Our School House is located just 6 miles from the square in Gettysburg, and even less to Devils Den, Big Round top, the Visitors Center and the Outlet Shoppes of Gettysburg. Just 3 miles from Rt. 15 makes getting here very simple. The school house was once an Amish school house but has been renovated to include all the comforts of home. Completely surrounded by farm land, you can be sure to enjoy peaceful and quiet evenings.

Fantastic and unique schoolhouse property a few minutes from Gettysburg. We highly recommend this adorable place. It has everything you could possibly need including peaceful evenings on the porch.We can't wait to go back.

The school house is a perfect location while visiting Gettysburg. Just minutes to the battlefield and town. The house was very comfortable, well equipped, beautiful inside, and very clean. I will definitely stay again when visiting.

Perfect Stay in Gettysburg

First time visiting Gettysburg with my son, home from law school and a history buff. The schoolhouse was an authentic touch to this historic visit. Property owners were very welcoming; check in was easy, and the house was comfortable, immaculate and every amenity thought of. Close to the National Park and Battlefields, and the town of Gettysburg. Just perfect.

Quiet Weekend getaway

Gettysburg is one of our favorite getaways. We have been visiting the area at least once a year since 2005 and have stayed at many of the different hotels/B&Bs, etc. We are so happy we found this cute little house. Very clean and quiet. Thank you for the great restaurant and shop recommendations. We will definitely consider staying again.

We loved it so peaceful. We enjoy the countryside very much and look forward to returning soon . We might suggest that you put shutters on the lower half of the windows in the bathroom, but other than that we loved your place

Perfect little getaway

We made this reservation to have a little getaway to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Great property, really open feel, 9 foot ceiling which I love! It's just outside of Gettysburg, PA and only 45 minutes from where we live but it felt a world away from everything. It's really quiet which was a plus. We will definitely being staying there again when we need to get away from the hustle and bustle or everyday life...

Nice place

Hosts were quick to respond to any questions I had.House was nice but could use a good once over cleaning for cobwebs. Many in the corners and on objects in the house. I killed five spiders during our stay. The toilet handle in the half bath was broken which made it very difficult to flush as part of it was missing. Overall, a nice place that is close to everything but away from the busy downtown. The suggestions for places to eat and shop were also a nice addition! I would add the Lincoln Dinner as a very good place to eat also!Im confident the things I mentioned above will be taken care of by the hosts and overall we had a nice stay!

AMAZING

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The location is super quiet and peaceful. It is about 7 miles from the historic district. My only complaint was that the bed was too firm for our liking. We ended up purchasing a foam mattress topper which made it so much more comfortable. But if you like firm beds, it will be perfect for you!

Quiet Getaway

Wonderful weekend location while visiting Gettysburg. Host set up extra twin cot to accommodate our 3rd person. We enjoyed morning coffee on the private back deck overlooking the farm field and yard. Wifi speed enabled us to access streaming channel for favorite movies. We ate out but kitchen was well equipped. No dishwasher yet but looks like it may be coming. Minor/insignificant details not quite finished yet but Amish Schoolhouse was quaint, well furnished and suited us just fine!

Staying at the School House made my first trip to Gettysburg extra special! Perfect location in the pretty countryside not far from town and historical sites. I have visited Gettysburg many times in my life however I have never rented a VRBO. All I can say is for this being my first experience it certainly was grand! Amazing transformation of an old school house to a one bedroom dwelling. Super clean and the hosts are outstanding. Excellent communication and tremendous accommodation all the way around. Thank you for my best stay ever in Gettysburg! I will be back! On a side note , if you like to cook the kitchen is nicely equipped and huge! I used it my entire stay.

Perfect getaway

Amish school house was beautifully done and very clean. The only things that would make it better…….a charcoal grill and a fire pit. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
