This listing is for a condo at The Summit Beach Resort, it's located right along the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches and within walking distance to great restaurants, a golf course, and other family attractions. The Summit Beach Resort offers guests onsite amenities such as two large swimming pools, Summit Tiki Bar, Summit Market, Bikini Bob’s Restaurant, hot tubs, picnic areas with grills, tennis courts, a basketball court, three shuffleboard courts, and a fitness center. During the Summer, kids can enjoy Resort Collection’s Adventure Zone activities onsite, including fan favorite Dive-In Movies on the pool deck at dusk. Each suite is fully furnished, providing all the comforts of home. The Summit is one of the biggest resorts and offers some of the best values on the beach.

These condos have three separate sleeping areas, Master Bedroom, Bunk Room Area with a door to the living room area, and the living area where the pull out couch is located. The view is absolutely breathtaking. There is a king bed in the Master, a queen sofa sleeper in the living room and twin size bunk beds in the hall bunk room area. The unit sleeps 6 people very comfortably.

College Spring Break Village is on our beach! Next to Spinnaker Beach Club and Club LaVela Hammerhead Fred's Famous Tent Party is across the Street. The Summit Tiki Bar is by the pool and Bikini Bob's Beach Restaurant and The Summit Snack Shack and Convenience Store are on site.

This was the best girls trip I’ve had in a while!!! 8th floor had such an amazing view! This room did come with a washer and dryer - which was nice keeping clothing washed.Don’t trust your weather app either - lol!!

There was so much to do on the property itself. You really could stay there the whole time, two gorgeous pools, two hot tubs outside, one inside. Restaurant with normal fare...hot dogs, burgers etc..a tiki bar onsite!

View, pool and beach were good. Room was unclean, musty and in rough shape. Gentlemen's Club acroos the street open until 4:00AM, music from Hammerhead Fred's (across the street) shook the walls of our bedroom, shootings at Longboards (next to Hammerhead Fred's) kind of wigged us out, so we left one week early. Left a lot of $$ on the table but we were very uncomfortable. Never again.

4 hours before check in were notified that the couch would be getting professionally cleaned the following day. Inconvenient yes, but not a deal breaker. What we should have been notified of was that both of the toilets were leaking and had to be replaced, which is what we found after walking into the unit. It was extremely hard to get ahold of anyone at Emerald Coast Destinations to figure out when we could check in or if we needed to be moved to a different room. After the fact, the second toilet still didn’t work properly. The floors felt dirty so I used a washcloth with soap and water which came up black. Just about every dish we got out of the cabinets/drawers were dirty. I believe the dishwasher wasn’t ran from the previous guests and the dishes were put away dirty. Upon further investigation of the couch, what looked like blood was stained all over it. The cleaner came the next day and the couch was wet for the next day and a half. But that didn’t matter anyways because the living room tv didn’t work either. The morning we left we saw cockroaches. The good parts of the condo: The view is amazing, we spent most of the time on the balcony. The unit came with beach chairs/umbrella which was nice. The bed was really comfortable:

The blankets for the twin beds were all stained up. There were holes in the wall above the back door where the curtain rod is. The middle of the curtain rod was hanging off the wall and wouldn’t close completely. There was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathtub was filthy. There was rust on the outside of the refrigerator. Pictures were literally missing from the walls. We were told the company would move us to another building on the second day. We were told they would clean the new room at 9am. We didn’t get into the new room until 4pm. The new room was at The Boardwalk; much, much nicer!

The Summit is great.. this room not so much.

I’m typically not the customer/renter to complain. Usually when we vacation we mostly just care about being on vacation and don’t spend a ton of time inside the room. But I had to take notes of all the disappointment and uncleanliness of the room. The Summit is perfect for adults that are looking for a good time and I personally have stayed before. I knew coming back years later even before it was a little outdated but the amenities are just so great. And you pay heavily for the fancy places. Anyways, the biggest concern overall- MOLD on the ceiling above shower in the bathroom and on the ceiling in the kitchen. I tried to call on the first day to notify this and couldn’t get in contact with the owner because its a company. There is a heavy cleaning fee and the floors are not mopped & swept well. Also there was a whole missing back lid to the toilet which was not pretty to look at the whole time. Come to find out we found it under the sink in pieces.. Outlet covers on the floor in master bedroom. Good thing we don’t have little ones. Baking sheets have so much rust on them I washed them before using with dish soap heavily, after clean the paper towel still kept picking up orange rust so we had to buy foil to use them to cook on.. Washer sometimes wouldn’t start and reeks of mildew. The dryer took days to dry a few towels.. We are easy going people & just enjoy being at the beach. And really once you’re there what are they going to do come fix ALL these issues? No. So we just enjoyed what we had and we will be back to the Summit which we love but wont be returning to room 813 unless some major deep cleaning happens. But do not let this room steer you from the summit. The resort itself is an amazing time. Check out Alisha & Diana at the bar at bikini bobs. They will make your day!

NO SHOWER DOOR

When we first arrived we went to the balcony and the door wouldn't open. My husband kept trying until he finally got it open. Then when we went to close it it wouldn't close. I call the people that we rented from. They said they would have someone out right away since we couldn't close it. Nothing! No one showed up to fix the door. My husband finally got it closed. My daughter found roaches in the kitchen. We have never seen roaches there before. Everything was fine until my husband went to take a shower. There was only one shower door. I called the people again. They said they would have someone out right away. We waited and no one came until 2 days later. The guy said he was there measuring the door but he had no idea what he was doing. So we figured if the owner didn't care if the floor got wet then why should we. We had to take a shower!! We did the best we could to keep water from spraying out on the floor. We have never had problems like this before. Yes it could have been cleaner but I usually clean when we come in anyway. In spite of all these things we still had a great time. We were on the beach!! We will be returning just hope everything is fixed next year!!

If you like mold and roaches this is the place for you. Comes with a wonderful mildew smell with mold on the ceilings, and a grand prize of baby roaches squirming everywhere, just so you can bring them home to enjoy. This place was not good

Bugs

Got there and the back door to balcony didn’t work. After 2 days someone came up and fixed it. Then after being there for the first 3 days, we started seeing bugs on the countertops, stove, inside dishwasher, and of course on the floor. Come to find out they were cockroaches. Went and bought my own bug spray to try and take care of it cause I have a 17month old with me and with toys laying around and then having went tot he grocery made me really concern about feeding my baby anything that I had there cause they were on the counters and floor. Buy the time we left on 7/30, started seeing more baby ones. It was disgusting. I’ve stayed at The Summit several times in the past and this was the first time I had to encounter something like this and couldn’t get nothing done about it. VERY dissatisfied and not even sure if I’d stay here again!

When I go to the beach/ocean, I love that the vibe of the condo is “beachy”- colors, fabrics, decor and 813 was just that. And the condo was clean and neat. Plenty of space for our family of 3. And the television (Roku) was great. When we weren’t at the beach we enjoyed movies and sports (baseball Homerun Derby & All-Star game). Only disappointment with the condo unit was the sliding glass door to the balcony wouldn’t stay on track and we had to fuss with it to open and close it. And it would have been nice if there were more toilet paper and some dishwasher pods.And we loved the pools (8’ deep). Umbrella and chair rental guys were great too! We spent much of our beach time under the umbrella. Thank you! We’d definitely consider renting again.

😡Room 813 is NASTY😡

They room was very dirty, the toilets looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. IT ALSO HAS ROACHES. I emailed the host and was told someone would come spray and no one ever came. I spent several nights up cleaning and spraying for bugs with stuff I purchased my self. I had to keep covers on the couch cause it is so dirty. The owner really needs to invest in updating the room and finding some new cleaners. I would be embarrassed to rent this place out. I will never rent this room again and I’d advise no one else to either! The Elevators at this resort were constantly broke down, one were only given one parking pass in a room with two families.

Counters were sticky and needed cleaned. Roaches came out from under appliances if you turned off the kitchen light. One shower door missing and shower curtain in it’s place. Faucet in shower broken and wouldn’t shut off. Black mold on shower tiles and ceiling because there is no working exhaust fan. We made the best of the situation by spending as much time away from the condo as possible. We will never stay here again, this is the worst condo we have ever booked through VRBO.

Just find something else.

We have stayed at the summit twice now because it was cheaper and available. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for. The location of this condo is nice. Close to everything. However..... you can tell that the staff really does not care about your stay or that you just spent all that money to be with them. The only really positive note about this property is that the pools are nice and Bikini Bobs is the best. If you have small children that you don't want to be around weed right there by the pool, this isn't the place for you. In this room there were unwashed sheets stains on the walls and roaches. The shower was a joke. Its broke and by the looks of how they tried to "make it work" they do not plan on fixing this issue. There is mold on the ceilings and shower area. Dishes were clean but left in the dishwasher for us to put away. There was a dirty Keurig to use. If you do take the plung to stay, be sure to bring shoes to wear around the condo. Our feet were ssssooooo black just walking from one room to another. If you think you'll get a hold of anyone to fix these issues good luck because no one responded to calls,messages,or emails. We did make the best of this and if you dare stay maybe you can too. Good luck and happy vacationing.

I would definitely come back

This condo was very cute! Perfect location! Amenities were outstanding. The only issue I had was the mold in the bathroom, bathroom exhaust fans don’t work. The whole bathroom situation was a disaster. If they would improve the shower door, the fans, the sliding door from one bathroom to the other, and maybe explain that in the details…. It wouldn’t be so bad. I would definitely bring my family back
