About this property
Stay in a Treehouse Escape at Lake Catherine / Fire Pit + Lake Toys + Privacy
A unique getaway awaits on this private 40-acre treehouse retreat on Lake Catherine, with over 2,000 feet of shoreline, wooded trails, creeks, and plenty of space to explore. Whether you’re looking for adventure or just a quiet place to relax, this property offers both.
Spend your days kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Lake toys are provided March through November. Around the property you’ll find picnic areas, fire pits, hammocks, and quiet spots to sit and take it all in. Wildlife is part of the experience—deer, birds, and even bald eagles are regularly seen.
The treehouse is designed to feel comfortable and relaxing. It includes a king bedroom, plus a loft with a queen bed and two twins. The full bathroom is stocked with towels, soap, and shampoo. The kitchen has everything you need, including a refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, drip coffee maker, griddle, convection toaster oven with air fryer, and hot plates.
Inside, the vaulted ceilings and shiplap walls give the space a light, open feel. The home is fully heated and air-conditioned and includes an all-season fireplace.
Outside, the wraparound deck offers plenty of seating along with a porch swing—perfect for morning coffee or just enjoying the wooded views. A charcoal grill and picnic area are just steps away.
The property itself is full of things to explore, from trails and shoreline to “Big Pine Point,” home to one of the largest pine trees in the state. In season, you can also enjoy wild blackberries, blueberries, and muscadines.
Additional amenities include a boat dock (feel free to bring your boat), life jackets, beach towels, indoor and outdoor games, books, movies, and TVs in both the living area and bedroom. Firewood is also provided.
There is no Wi-Fi at the treehouse. We like to think of it as a chance to unplug and enjoy your surroundings. Cell service is strong, and hotspots work if needed.
Please note:
Children must be 5 years or older due to the open loft and elevated deck Roads and driveways were updated in November 2025 and are now easier to navigate Lake levels are lowered each year from November through March 15 due to winter drawdown Traveling with younger children? Everything was just as listed and pictured. Mark & Lori answered all questions quickly and were very friendly and easy to work with. Property is beautiful and very peaceful. Enjoyed being on-site and unplugging. 10-15 min drive to stores & shops.

Stopped for two nights on a long road trip with 4 adults. This was the perfect quiet spot to relax away from the highway. Everything was clean, plenty of good seating and sleeping options for all of us, great AC and fans, a lovely deck to sit on and enjoy being remote, and everything we needed was provided as advertised. Mark & Lori were very responsive to my questions, and provided excellent directions and instructions. The bonus perk was getting to take a peddle boat and kayaks out onto the lake! Very relaxing and fun experience. And it’s an easy drive to the main strip of Hot Springs, which is worth a visit.Definitely recommend stopping here to unplug if you’re in the area.

One of our favorite mountain stays to date! Property was extremely well kept and everything we needed was provided! Our kids LOVED sleeping up in the loft and getting to climb up the ladder. Was great to be able to go down to the lake and have life jackets, paddle boats and kayaks provided at no addt cost. Great location to all the local attractions as well! Highly recommend!!

The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel right at home. While the location was close to Hot Springs, it truly felt peacefully remote and removed from the world in the best way. Every detail—the spring water, coffee, games, lake toys and life jackets—made it clear that the hosts truly care about their guests’ experience. It struck the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. While it wasn’t a major issue for our stay, if there was one downside it would be the lack of ability to do laundry. Overall great place to stay!

That's so kind, we really appreciate your review. We hope you can stay again next time you are in town!

The place is so peaceful! A chance to connect with nature, and yet not far from site seeing adventures. Trails, boats, games and the quiet part of the lake was great. Even enjoyed getting a good leg workout on the huge hill to get to the water, although you could also drive if you wanted. The other cabin on the property is nearby and shares access to kayaks, paddle boat and boards but there were so many options it wasn't a concern.Mark and Lisa always replied promptly and are so kind! Loved the treat and water!

We loved hosting you and your family! Thanks for the kind review.

Very clean property, great for relaxing, water toys were fantastic! My only suggestion would be to revise the description to make sure it is well known there is only a kitchenette without a full size stove so renters are prepared. We didn’t plan to go into town at all during our stay and the food we brought to prepare presented a challenge and took a lot more time and effort to cook.
The house was immaculate. The Hot Springs water in the fridge was an awesome touch. The heat in the bathroom was so nice on the cold mornings. We loved listening to all the sounds of nature in the morning and at night. Enjoyed the trails, paddleboards and kayaks. It was so great to have that access! The mattresses were comfortable. We wish we knew the brand . Had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

The property was adorable and perfectly situated to catch the sun through all the windows that face an amazing view. This place has every amenity you need for a simple trip to enjoy nature and the town. I will definitely return the next time Hot Springs is my destination.

Thank you for the nice review. We would love to host you again.

The property was amazing! We went paddle boarding one morning and explored the trails. It was so nice to feel secluded from everything but a short drive to town! We will definitely be back!
Our “treehouse” was amazing! Loved the secluded spot. Felt like we were in the woods by ourselves! The property was super clean and had everything we needed! The hosts were great. Super responsive and friendly! Would highly recommend this place for some quiet, family time. Also close to downtown Hot Springs if you want some entertainment outside of the cabin itself!
