Cottage is on a 17-acre private property three miles from Battlefield and four miles from downtown Gettysburg providing a beautiful, peaceful setting for your relaxing get-away. Nature and seclusion are yours. Cottage has screened porch to enjoy solitude for everything from your morning coffee to your evening recollections of time spent on the battlefield, downtown stroll, or at the many special events in Gettysburg, such as the Reenactment, Remembrance Day, and the Bluegrass Festival.

Beautiful place!

We loved this cabin and grounds with all of the wonderful, friendly animals and beautiful garden which I would love to see in August!! It was perfect for our Gettysburg trip!!

Second stay at Brierfield Cottages

Another relaxing stay at Brierfield Cottages, this time at Pickett. Both cottages are similar, except this one has a queen size bed while the other one has a king size. Both have nice quality antique furniture, decor and interesting books about Gettysburg. And of course, we enjoyed our visits from the animals! Unfortunately I couldn't remember your dog's name. We would be happy to stay again if in the area.

Beautiful quiet landscape

Excellent location if visiting Gettysburg! Quite beautiful setting. The cabin was clean and cozy. The animals were all friendly and enjoyed watching them play while drinking a hot cup of coffee on the porch! Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay, Very close to Gettysburg

From the farm friends to the cottage set up to the proximity to Gettysburg, this is absolutely a place that I would stay again. The space was fantastic with welcoming amenities, including some feed flakes for the animals. Already recommended this place and looking forward to checking out the other cottage next visit.

A Gettysburg Getaway

We had a relaxing getaway at Picketts Cottage! Tucked away just a few miles from downtown Gettysburg, this peaceful cottage set in the woods is a place we will stay again. The hosts provided us with wine and cheese and crackers and lots of snacks and beverages for our stay. The cottage is beautifully decorated and it’s surroundings are very clean and well kept. What makes this place so unique is the domesticated turkeys,chickens,ducks and rabbits that roam freely about and greet you as you come and go! The hosts leave a bag of food for us to feed the birds in the mornings and we were given half a dozen fresh eggs upon checking out! A very special place indeed!

Annual Visit

Just completed another 3 night stay at the Brierfield cottages. As usual I find it difficult to say enough positive things about the accommodations or the inn keepers Chris & Todd. It is rare to find a place with such attention to detail and amenities. Hope to stay there for many years to come. Thank you Chris and Todd, have a great 2025.

Peaceful and beautiful, perfect location to see Gettysburg and surrounding countryside. The ambience and decor is charming, and the host was responsive to all questions. Could not have been happier with this stay, and only wish that it could have been longer!!

Tranquil surroundings

Very impressed. Hosts were kind and thoughtful. The cottage was charming. Turkeys, rabbits and chickens were regular visitors. The host even offered us eggs as we were leaving. We’re glad we stayed there.

Relaxing spot

All the welcoming animals were great turkeys, chickens and the bunnies were the best. Walking out of the cottage early in the am with the fog lifting and the bunnies hopping around were awesome. Friendliest hosts, with some snacks and refreshments in the fridge! Thanks you!

Oasis of relaxation

A perfect place to relax and reset when life has overtaken stressful situations, this place has all of that and more. I recommend this cottage hands down over a motel room. The hosts are attentive and accommodating. Easily accessible and go over and above to make their guest have a memorable experience.
