The Wolf Den

This is your opportunity to stay on the Battlefield while you visit Gettysburg. Surrounded by nature, you will stay at one of the most unique locations in Gettysburg. This secluded retreat is nestled on the western slope of Wolf Hill, on the edge of town. The home poses picturesque views overlooking Gettysburg and surrounding battlefield. Views are best from Fall - Spring when there are no leaves, but you can still catch glimpses of town and surrounding battlefield during the spring and summer.

The home has 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, 1.5 baths, full kitchen, laundry, air conditioning, and heat. Both bedrooms, full bath, and the the laundry area are situated on second floor. The first floor bodes a spacious living room, half bath, and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, electric stove/oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Dining room table has seating for 4.

Location
Location is very convenient to Route 15 and Daniel Lady Farm events. Please not that driveway is stone and not suited for guests on motorcycles.. Wolf Hill is not as well known as the major battle areas of the Gettysburg Battlefield, but it did play a strategic part in the overall battle as Confederate and Union armies engaged in skirmish battles all around this area in the lead up to the fight for Culp's Hill. Wildlife is abundant. You are likely to see deer and turkey during your stay.

Cleaning
We are sticklers for cleanliness. All cleaning is done personally by us. All of our beds and pillows have protective covers, as well as the mattresses, and our bedding is completely changed after each guest (including comforters). Every high touch area is cleaned and sanitized between guests with disinfectant.

Outstanding property

Spic-and-span, modern, remote and convenient (10 minutes) to downtown Gettysburg and the east side of America's largest and most significant battlefield. This beautiful home is situated high atop Wolf Hill's crest and Wolf Den's western exposure overlooks the town of Gettysburg and the South Mountain Range, just beyond. Plenty of room, modern amenities and lots of light as windows are large and clean. Great owners.. We'll definitely return.. Thank you!

There’s so many positives that I could go on forever about. Firstly, Scott was very quick to answer when needed for anything. The location itself was GORGEOUS with the changing leaves and all the wildlife as well as feeling private and homey. It’s also very close to town for shopping, food, and tours. The inside was STUNNING with the fireplace, decorations, and big windows. Both bathrooms are very spacious and I loved the sliding doors. The lights definitely took some time to figure out but I loved that there were some wherever you needed (some single, some multiple). My friends also loved the ceiling fans and will not shut up about them lol. The only reasons that I didn’t give a full 5 stars across the board is because finding the house was slightly difficult as GPS takes you somewhere else and there’s nothing at the start of the driveway to let you know it’s back there. And despite being private, I did wish there were curtains in the green bedroom for added privacy and comfort.Overall, highly recommend. If/when I go back, I will absolutely be looking into staying here again, especially if the back deck/porch is added!
