If great views and lots of privacy are on your priority list for your Caribbean vacation, then you'll be pleased with Reef Madness ~ a gem located at the very top of Seagrape Hill in Coral Bay.

This two-bedroom villa is perfect for honeymooners or couples traveling together who want to relax, recharge, and enjoy the sights of St. John.

While heading into town for dining, shopping, and more is certainly acceptable, you'll find that the villa itself has just about everything you need for an ideal getaway.

This open-style home is fitted with comfortable furnishings, plenty of seating inside and out, air conditioning, an infinity edge pool with running waterfall, and a new backup battery Tesla Powerwall for power outages. The Great Room features a flat panel TV, Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances, beautiful wood dining room table, and a cozy leather couch. Couples, Honeymooners, and Families will enjoy the many amenities offered at Reef Madness.

Each of the two master suites have plenty of space and include a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, a huge walk-in shower with a view, air-conditioning, and a flat screen TV in an armoire. The poolside bedroom suite has a king bed with a leather headboard and an ornately carved bed frame and dresser.

Reef Madness offers amazing panoramic views from every room and was truly constructed with couples in mind. The covered decks design ensures trade wind breezes and sun as well as shade all day long.

Staying in this house was like living in a work of art. It was a very warm and inviting home away from home. The flowers and landscaping were beautiful, and hummingbird sightings were frequent. Antares management resolved any issues we had, and they were wonderful for rescheduling our trip due to covid last year.

Amazing Villa

We truly enjoyed our stay at Reef Madness. The accomdations were clean and it was located perfectly for our daily excursions. This side of the island is nice and quiet but still has access to food, bars and restaurants. We loved all the wild life, especially the neighborhood goats. It was an adventure getting up the driveway everyday! The house was more beautiful than the pictures.

Coral bay is a nice quiet side of St John’s. Local restaurants have been excellent for casual Island Lunches. Reef Madness has everything you need for a relaxing vacation! Well stocked with kitchen equipment and updated . appliances.Comfortable beds and sofa to relax on.Bedding, bath room towels all good quality. Enjoyed the music sound system throughout the house and on the pool patio. Infinity pool was a great view over the bay. Highly recommend to meet with the management team so they can show you how to find and navigate the driveway to the home. We would definitely stay here again.

An incredible property, very clean, beautiful, breathtaking view, and well equipped with all you need for a fabulous vacation. Kitchen had everything imaginable and there were also beach chairs, pool noodles, and other floats for both the beach and the pool. Our family had an incredible time. The solar backup power was a lifesaver when several power outages occurred throughout the week. The drive up to the house is an adventure and you should never attempt it without a Jeep or other 4 wheel drive vehicle.

This was our first time staying on St. John. Most of our time at the villa was spent outside because the views were just spectacular. We used the pool just about every day and the water temperature was perfect. The inside was very clean, the kitchen had just about everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. A few things that would have made our stay even better: 1) A working ice maker. We had to purchase ice several times during the week. 2) A workable door leading to the pool. I've lost track of how many times I've been to St. John. Over 20 times now. We've stayed in various locations and all types of lodging. Reef Madness is my new all time favorite. The sunrises were spectacular and I never got tired of the view. Best stocked kitchen I've ever seen and large comfy king beds. AC in bedrooms and washer and dryer. Communication with Property Manager was outstanding. Hate to recommend it because I'm afraid it will be booked when I want to come back, but they deserve it.

Reef Madness is a very special place. Perched high above Coral Bay, it offers amazing views day and night. The infinity pool is awesome and we spent most of our time on the porch deck or in the pool....it was fabulous. The rooms are beautiful and perfectly decorated. This is a Coral Bay Gem!

The house was outstanding, and we loved everything about it. It was cool to be on top of the hill and from most anywhere in Coral Bay you could spot the house! The bedrooms are huge and comfortable. The living room/kitchen is not directly attached to the bedrooms, so noise from people staying up late or going to bed early isn't a problem. The infinity pool was icing on the cake. We even had a Personal Chef come and cook a 5 course meal from this property with ease. He has been there many times because the owners have used him. (just a shout out to Ted's Supper Club! We will be back and we will absolutely rent this house again!

Heaven on Earth!!

As great as the pictures are, the real thing is even better! We loved everything about this place. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could think of and especially loved the drinks fridge. The pool was a dream and the views were something I will never forget. The management team were amazing - attentive and responsive when we needed anything. We loved being in Coral Bay. It is cute and quiet with enough services with great access to beautiful beaches. Miss Lucy’s jazz brunch on Sunday was a total treat. We also loved feeding the banankeets and getting our exercise going down and back up that hill. All in all, we felt so lucky to spend nine days in this beautiful place during an otherwise disastrous 2020. We would love to come back!! Absolute Paradise!

We have stayed at many rentals and this one ranks as our all-time favorite! The place is exactly as represented. Antares does a great job of communicating and answering any questions leading up to and during your stay. True professionals! We also used Landlubber Logistics to pick up and stock our provisions at the house prior to arrival, which was a huge benefit. The pool is stunning and our favorite activity at the house was just sitting at pool's edge and gaping at the incredible views, which change from morning until night and are never exactly the same. Often birds and the occasional iguana join you by the pool (all were friendly). Both bedrooms are very comfortable, though there is a slight musty smell in the lower (full disclosure). Our only other issue was several of the cooking pans could be replaced, as they are worn, but we did just fine and cooked and grilled several meals there. We throroughly enjoyed Reef Madness, please don't be discouraged by these two small comments for improvement! There is much discussion in reviews about the driveway and it is a bit challenging the first time up (in the dark), but actually got to be something I had fun with in our 4WD Jeep and looked forward to climbing! Thank you for sharing Reef Madness with us, we would love to return! One side note, if you have a choice, consider an airline with a better record than JetBlue.They stranded us in Puerto Rico on our trip home - a LONG travel day (40 hrs) and $1800+ in new flight costs.

3rd time the charm

Originally another couple , my wife, and I scheduled our vacation at Reef Madness for May 2020. We had to postpone due to the pandemic. We rescheduled to December of 2020, but once again postponed because of the pandemic. We rescheduled to May 4-13 , 2021. The owner and Antares worked with us through all the rescheduling with out any additional costs. Antares was very helpful in providing all the information on Covid testing requirements and the travel portal required by USVI . They also provided detailed information about the property and St. John. They were very receptive to all my phone calls and questions. Reef Madness is a beautiful villa with all the amenities. The view of Coral Bay is amazing. The villa is located at the top of Seagrape hill. The road and driveway leading up to the villa is steep and an adventure. I would recommend an AWD vehicle. Being located on the top of the hill allows for a nice constant breeze. We spent all of our time on the outside patio including all meals. The pool water is tepid , but refreshing. Doves, banana quips, and kingfishers visited us all day. The villa has a unique sound system you can connect to your iPhone and play your own music. We did have a water pressure problem in the 2nd floor master bathroom. The water filter had to be changed and it was fine. The villa supplies beach chairs, noodles, and coolers. We would highly recommend staying at Reef Madness and working with the Antares property managers.

Best Place in Coral Bay!

Once we checked into the property things were amazing! The setup of the rooms separate of the main living area is absolutely perfect for two couples. We spent most all of our time while at the rental outside- either in the pool or at the table just enjoying the view and chatting. The view is better than any photo could convey. And staying in Coral Bay was a more laid back, relaxed vibe- which we loved. Plenty of restaurants around and the beautiful beaches are within 20ish min drive Property has everything you need for beach days- cooler, comfy chairs and snorkel gear. We ordered groceries and they were delivered and fridge was stocked upon our arrival. We used the company Antares suggested. The road getting to the property is no joke- but as long as you’re prepared for it, you’ll be fine. The only real negative was our check in experience. We arrived early and knew check in wasn’t until 4. The property manager (? I assume that’s who it was) text to say she saw our flights had arrived early. I told her we stopped in Cruz Bay to eat since it was early. She said she would her to “Hurry us along, or delay us” to show us around. We weren’t ever told to be there at a specific time… Then we met her at the bottom of the hill leading to the property, and it was just an awkward, unpleasant interaction. It would be a 5++ star experience if there was a way to avoid having to meet someone for check in (on their terms/time). Other texts and check ins from Antares were all really friendly, and since it was such a short interaction we just let it go and enjoyed every other minute of our stay!
