While attending a family gathering nearby, a few of us who have known each other for many years stayed at this property. It was the perfect way to go... Beautiful quiet location, well featured and convenient to the local area. Exactly what we wanted.
Great morning sun... great view. Clean and very comfortable. Communication with property manager was prompt and professional.
Kitchen had a few left-over groceries and supplies in the cabinets and frig... not really a problem but not ideal. Key box location needs to be updated... Again not a major problem but not 100% perfect.
Overall, very pleased.
We enjoyed this quaint and cozy house very much. The great views and the amenities made for a peaceful stay. It was a seamless check in and the place was as described. We loved it and would stay there again.
This is mine and my husbands favorite fall time Anniversary trip location! Another great stay, great communication, great vaca! Thank you for renting to us again!
This was our second time at this wonderful cabin. Tom is great at communicating, prompt responses and instructions. We love going there in the fall, as you couldn’t ask for a more amazing view from the deck. When looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway, where we can take in the nature, this place doesn’t disappoint. Hope to be back soon!
We spent two pandemic winter weeks at this cozy A frame cabin a short two hours from NYC. The cabin’s spaciousness, wood stove, and hot tub made for an incredible and warming break.
The hosts were communicative, the cabin was clean, and the kitchen well stocked. The only downside was the lack of WiFi, but using a hotspot worked well enough. Would certainly stay here again.
Great cabin. Clean, beautiful design, excellent kitchen, breathtaking view. And a surprise for those who play the piano...a Steinway grand piano! This is the perfect get-a-way, but also near great little towns - Callicoon, Livingston Manor, and others. This is an A++ property.
This is our 2nd time staying at this location for our Anniversary! The house is amazing, very quiet area, enjoyed the hot tub, view/area. This is definitely the spot if you are looking for a relaxing place to go for a long weekend! Thank you again Tom and Melinda!
We absolutely loved our stay at Tom & Melinda’s beautiful property. It was exactly what we needed in order to get away from the hustle & bustle. All was as advertised. Communication was great. The house was clean and well-stocked. We cooked on the grill every night and took in the views from the deck. The hot tub was such a great amenity, especially on chilly nights. Truly a relaxing experience. We would definitely return to this wonderful piece of heaven!
Thanks Tom & Melinda!
We spent a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing week at the house. The view from the deck is fantastic. We used the grill every night and ate every meal out on the deck. Lots of comfy places to curl up with a book. Disappointed that we couldn't swim in Lake Superior due to Covid, but evenings in the hot tub were great! Just the kind of relaxing week away from the city that we were hoping for!
Gorgeous view! Terrific kitchen. Great birdwatching.
We loved our stay. It is a small but beautifully situated house, high on a hill, far from neighbors. The kitchen, bathrooms, and hot tub were immaculately clean. The windows all had new screens. The basement area feels more cold and dark (and kinda cobwebby) rec room than cozy sleeping area--I guess think of it as glamping? :-) Our daughter chose to sleep on the couch in the upstairs loft, with its homey wood paneling. No microwave but the toaster oven is a fancy confection oven that heats up in seconds and doesn't heat up the kitchen. Bring an extra towel or two for the hot tub. The pond was inaccessible, as the path down to it hadn't been cleared, but the garden was lovely and provided fresh vegetables!
The cabin is a beautiful structure, on a vast piece of land overlooking lovely scenery and attracting beautiful birds. It’s a great place to get off the grid. We loved the wood stove albeit it cannot be used when windy. We learned the hard way. Bed on main floor was too soft for us. Internet connection worked well. Kitchen is well stocked and easy to make meals in. Shower was nice.Peaks market is a 5 to 10 minute drive for everything you need. Overall a lovely no frills place to stay.
This has been our favorite property by far! We went up to relax for a few days and that's all we did. It was amazingly beautiful day and night there, very very quiet. And the hot tub...so amazing. The owners were amazing and fast with answering any emails. We will be back next year in October again!
A beautiful place to recharge from the hectic city life. The property is beautiful and quiet and the house, well appointed and comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub, loft, and games!
Great place to experience the outdoors while enjoying all the amenities of a gas grill, hot tub, fireplace, and more! We had a great time cooking and eating on the balcony while watching the sunset. Highly recommend!
