a "green flash"). The deck is shared with one other attached unit, which is also available on VRBO. Both units can be rented together for a total of 4 bedrooms (check the calendar for availability).

There is close beach access, down 109 stairs to the beach/beach trail or a quarter-mile drive to North Beach. The pier is a short one-mile walk. There is surfing directly in front of the house ("204s" on surfing maps, other surfing spots are a short drive). Beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and sand toys for children are available for free to our guests.

Disclaimer: There was a hill slide behind the property in early 2023. The property has been cleared by a geological engineer as safe. There is a safety fence, but the pool & spa are non-operational; all photos of the property are current and accurate. Prices have been reduced accordingly. Video camera monitoring the hill. ( absolutely no public space is monitored)

Free parking for one car in the uncovered carport.

The property is completely Non-Smoking, including inside the apartment or on the deck or driveway. Smoking on the property or in the Bungalow will result in a fee of $250.

No pets allowed. $250 fine if a animal is found on the property during your stay. *We keep our units pet free for the future guest and their possible allergy concerns. If a dog is bought to the unit we have to have the carpets clean and the unit complete sanitized so we can offer a pet environment. Which also takes an extra day to prepare again for the next guests. Thus this is why the $250 pet fee is charged.

No gatherings or parties are allowed. The booking guest must be 25 years old to rent the property.

Beautiful view, comfortable stay.

The accommodations were as advertised, comfy beds, nice living space with a good TV. Plenty of beach gear available to borrow, we used chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards for multiple great days at the beach. Easy access to all parts of San Clemente. The view for sunset was excellent! We would definitely stay here again.

Cute little cottage by the sea

The property was clean and a wonderful location! We were there for my son’s wedding. Kim was available anytime I had a question and was very accommodating.Unfortunately, the cliff (in front of a number of properties) gave way awhile back, so we weren’t able to go on the balcony and take advantage of the amazing view. Other than that, it was a great place to stay!

Relaxing getaway

We wanted an ocean view and loved hearing the waves and watching the surfers. We also saw dolphins frolicking in the sea. The sunsets were spectacular! The bungalow was comfy & location very quiet. The on-site manager and owner very personable, friendly & responsive. We had a lovely time.

Perfect for the two of us

This adorable oceanfront bungalow was the perfect size for my husband and I and filled with all the conveniences of home. We loved the oceanfront view and relaxing by the pool. The shared deck was not a problem at all and we enjoyed meeting the guests in the adjoining cottage during our stay. We have stayed in many rentals in San Clemente over the past 15 summers and this one we will be definitely be returning to.

What a View

This place is super peaceful! The walls must be well insulated because you do not hear the noisy neighbors once inside the unit. Even though the landslide took away part of the patio and the pool was covered over. the place is amazing and well worth the stay with close access to the beach and great surfing. I would rent it again. thanks you Kim.

Great Location.

Everything we were hoping for as far as location. Beach was hard to get to due to environmental issues. No fault of the owner. The unit itself was worn and was lacking in detail cleaning. Bath tub area needed attention.

Very Homey

We had a lovely stay the view was nice and hearing the ocean waves at night were very calming. The home is Vintage but it’s very homey. One of the beds is very hard and the other is soft. If all else fails the couches are loungers and very comfy to sleep in plus you can hear the ocean. We stayed 2 days so we had everything we needed clean towels and bedding extra pillows and a fridge and microwave. Though I would was the dishes before you use them , your supposed to wash them yourself after you use them but the people before us must be use to a dishwasher because i found food on The plates but with a little dawn soap and hot water that was fixed. Communication with the owner about the rental was excellent and i usually received an answer back very quickly.

Somethings were out of the host's control

This was my first time using a VRBO. With 2 teenagers, i wanted to have more space than a traditional hotel. I selected this one as it seemed reasonably priced. The host responded promptly to messages. I was very excited about the close beach access; however upon arrival, there was no beach access. As indicated, it is an older vintage property, which was apparent. With the cleaning fee charged, i had higher expectations: food in the throw rug and under the edges of the couches and diety dishes in the cabinets/drawers. I am torn on revisiting a VRBO. I could spend the same money and get a nicer hotel.

Sorry the beach and trail access wwre closed during your stay. The city closed them for repairs. Out of my control. They have been reopened now. As to cleaning….. guess a few things were missed. So sorry. Cleaners are only people they aren’t perfect although I like them to be too. I hope you give vrbo another try.

We rented both sides of the property, so had lots of privacy and space. Could also work easily with other folks next door...like a very, very small hotel : ) Fabulous ocean views, beautiful pool and hot tub, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating.

Awesome retreat at the beach

We rented both units on the property so keep that in mind when reading this review - the outdoor area was fantastic! Plenty of room and the view never got old. Pool was perfect. The beds were comfortable and great for 2 couples or 2 adults, one teen. Kitchenette was just that - microwave, toaster and small fridge - don't expect to do any cooking. We had the other unit so this was not an issue. Kim was a super host and very responsive. On-site manager also checked in with us a few times to make sure our stay was going well. Would definitely stay here again.

The view is amazing and the location is great. Love the outdoor deck setting with the pool and hot tub. Be aware that it is a shared area with another unit. Inside could use a good clean and not much of a kitchen. Mini fridge and no stove.

Great view

Nice quiet neighborhood. The pool deck is what this place is all about. It is amazing. You can sit or lounge in sun or shade, swim or enjoy the spa. Cook dinner and of course just enjoy the view. The sunset view each night was awesome. If you just want to get away and relax, this is the place!

Fabulous location with an amazing deck/views. Enjoyed coffee every morning watching the waves and surfers. Staircase down to a fabulous walking path. The unit is basic (mini fridge, hot plate, toaster oven) so keep that in mind if you plan on cooking. Not that you need to...lots of great restaurants nearby. Kim was great to deal with. Very responsive and very quick to respond. Can't beat the views.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway

The view, location and pool were beyond my expectations. The trail along the beach was incredibly beautiful. It was a perfect place for a short getaway. Cute bungalow with a beautiful but shared pool deck. We got lucky - the other unit also had a girlfriend weekend group and we all had a great time chilling on the deck.
