Walk through a charming garden and past a seasonal pond to your private entrance—welcome to your relaxing home away from home. This bright, fully furnished 995 sq. ft. studio is surrounded by nature sounds and family-friendly fun, offering the perfect blend of comfort and tranquility.

Step outside to the patio where you can grill, unwind by the firepit, or read under the trees while taking in colorful views of Pikes Peak.

Inside, you’ll find a cozy queen sleigh bed, dresser, and closet in the private bedroom. The living area offers space for an additional guest with an air mattress rental option. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower for convenience.

The studio kitchenette is equipped with everything you need for simple meals:

* 2-burner electric plate, microwave, convection countertop oven, toaster, fridge, sink, and coffee maker
* Plastic and disposable dishware, plus basic cooking and eating utensils

Pet Friendly: Small dogs under 40 lbs. are welcome w/ proof of current license and updated shot records sent prior to arrival (with restrictions). They must be friendly with children and other pets, and crated if left alone. No other pets allowed.
Private Entrance: Access is through the lower-level walk-out sliding glass door. The walkway is man-made and may be tricky in inclement weather, so guests should be steady on their feet. This entrance is not suitable for walkers or other mobility aids.
Extras: Optional hot tub use (instructions provided). Seasonal pond nearby. Our sweet Border Collie, **Mollie Girl**, is the official *Master Greeter*. She may bark hello at first but will quickly settle into her own routine.

This low-key, quiet, and safe getaway offers everything you need to rest, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Colorado.

Had a fantastic time at the house. Property was beautiful and we loved Molly! Kelley had great local recommendations and the ballon lift off was awesome. Host was communicative and supplied everything and then some.

Perfect as described

The little apartment was even better than described. Kelley was communicative, friendly, and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed and welcomed our dogs. It was cozy, comfortable, and warm (especially as it snowed while we were there.) This was our first experience staying somewhere other than a hotel and because of Kelley and how she took care of us, we will do it again--and definitely stay here again. Thank you Kelley!! :-)

Disappointing

Upon arrival, it was confusing as to where to park in this residential neighborhood. A boat and her motor home occupied the front curb of her house. She came and moved the trash can to give us a little space. It was almost dark, and she led us with a flashlight down the flight of flagstone steps. The unit is a cute, walkout basement., mostly quiet. We said we needed to go find dinner, and she lent us the flashlight. Good news: the next evening forward, the path was lit up. She said the lock was difficult on the sliding glass door. (Many times over the next 6 days we could not get it to lock.) Devices: She believed someone else had taken the correct remote to the tv, so she showed us how to turn it on by pressing underneath the monitor. I asked for the WiFi pw, it was about 26 digits. If you stay there, ask for the official printed version or have her drop it to your eDevice-it will save you a day or two of frustration and missing WiFi, trying to decipher her printing, esp the last 4 digits. The first morning, the motel coffee pack was stale, and the snax crackers had a use by 2018 date. Good news: For the second morning forward, she put a canister of fresh ground coffee in the room, and half and half, which was a lovely thing to do. The awkward start continued. The bed was creaky and not at all comfortable, and we had to move to the sofa. When we reported it, she stood the mattress and linens onto the floor. She said the last people had a child, said the box spring was broken badly. Good news: she did bring in a new one, which took care of bed. When I asked her to take away the flannel sheets which had been on it, she responded she only put them on there two days ago. I said I would put on the clean sheets, and as long as she was taking away the flannel ones, would she mind going ahead and taking the towel from the bath floor. She then sent down a bag of towels.

Perfection!

Kelley was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Before we even got to the property she was very communicative and was willing to do anything She had to to allow us to check in early. The studio was even more beautiful in person! It was just plain perfect. And she got us fresh ground coffee, baked us fresh chocolate chip cookies, and gave us amazing recommendations for different places to see in Colorado Springs. My boyfriend and I couldn’t have asked for a better host and a more beautiful place to stay, if I could do 10 stars I would. Thank you again Kelley! We are more than grateful for your hospitality and kindness!

Convenient and affordable stay for young family

My husband, our 7.5 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kelley's place in Colorado Springs. Conveniently located on a major parkway and Hwy 21, it was easy to get to our local family's home and anywhere else we wanted to go. The park a couple blocks away has a gravel road/trail that connects with the paved trail all along Cottonwood Creek, allowing for easily accessible morning exercise. The small shopping area--also a couple blocks away--offers a few dining options, liquor store (with local microbrews), cleaners, a 7-11, and gas station. The space is simple, but clean, and with comfortable bed, and the kitchen essentials. The grill just outside really ups the cooking potential. The outdoor games, fire pit, and hot tub, are added bonuses. Kelley pre-blew up an air mattress for our kiddo, done up with kid-friendly jungle print, and stocked the place with all-ages films, children's books, and art supplies. Kelley and her son were incredibly hospitable. In additionto setting up the space, they responded quickly and went out of their way to meet our needs. We will definitely look to stay there again for future visits.

My boys and I are all Colorado natives and very active in this beautiful state. I am a teacher and my boys are in college. I started to do VRBO because it was a great way to start saving for college tuition for my boys. My youngest son, Kaiden runs the property mostly during the summer months. This helps my boys to reach their fullest potential.

We have servants' hearts and love to encourage our guests to relax and enjoy the wonders of Colorado's Front Range area. Since I am a native, I am able to suggest a large options of activities that suit just about everyone. Please feel free to ask. We also offer excursions for those interested in hiking guides, Jeep trail riding, local distillery, MJ, and brewery tours and boating (please speak with the owner for further details.)
You will be greeted by our wonderful Border Collie, Molly Girl and our Lop-eared Bunny named, Wilson. They love the guest and happy to meet new people.

During the months August-May, I am a kindergarten teacher. I also tutor children all year long. I love teaching and the rewards that it brings. I do have a small area for kiddos if you are traveling with them.

Why they chose this property

I remodeled the lower level walk out of my home for rental purposes. It is an amazing property, I raised my boys here and the memories are here for others to share as well. I want my boys to be able to come home from college and still have "their rooms." I was never afforded this opportunity and I do VRBO so that my children can.

I love my garden and yard. I enjoy sharing it with others and hope that you find this comforting as well.

What makes this property unique

Owner on-site and is very flexible and understanding of situations, needs, preferences, and special requests. I am here to make your trip fun, not stressful and enjoyable. I have prepared for an anniversary, b-day, and many other celebrations. I provide a variety of packages, or you can custom your package.
There are many yard games and time to relax by the outdoor firepit.
