We really enjoyed it. Cozy, clean and right on the river so you could enjoy hearing it and sitting next to it all day.

Getaway
The cabin itself was fine. However I did not come to stay inside. The outdoor space was terrible. Rotten wood chairs rotten fabric on some chairs. Poison ivy growing up the deck. Mold on deck screen. I understand this is an outdoor deck area and some tidying up may be required. But not to this level. The river was great from the inside deck without screens. We will not return to this cabin.

Lofty Pines We had a great time and look forward to returning!! The cabin and back deck was great.
Lofty Pines We had a great time and look forward to returning!! The cabin and back deck was great.
Only two negatives, when we arrived the master bedroom had a urine or some type of foul smell but we went to town and bought air freshner and eliminated. Cleaning crew was still there when we arrived at 3:15 so maybe guests before us had a dog or some type of accident and just not enough time to address. We also suggest the cabin adds a non-stick cooking pan or two. Was hard preparing breakfast each morning without one. The one metal pan didn't work well for bacon, eggs and pancakes.
My family enjoyed some much needed time away for most of our stay. The cabin’s decor and general ambiance really embrace that mountain country feel. The sound of the river adds to the overall tranquility. We did get quite an unexpected surprise 5 days into our stay. A major storm roared through, causing the river to breach its banks and rise up to the back of the cabin. The river looked like a disaster movie for that day and late into the night. We took the time to move the decking chairs higher up so they didn’t somehow get washed away. We also had to pack all of our things up and loaded our car in case we needed to evacuate. It was pretty scary. I was surprised that no one with management/or owner called to check on us since the river flooding seems to be a thing. We stayed up and monitored the river until 3:00am until it showed signs of receding, and we felt safe enough to get some sleep. It certainly made for a harrowing night, especially with 2 young children in tow. We had never experienced anything like that before. Thankfully, the next day the sun was back out and we tried to make the most of our last day. Overall, we did have a great time and, other than the river flooding one of the days, we did manage to enjoy some family down time. We would consider staying here again.
