Black Bear Cozy Cabin is a 2 bedroom 1 bath rancher 1/2 a block from Lake Harmony. It is dog friendly so you don’t have to leave your beloved pet at home. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee on this quiet street while enjoying the deer strolling by from the large decks. You will enjoy plenty of parking and an easy stroll down to the lake. Your stroll will take you to the public kayak boat launch/ swimming / fishing area of Lake Harmony. Bring our provided kayaks, your fishing poles and provided tubes and enjoy the water. We are sure you will enjoy being within walking distance to all the restaurants and Split Rock Resort. Nicks Lake House, Shenanigans, Piggies, and Terra Cottage are maybe 3 tenths of a mile up the road to your right. This Ranch features hard wood floors throughout and a cozy cabin decor. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a queen and 1 set of bunk beds for all your other guests. The living room features a stone fireplace and a 52 inch ROKU TV. The living room is open to the eat in kitchen area allowing a great flow for your visit. Total sleep space is 6. There is an air conditioning for hot summer days and forced hot air heat for the winter. This cozy cabin is perfect for seasonal, weekly or just weekend renting. Discounts apply the longer you stay. If you like skiing or snow boarding, you will enjoy Big boulder Ski resort just a mile away and Jack Frost Ski Resort just 2 miles away. If you are a Race Fan, The tricky triangle track is about 10 minutes away. We provide kayaks, one double and two children kayaks. The back deck and yard boasts a gas grill and a fire pit for your enjoyment. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, There is always something going on between Lake Harmony and Split Rock Resort. Wine Fest, Cigar Fest, Ski Season, Summer Lake fun and hiking. If you want to swim, I recommend Hickory Run State Park’s beach just 10 miles away. We love live music so Penns Peak is one of our favorite venues. Check out which bands are in the area during your stay. If you want a great place to go for New Years Eve, this is the spot. Memories await you at this lovely perfectly located home. Rent the whole ski season or just a weekend. All the fun just a few blocks from your front door. Enjoy!

We loved our stay in the cozy cabin! The deer were so sweet and the home had everything we needed. Lisa supplied lots of nice towels, and the front deck is great for relaxing! It’s a lovely place to stay!

This home was very clean and had everything we could have needed. So cozy inside and out! The firepit out back and the fireplace inside added to the cozy cabin ambiance. We could see the lake from the living room, and the neighborhood deer kept us company all weekend. A real highlight of our weekend!We were about 25 minutes from Jim Thorpe, 10 minutes from Hickory Run State Park and about 30 minutes from Lehigh Gorge state park. Lots of restaurants close by. We had a blast, thank you, and we hope to come visit again!

What a great property!! The cabin was fully equipped and included many special touches. The location was fantastic and proximity to various activities was wonderful. Hosts were communicative and check in was a breeze. Cannot recommend this place enough and hope to return again next year.

Wonderful Stay!

We did a camping weekend for my friends birthday and this place was everything we could’ve asked for. Between the quaint backyard and the lake itself, I don’t know which we enjoyed more. Lisa was so accommodating and helpful and the house is absolutely beautiful! It’s in a beautiful location and not too far from the Poconos as well.

Clean comfortable cottage in a great location.

Lisa’s place was exactly what we needed. Home was spotless when we arrived. Easy check in was a plus. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us. Would absolutely recommend her home to a small family that wants to be right near Big boulder and close to Jack Frost. Look for to staying here again.

Lake Harmony vacation

We had a nice time in Lake Harmony. The house and location were great. The only slight disappointment were all of the motor boats and jet skis in Lake Harmony on Saturday when we went kayaking. But, otherwise great stay!

My family (including our dogs!) had the best weekend in the house. It was exactly as described and fit our needs perfectly. We wanted to get away and unplug and were able to do that easily. Perfect long weekend getaway

From pre-booking to checkout the communication with Lisa was great. The property was just as described and pictured. It was the perfect location just a short walk to the lake, and just a short distance to multiple restaurants and local attractions. Also for those who love nature, this was a peaceful location and there were many deer making their way past the house on the street. Overall it was a perfect long weekend getaway!

Great mini vacation

My family and I loved staying at the cozy cabin and Lisa was such a great host. We have stayed in Lake Harmony multiple times and this house is our absolute favorite. Lisa goes out of her way to make the stay fun and comfortable. Stockings and santa hats were there for the kids to decorate, the bottle if wine was great and the house is well equipped. Dogs are welcome for a small pet fee which made it that much better. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to return in the future.

Cozy cabin

Very clean, enough space and dishes/silverware for us. Lots of deer on property in the morning and evenings, chipmunks galore. Only thing missing was the double kayak that was in the listing.

Lake Harmony is a wonderful destination during every season. My parents and brother have houses here as well. We love the fact that it is just a short drive to weekend getaways. Ski season is a blast with all the lively nightly entertainment at Nicks, Shenanigans, Boulder view and of course Jack Frost. Summer fun out on the lake, dining and dancing out doors at Nicks or Boulder view are my favorites. Spring and Fall are quieter, less crowds, and crisp air, which means fire pits, deck dining and hiking. This property is located on the first street off of Wood Drive, lakeview Drive. The kayak, swimming and fishing area is right at the end of our short block. We love to fish, kayak and we love our fire pit. We think you will totally enjoy this property and the families around it.

Why they chose this property

This property is perfectly located for walking distance to everything.
Great front and back decks, fire pit and gas grill. Perfect location for walking to the restaurants on Lake Harmony and even in Split Rock Resort. No worry about drinking and driving when you can walk. The fact that the lake is right there makes it so perfect for bringing your kayak to the public boat launch just a short walk from the house.

What makes this property unique

If you love fun and adventure, Lake Harmony has it all. Split Rock Resort is not even a quarter mile from the house. They host the Pennsylvania Wine Fest every June. They have an indoor water park the kids will love, not to mention the movie theater, bowling alley, miniature golf, and arcades for rainy days. In November they host the Beer Fest weekend. If you are a racing fan there is the Pocono tricky triangle. If you like gambeling or horse races you can always drive 15 miles to either Mount Airy Casino Resort and Mohegan Sun Pocono. A few more miles from Mount Airy there is a Live Rodeo in the summer months that the kids will truly love. My Pocono favorite is Penns Peak, we love live music and this venue is looking over the mountains. What a view. It is only 15 minutes from our house and just 5 minutes further is the quaint town of Jim Thorpe. You can't go wrong staying in the Pocono Lake Harmony area. Hiking, Waterfalls, Music, Shopping, Lakes, Fishing, Racing, biking, Kayaking, Paint ball and white water rafting. All within minutes from the front door.
